I managed to snag a couple of the OG PS1 Namco sticks on eBay recently (2024) for about $75 bucks each, both in basically like-new condition. No rust on the screws or the metal plates at all. They were clearly not played on much, and even the sticks still feel pretty fresh. I've seen some other ones on eBay in much worse condition with a lot of rust and scratches, for similar prices. I think I got pretty lucky. I always thought the Madcatz Namco stick was pretty dope looking. The prices they command now are insane though so I doubt I'll be owning one any time soon.
Ok, buy this stick and keep it on the box. That's the BEST way to use this stick. Just DON'T PLAY on this stick, because it's very cool and brilliant. Best review I ever seen.
I've bought the Namco Arcade Stick in a good shape for 1 Euro... + 5 Euro shipping. Just a lucky day. Usually they go from 30-60 Euro (without the box). So far I really enjouy the Namco Classic Stick and I would love to see an newer model with the same slick design with sanwa parts.
Those sticks are all sorts of sexy. From a business standpoint, I can understand why MadCatz(and Hori to an extent) releases themed sticks for newer games. But I wish that they would also offer "art-less" sticks for those who'd prefer it and don't feel like paying a premium for something that's limited edition. $190 is a ridiculous price, that's an EightArc Fusion right there.
This pure black Namco arcade stick is a beast. So cool. The artwork on the most stick is really annoying.. not bad though, but could fit more a simple design. The worst (in my opinion) is the Street Fighter Mad Catz SE.. but the WWE version with his own cheese artworc is my favorite for the worst of all artworc designs
Hori needs to get to work on a Hori RAP N Hayabusa arcade stick controller with a 6-button noir layout and give it the Namco theme treatment and make the arcade stick controller compatible with PS3, PS4, PS5, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Heh. I got my Namco stick for $10 or something when Wal-Mart was closing them out. Found another at a used game store years later for $25.

Have you considered getting replacement metal bottoms or replacement screws for your old-school Namco stick?
the asciiware ps1 arcade stick is pretty good too. not as high quality as the namco stick but not bad
