yeah same, i don't know why people are so stressed about this, just mod your 3ds and download anything you want lol. It's all preserved in a site that is called... well you replace the e in e shop with h, if you know you know.
@@realthemariogamer been using a combo of (that😃)shop and Google. Sadly there's a few titles weirdly missing in the shop people haven't dumped yet such as some Yoshi titles and Dillon's Dead Heat Breakers which I had to find elsewhere

homebrewing 3DS is really easy! I had little to no experience with modding before I homebrewed my first 3DS
How would I go about doing that? I just bought a 2DS XL myself just last March 😊
i legit panic-modded my 2ds because of the eshop closure and it was so easy lol
EASY FIX - Pirate the games. It sucks but that's just how Nintendo is forcing us to act.
If Nintendo is going to take away my ability to buy the games I want, then I will find them through other means.

@Natester_is_the_ultimate_gangster it's not stealing. If Nintendo is no longer supporting the game, or selling it, it's not theft. They aren't losing any money since they'll no longer be selling games legally.
Also, what defines this as theft? I'm not taking anything physical. It's a digital Rom or cia file loaded on the web available for all to find with a simple google search. I've paid and supported them to this day but if they are going to stop offering ways to sell it then I'll have to resort to piracy on modded DS'

As much as I want to support major gaming companies, but Nintendo makes me get the games I want since they don't care about moving them over to the Switch.
Definitely mod your 3ds or 2ds, if nintendo taking away our option, then it's fair game for us to bring them back by modding our handhelds. Homebrewing is easy af, near impossible to f*ck up

Another thing you should do is download any updates for games you want to have. Fortunately it is possible to download the updates for free before you buy the games. That way you can be certain that your future games will work at the latest version. The amount of games with updates is also very manageable.
Also, the updates are usually fairly small in size too (it's not the case for Minecraft, but most of them are just a few blocks).
it's fine to have a subscription service, but it's not fine to not also offer those titles for sale. you stop paying for that service, the games go away
Yeah, he said he preferred the subscription service and I was like “what?!?”. You don’t own the games. So when they shut down NSO you will lose all the legacy content. I figured that was obvious to everyone.

I have a bigass list of games that I need to buy and most of them are eShop exclusives. I don’t have a second 3DS, but I plan on getting one to back-up all of those games on top of homebrewing it for fun. Also because the 3DS I have now, I’ve owned for almost 7 years now, so it’s a little beat up. Of course, I do have a few Wii U games I want to get too, but that list doesn’t compare to my 3DS list.
I hope we both end up happy with our respective results by the time they shut down!

@Jiozak you get the pokemon puzzle game that pikachu on it since you need a program it to hombrew your other 3ds and is whitch the easier way to do too.
I recommend the Fire emblem games and it DLC for your 3DS
DLC are bit tricky to access u have to get to certain chapters to unlock them

you can mod it and download pretty much anything you want.
Mod it, and if you’re like me and piracy ain’t your thing, get some physical games used and dump them and install it.

Certain games like Cubic Ninja, Paper Mario Sticker Star, Super Smash Bros, Ocarina of Time or Pokemon Omega Ruby have exploits and able to run homebrew launcher so you can backup your save data via homebrew software, without modding the 3DS. Alternatively you can also use Sky3DS Plus flash card and load those games that have exploit to run the homebrew launcher. Well that's what I did while keeping my 3DS as legit as possible. And with that homebrew data backup apps, you can also transfer the save data to another 3DS game cart as well, like 2 same games had same save data. This extremely useful to a certain games that nintendo removed or block the backup save data feature like Pokemon series or Animal Crossing Series (there are no other legit way to backup save data of those games).

The Wii U/3DS eshop closing is the only reason I’m trying to get a Wii U so I can play games like the first 2 golden sun games the metabots rpg games metabee and rokusho version as well as Nintendo making it so if you wanna play games like wind waker and twilight princess hd remakes after the eshop closes you have to buy them physically witch is gonna get reeeeeeeealy expensive since digital games will be impossible to get and physical games will be near impossible to get since they will be super expensive I have a lot of fond memories of the DS and 3DS especially since a few years ago I bought a new 2DS XL and linked my account by starting a brand new 2DS eshop account just to get earthbound and bought a bunch of other games including MY ENTIRE OLD 3DS DIGITAL LIBRARY VC games and all just to play them because I had a completely separate account for switch because I forgot both the email and password I used for my old account but hopefully Nintendo might take a look at fan feedback or all their 3DS digital sales and see OH maybe shutting down these HUGE sources of money isn’t such a good idea

Bro I just realised that I can't use a credit card on 3ds after May 23rd. This means that I now have just 9 days to buy the few games I would like to buy on the eshop. Thank god I bought my 32gb micro sd card the other day in preparation. I guess I'll buy a couple of the games tommorow.

Just homebrew my 2ds and will be doing it to other 3ds !!! It’s in it’s easiest state at the moment and takes no more than an hour if you know what you’re doing

Just mod the consoles, or pay someone to do so, and load them up with games from the internet. It's that simple. Yes, technically it's illegal, but hey, so's exceeding the speed limit but modding is much less dangerous to others. In the words of the great Lord Voultar - "just like that".
I dont get it, why are people making such a fuss of this? Just mod your 3ds and dump your cartridges or just install games through CFW, same with the Wii U... these consoles are super straightforward to mod...🤦🏽♂️

My 3ds is hacked and my switch is hacked. NSO in general sucks the online sucks the game selection for NSO sucks. The fact they are making you pay an extra fee for the subscription to play N64 and Genesis games sucks. No, I miss virtual console where you can pick and choose the game that you want to download and play and not give us this mediocre version of a way to play retro titles. I hacked the switch so I can play more than just what Nintendo gives me.
Them shutting it down means Im going to start leaning into portable games through other companies. It's why I'm glad the steamdeck is coming. I need to rethink trusting Nintendo with digital purchases.
Nintendo are wrong for this so In a few years time you won’t be able to purchase yr favourite game ever again or they’ll charge you again for a game you already bought/owned. 98% of my 3ds collection physical thank God. I just had to buy from eshop shin megami apocalypse snes mario world and I’ll look for a few others even smash content I don’t have the cloud character or Ryu. I just started shin megami apocalypse for first time ever and IM LOVING IT I’ve had a 3ds for over ten years. I also bought revelations for fire emblem dlc.

Yeah, that kinda is the silver lining with this whole situation. If they're no longer gonna offer the games in any easy, legitimate way, then using other methods should be fair game
Don’t waste your money guys you don’t need to to buy a single game from the eshop. Just mod your 3DS XL and get all the games for the 3DS and more enough said… 😌
