I knew Passing Through had a braodway vibe, I'm really glad I found this song because I love Kaden MacKay's musical theater-y style, it's so good. Though I discovered this song through someone making a duet on it, and I am kind of disappointed that's not part of the original song because it made it even better, which is saying something because this is amazing.
I love how in the first "Lovers" portion of the song it's slightly immature and childish, like a kid confessing their love to another kid after kicking down their sand castle for years. Man this song made me scared and cry. Like how it made a genuine story with only knowing one side of it but I’m scared of it not working out with the two. We never here the other person so we can only guess what they are thinking or saying like the guy. This is a true story of enemies to lovers in a good way. I love how a story can be told in 6 minutes while books take hours just to get to the point.
I want them to make an actual movie/musical out of this story with this song in it

Ive only heard the first two parts of this song on tiktok, but recently saw that someone on there will be making and posting an animatic of my two favorites characters to this full song so i wanted to listen to the full thing and WOW. This is just literally me and my husband during Highschool. My French teacher placed me with him to help me teach him and he basically acted like the guy in this song. But I am definitely an annoying one for sure so poked back at him a lot. Like purposely annoying but also being friendly almost out of spite to him trying to be aloof/cynical.
Then he suddenly realized he came to like me, almost exactly like the guy in this song. And yep went through all this, and I sent him this song. He was quiet for a few moments and said, "Yea I love your stupid face." And I laughed.
