It's because the one who made the 3ds is dead, and the one who made the switch didn't think back. Such it is but 3ds wins everyday over switch. Hopefully switch 2 gets better as it has taken som critic of fans.

I just watched this video and it brings me back to the glory days of the 3ds when everyone had them, I remember like going out with it and everything. It was so fun to play with my brothers and family. And man I just got one now and I am stuck to it, can't even like lay it down after modding it. The 3ds is one of the best consoles not even joking, that was the best peak years of living. TY NINTENDO!

Have your views evolved at all since making this? I genuinely think M&L combat is a flawed concept. If you can avoid all damage for free, why bother with limited-use super moves (MP in most RPGs)? The enemy can't hurt you and normal, free attacks will kill it eventually. Enemy formations/synergies? Who cares what they do: they can't touch you. Prioritising? See the above point. Items? You're not getting hurt. Ailments, buffs and debuffs? You'll win unscathed eventually anyway. See what I mean? Action commands, random encounters, etc. Those things have pros and cons, too. I'll spare you the details, though.

Fun Fact: Mario RPG was made because RPG's weren't selling well in the west at the time.

I love the Mario RPG’s, it was my gateway to learning of the genre and how I fell in love with it but I hate how many times I’ve heard it repeated that they’re the pinnacle of the genre just because you can press some buttons when attacking. The generalization of the genre from your narrow field of experience prevents you from seeing the joy of strategizing and building your party members which the M&L games are lacking in, like as soon as you get the most powerful bros move available to you you’re just going to spam it. Paper Mario’s a lot more customizable with the badges and those are great but not near the level as other games. Fire Emblem is a series I fell in love with because of how addictive the class and skill mechanics are to build my ideal units. Plus this kind of attitude prevents you from experiencing some fantastic stories gaming has to offer. This is an action RPG but Xenoblade’s genuinely changed my worldview, multiple times and I wouldn’t have played it if I hadn’t broadened the scope of games I’m willing to play.

How do you get 300 hours in SM3DL and NSMB2 ? I didn't think there was that much content. Also how many 3ds consoles have you been through? That N3dsxl you have looks pretty pristine

how are motion control games with the fixture? i like motion controls and use them in handheld but having the screen actually lever away when i try to aim seems actually unbearable

This is honestly what made the game for me. I remember playing main story and feeling disappointed in its sameness to the last 3 Mario releases. But the DLC honestly gave the game a whole new feel for it that was really exciting to play. You really had to make quick decisions like “Is it worth spending time here? Or could there be more coins down the level?” lol really fun. Great video

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you when it comes to turn-based combat. Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time was my very first RPG, so I was expecting action commands to be standard for turn-based combat. But then I play Final Fantasy VII for the first time, and I find out the hard way that said action commands don't exist in that game. (or most turn-based RPGs for that matter) So yeah, the Mario RPGs pretty much spoiled turn-based combat for me as well. That being said, have you ever played any Action-RPGs? Not every RPG uses turn-based combat. There are also a lot of RPGs that use real-time combat where you have full control over the character's movement and actions, hence the term "Action-RPG." I would highly recommend trying out the Kingdom Hearts series. It uses real-time combat, and you can actually dodge and block attacks with good timing. :)

Yes, the footage in this video is from the Switch version of AHIT - Yes it runs at a lower resolution/capped at 30 FPS, but it's not terrible (i did record at 1080p/60, to clarify). Occasionally, on the switch version, you will have to deal with the game just straight up freezing for 3-6 seconds, longer load times, and lower performance, but it's not horrid if that's the way you wanna go. If any of those are deal breakers, it's on Playstation, Xbox, and Steam which all perform much better. Just play the game anyway you can, I slept on it for years and I'm kinda kicking myself for not playing it sooner tbh

So true. I have like 310 hours in this game, so I'd definitely say money was well spent. I actually 100%'ed this game twice because I had to switch user accounts.

I got my games more digital but I do get single player games physical and also try to at least get one version of the pokemon games physical as well since I now collect both versions of the pokemon games and I have another switch as well for that

The nice thing about the switch is that you don't have to download the games from the card on the switch, unlike with the BS Sony does

Most of my Nintendo Switch games are becoming digital and i got my 512GB arriving tomorrow. I don't like carrying little game cartridges then ended up lost, stolen or forgotten yo return to me

I bought one of these a couple of years ago... Whilst it never killed either of my switches (original or OLED) it did eventually stop working. It would power the switch without issue but it stopped outputting via HDMI. A bit of research online suggested that leaving this dock plugged in with their own shadowcast peripheral overheated the HDMI connection. Would I buy it again... Possibly but I think a better alternative is to buy a second hand official dock and reshell it with a smaller more portable shell. The other downside is that you end up using longer cables which isn't as neat and compact as the design implies.

As a certified Run Button Hater, I think the reason some people only complain about it in 64DS is because the walk speed is SO slow. I personally dislike the run button in all games and don't care for 2D Mario as a whole as a result, but I have played them enough to say that the base speed is a little more reasonable in the NES games. I think we're FAR overdue for a version of this game with the smooth controls of the original and all the improvements of DS. It's only one of the most influential video games of all time; it deserves to be perfect. Then nobody will have to fight anymore :) Side note: Your video quality is really good for only having a few hundred subs!
