I had made the decision when the switch came out to go all digital. I have always been a physical copy person. I got a 1TB card on it so I've been good to go but since the eshop announcement happened I've started to question if this was a good idea. I've been thinking of building my physical library for switch and ditching digital. Plus this may be the last generation of physical media anyways.
For me, I personally do all physical games in the switch. This is mainly because I’m just playing switch exclusive games on it. Also the box art inside of the switch games are pretty dope. Ex: Pokémon games and Zelda games
I agree, even though I don’t do digital often as I prefer saving that for indie games or platformers. Most games with large storage such as JRPGS take up space on memory card and I don’t feel interested in buying a new if I run out of space. I agree in the hybrid mentality for the Switch. Most of my Nintendo Switch games are becoming digital and i got my 512GB arriving tomorrow. I don't like carrying little game cartridges then ended up lost, stolen or forgotten yo return to me
I got my games more digital but I do get single player games physical and also try to at least get one version of the pokemon games physical as well since I now collect both versions of the pokemon games and I have another switch as well for that

I only have a 32 gig card in my 3ds 20gigs used and what’s weird majority of my games are physical copies. I have smt apocalypse, animal crossing, steam dig 1-2 plus most of them have updates re digital. I do have a ton of demos I can delete though. O and Nintendo announced they closing the 3ds eshop.
yea i am collecting pythisical switch games because digital no worth it unless i hack my switch then gett free games thats another story comment . but i buy hard copies instead off digital my self heck i had too use a 50$ amazon gift card too get half off xenoblade 2 the guy was asking 70$ for itwas like nope i only paied 20 i scammed a scalper and a scammer lol . also some games that are pyscical can go up in value though like shantea why are they over priced at 100 or 80 or some off the atelier games over priced too or games made fomr kt just because there kt that are over priced or atlus games because some off them are over priced too this is where i just want too quit gaming ingeneral because if you miss out on day one then your fucked if you wait there are down falls off going pyscical with the longer you wait no one talks about the cons of going disc over digital some games i get digital because it is the easy way off owning them sometimes i do go digital depends on the sale and price but i just like collecting hard copies off games sometimes you know

The nice thing about the switch is that you don't have to download the games from the card on the switch, unlike with the BS Sony does
With the 3ds eshop closure it only made me more inclined to get all my games physically. Theres just so many pros to physical media
Just get physical especially with how the companies are acting with their games going to next gen backwards compatibility.

I prefer digital because I tend to loose things but I understand why you like physical. But Nintendo is taking out the physical copies.

You don't "own" anything digital, you just rent the stuff for as long as those servers are up.
