My review of the Hori Tekken 6 Wireless Stick. This thing is trash. If you are interested in more vieos like this pne please subscribe to this channel.
The only good thing I can say about this stick is it made me appreciate premium components. I actually spent a month learning how to play stick using this (the lever broke after a month). A cheap stick with not so great parts is fine and all, but if it breaks on you then the hidden costs of replacement pile up. Anyway, then I upgraded to the MadCatz TE and was immediately blown away the moment I went to press a button and it responded before I even thought I'd pressed it. It was a world of difference feeling how sensitive the sanwa parts in that stick were.
I honestly got this a couple of months ago, and I'll honestly say, I still love using it. Even though I have a MadCatz TE Stick right now, I still enjoy using this stick. Sure I won't use it for tournaments and all, but for a beginner's stick, I'd say this works well.
I got one for $30 CAD used today from Kijiji. Great condition. My initial impression is that it's fine. I didn't do any research on it, I just though "$30 to play with an arcade stick! Better than using a PlayStation style contorted controller" This review is making me think twice LOL Do you think this was a fair Price? I'm thinking it's fine for someone who isn't looking to play too seriously. The joystick and buttons are responsive.
the tekken 5 case is so fucking awesome...the spacing is perfect and i started using the L2 button as a L + M input in umvc3 so i can wave dash fast as hell with little effort
Just one thing i'd like to point out, both me and my friend have this arcade stick and we often play together with them and never had a signal problem. Anyway nice review, the fact that its plastic definitely sucks, and the actual stick is really average.
regardless of all the disadvantages you listed, what about the stick performance-wise? Like, specifically, whether it's comfortable to wavedash with and whatnot? Also, what's the best stick you think there is?
Erm, did you even read the instructions that came with the stick? And as far as I know, you can't get a separate one. You'll probably have to mod the stick somehow with a Dualshock 3 PCB to be able to use it again.

Not sure if you figured things out since you posted your comment, but I figured I'd chime in anyway, if only just for someone reading this in the future. $30 is not a rip-off; most Chinese knockoff sticks cost more than that, and so would buying parts individually... That being said, while the price is fair, that still doesn't make it a good stick, for all the reasons mentioned in the video. What you could do is just treat it as parts: you got yourself a functional case, a joystick, and some buttons for $30, now rip out the wireless module and stock PCB, and replace it with an aftermarket board (e.g. Brook) thereby turning a crappy wireless stick into a solid wired one that will run on whatever platform you want.
@@lordhijinx thanks for the info and reply. I don't use it to often now as I got a Pandora 9, but I think it was worth the $30. As for the Pandora, it can be used on a PC too, so it's a good upgrade for my needs.
Sucks to see that the PS3 version of this stick is lame. I have the 360 version and it is my first arcade stick, so far it has done pretty well for me, it seems to do pretty well with battery life (mind you I don't play all day every day). Are most regular arcade sticks heavy? I kind of like how light this one is, I mainly use it to get the fundamentals of using a stick down, I am still a pad player at heart. I may consider switching if I can get the muscle memory/instinctual mashing down pat.
So would the Anniversary edition stick be allowed in tournament? Also how is the actual quality of the T6 wireless stick in terms of the stick control/movement and the button reaction? Any delay or anything?
Hori sticks, especially at such price are pretty crap compared to more costly ones. I've used this one and I can honestly say that it's not worth the price at all.
I disagree, that person is better off saving up for a fightstick pro or something. If they don't like it, they can sell it and potentially profit from it. If they lose money, they'll lose like 30 bucks or so (which is about the same price you'd pay for this, might be more since this is a rarity now.). If they end up liking it, they won't look back and won't have to spend more money.
tavis Taite Yeah i can agree with that. I was just saying its not that bad of a fightstick, i personnaly used it for years without any problem. Of course i didnt know the feel of a top-quality one at the time but yeah it works fine seems like a toy but its durable.
+SENzA I don't know enough about the q1 to give a fair judgment, but I'd say maybe to it if you mod the stick and buttons to sanwa or something similar.
Does anyone know if this particular Fight Stick works on PS4 console? I just bought a PS4 and I like a wireless to test out Street Fighter 5. Let me know. Thanks.
Actually the Xbox 360 version is MUCH BETTER. The stick overall is trash but yes, it wouldn't hurt to call it a "decent" stick. The buttons are definitely terrible but the ball top isn't bad. And if you had the PS3 version back then, it would be very frustrating. There is a reason sticks use wires not wireless. They actually should have just used something similar to the dualshocks wireless controller board.
This review is total garbage. Almost every common focuses on technical compatibility and this kid raging about how he has to get off his ass to turn on the PS3, nothing about the actual utility of the stick. The "thing its supposed to do" is be a decent arcade stick for half the price they usually cost, not be "truly wireless", most tournament pros would refuse a wireless stick no matter how good it was. I have the Xbox version and its pretty good, I play much better on stick than on pad (and I have a Fight Pad) and I dont generally feel like I'm losing inputs, I think I could probably hit more combos with a stick costing three times as much, but for everyday play its absolutely great.

i know I am pretty randomly asking but does anyone know of a good website to watch newly released series online ?
@Genesis Carl try Flixzone. You can find it by googling =)
@Ari Johan Yea, have been watching on Flixzone for months myself :)
@Ari Johan thank you, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it !
@Genesis Carl You are welcome :D
Picked up a broken one for 15 bucks, Im going to gut it and replace the components. Should be a fun little project.
@Irvin3Kinneas Honestly, I'd save your money for a good stick.

This review is great!! I for one appreciate the honesty and am not so fragile nor easily offended by a few normal cuss words
Subscribed, I like your approach to these reviews. It's pretty awesome that you have been putting out more content recently.
Finally a reliable review..everyone else was so biased....thanks very much!!!
Thanks for the review, was tempted to buy one of these for cheapish on ebay until i saw this. Just wish the good ones weren't so stupidly over priced.
Hori is Hori. It is not a Sanwa knockoff lol. Hori is licenesed under Playstation since the beginning
The 360 version works as a plug and play for PC for MAME since Xbox is a Microsoft driver.
Nice review man. I'm looking to invest in a stick ASAP so your reviews at this point are really helpful.
I actually lowkey miss having this arcade stick
The NEO GEO AES stick is super light and it is one of the greatest sticks I have ever used to this day.
I bought one like a week ago, and while the battery part bothered me, it didn't lost connection ONCE and overall feels good for its price!
Just one thing i'd like to point out, both me and my friend have this arcade stick and we often play together with them and never had a signal problem. Anyway nice review, the fact that its plastic definitely sucks, and the actual stick is really average.
I agree, this stick is ass. I have the 360 version and the A button keeps on getting stuck
I'd love to see more hardware reviews from Lord Aris; seems like he lost interest at some point.

thank you for reviewing the hori tekken. needed some info on it.
nice video review, please keep the videos coming
what a handsome young man

Thank you, I thought about buying this for the xbox 360, but the battery part is a huge turn off.
Its a good arcade stick for those who just want to try or learn to play with a stick, nothing competitive.

+tavis Taite i agree but still start cheap like a qanba q1 for around $70
+SENzA I don't know enough about the q1 to give a fair judgment, but I'd say maybe to it if you mod the stick and buttons to sanwa or something similar.
when I played on this stick, I got it for $40 bucks, because it was on clearance
This crappy Tekken 6 arcade stick needs a crown lever bat-top joystick and sanwa buttons installed into it.
Good review. More reviews please.
so would you recommend me buying this arcade stick for the xbox or saving my money for a better arcade stick
This stick is fabulous on Xbox
Cool
This was my first stick. It is trash. I lost the adapter.
I thought you were saying "whorie" stick lol
good video!
I had both of those types of arcade sticks and after a few months of using them some of the buttons died out on me
Does this stick worth 25 bucks?
Wonder how long it took him to get his 100 bucks off this one hmmmm
Priceless. sh*ttin' ma pants as we speak
any template for mod this stick picture?
does it work on PC?
I got this arcade stick at a goodwill for 7 bucks lol
Does anyone know if this particular Fight Stick works on PS4 console? I just bought a PS4 and I like a wireless to test out Street Fighter 5. Let me know. Thanks.
I don't care about wireless shit and if I can't turn on my PS3 with it just tell me if it's comfortable and you are able to play properly with it?
@hagane1989 You probably shouldn't use it at a tournament anyway.
good review ty
Erm, you're supposed to put batteries first, then connect the USB receiver onto your PS3.
Este control funciona para la consola PS4 en Tekken 7?
Jose Contreras with a Brook Converter, yes, but this stick is pretty trash and I wouldn't recommend you using it at all.
LOL Shaddup
I know for a fact this guy is lying iv seen people use 2 of these at the same time, with no problems

Wow I thought it was just me lol XD
YAY FOR XBOX
BUY A HORI, YOU'LL BE SORRY!
You can't spell "horrid" without Hori!

***** that just means he's had a long time to grow up, and is still a kid.
***** hurray
SquillagusNiggle im guessing you dont know who Aris is...
