I have received confirmation from my contact at EightArc on the differences between the Q4 and the EightArc Fusion. 1. EightArc start button has been removed from the top panel and moved to the top right mini buttons. the Q4 has the start button on the main face. 2. the headphones wrap around 1 ear instead of being the iPhone-like earbuds. 3. handle has been removed
@AbeloW1000 It uses poor quality parts, the case is completely made of plastic, it takes batteries and the signal for the stick can be disrupted by other electronic devices. That stick is bottom tier in my opinion.
In the Philippines the fightstick market is pretty much dominated by HORI. The only Madcatz stick I saw was sa SFXT Pro that comes bundled with the PS3 game.
@Eriyoth We reduced shipping to Canada to $45. Madcatz shipping is cheaper because they probably have a depot located in Canada while we are shipping from San Francisco, CA.

TBH Aris, the dual-modded stick isn't that much of a deal since you can get Quanba's out-of-the-box dual-modded for $150. In fact, the layout of the turbo panel on the second stick is strangely familiar to the Quanba. I like the first model quite a bit though, removable cable and recessed buttons, usually you'd only see that in a custom made stick.
They're partnered with Qanba or something. Beside the EightArc logo you can see what looks like the Qanba logo. But yeah the Qanba dual modded stick is a lot cheaper and has the handle (some versions don't), but I guess if you really hate the start button placement.
@AbeloW1000 I switched from pad to stick about two years ago and it was an awful experience but well worth it in the end. All I can say it, prepare to go back to the very beginning when you were a complete noob and embrace it. No one can tell you "how" to use it, that's entirely up to you. Practice, practice, practice. Go into training mode and do each move 25-50 times until you get the feel of the stick down and the moves out consistently then move onto combos, you'll get it eventually.
@c0118oy my guess right now would be that you can buy the Fusion right now and have it this week while you'll be waiting quite a while before Qanba makes another wave of Q4s.

If it wasn't for the low price tag at the time, and the artbook included, I would've regretted it horribly :P It's decent if you just want to play some casual shmups via MAME (if you got a wireless receiver for a PC). Even without anything to compare it to at the time, I could feel how "cheap" it was made. Bought a Qanba Q4RAF later (which I prefer over the Eightarc, although they're 95% alike), and it made a world of difference to me. :)
if sega would make the sega saturn pad re-done with (4) ps3 style shoulder buttons, instead of (2), six face buttons and select and start. perfection. those sticks look good, though.
I like the Razer Atrox, the Razer Panthera, the Qanba Dragon, the Mat Catz Tournament Edition 2 arcade sticks and the Hori Vewlix series because they are easier to modify.

The Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition Fight Stick had both a foam padded bottom (although not Velcro) and a detachable cable, so this stick isn't the first in that regard, FYI! :)

my concern with the detachable usb is that it gets loose which happens to almost all usb plugs/devices
