I have more then 10 fav ytubers and the reason i watch them is sometimes daily uploads and long videos to stop my boring and making me laugh even tho like 10% do it
Wait this video was posted like 12 mins ago but your comment was posted 6 hours ago and i know how u did it im a youtuber too ok so nobody has to tell me how he did it LMAO
So cool to see new folks come in and learn. I switched to FCP/Motion and it is truly amazing for editing vids. Scott is doing a great job on picking up on the editing style so quickly. There was only one thing I'd say to Scott for feedback "enable presence boost and do a low cut on that SM7B"... it sounds way too "boomy". Great job as always guys.
I really enjoyed when Sam started getting more face time on the vids and now Scott adds a nice fresh energy. I can't wait to see all of you in a face-to-face roundtable setting.... Just a thought
I use a C70 for corporate work and have used a myriad of cinema cameras before (Arri, Red, Canon, BlackMagic). At this point in my career I've realized that the audience we're shooting stuff for will never notice what we shoot on. The C70 doesn't shoot in RAW like a C300 or C500 will, but nobody cares at the end of the day after RUclips and Facebook compression. Color science is great and better with Red and especially Arri, but unless I'm shooting a movie...nobody cares as long as it looks good enough. Manual focus will be better than autofocus if you know what you're doing, but if you're a 1 man crew then AF will win just out of sheer convenience alone and AF these days (as long as you're not using Panasonic) is fantastic. Get the camera that works for you, not the camera that RUclips videos tell you to get. Like a lot of things in life "good enough" will get you very far and make your clients (or audience on RUclips) blissfully unaware that there is even better stuff you could be doing.
This was the perfect video. Everything here is something I needed, but that audio eq bit really opened my mind. I've been searching for ways to get rid of that hollow sound from being further away from the mic. EQ seems to help it. Big thank you.
A recommendation is to look into ways podcasters edit there audio, usually its always run through EQ, compression and then normalized. Also default EQ presets tend to over do their EQ apparently, not an expert just what ive seen or heard from others so if you want more info worth giving google a try.
Every since I have started my "youtube career", this had been my favorite channel. I have sadly realized though I still don't have the direction I need to make it work. Tips, tricks and abilities all available but what I want to do not there. Keep rocking these out and can't wait to see what happens with the expansion of the team and more videos with them in them. It's always a pleasure seeing Harris but bud you're needed else where it's time to pass the torch and to keep thinking of epic ideas!
Love these kinds of videos. Learning the process, the programs, the hardware. It really helps to visualize the work involved if someone got to the point that this channel is at now, as well as how to create an effective workflow that can work over long distance
Love all the behind the scenes info! Also enjoy seeing the whole team being featured in these vids. It's fun seeing the dynamics between all of y'all. It would be fun to see videos where y'all are all in the same room discussing this kind of stuff. Maybe when SenpaiHQ is done? Thanks for all y'all do for the industry!
This trio is the best thing that has ever happened to RUclips. Amazing video. I just got settled after a move and literally way exactly what I was thinking I needed a video on before I even looked.
LOVED this video. It was so interesting to see and learn from your process. Alpha Gaming has become one of only a handful of channels I watch every time there is something new (no matter what the topic is). I appreciate all the effort you put into every project (and the effort really shows). As a content creator myself, your channel is a wealth of knowledge. Since you ask, Matt D'Avella's is another favorite channel of mine alongside this one. I love the production quality, the story and how he somehow makes his awkward quirkiness hilarious, entertaining and relatable.
I use an A7iii and A7Riv for my streaming and videos and then my lighting: 3 Neewer 480 RGB LED lights, a Godox ML-60w and looks incredible. Since Streamlabs and OBS can input LUTs it makes the webcam look amazing (using Cine4 and S-gamut 3). Only started streaming recently, but I do Product Photography as a second job so all the gear I needed was already there haha (minus a few Camlinks).
I appreciate the true dedication in your workflow guys. It really shows how much effort goes into making everything look professional. Although it isn't as easy as simply "making graphics" and "dragging and dropping effects". Gave me a good chuckle.

I love all of your contents so much, and I'm starting being a youtuber as well (start from scratch - not even start yet). May I ask you a question? How do you do to reduce the noise when you recording video? I used the Rode Video Micro but It turns out too much noise, I'll defo respect if you could help me out. So much thanks, have a nice day and keep posting useful vdo so far.
Weirdly, I just learned about J-cuts like a week or two ago. Big difference maker! Thanks for pointing out some of the cool things you guys do behind the scenes. Definitely a little aspirational because you guys are at such a high level but it's really awesome to see this kind of stuff and get ideas/inspired. Great content as always! :)
Such a good video. So many little tips that make a huge difference. Seriously, thanks for sharing and giving us small RUclipsrs some nice ideas to incorporate into our own videos!
Usually more of a lurker, but just wanted to chime in and say that as a regular viewer I'm really starting to get a feel for the Team environment that Alpha Gaming has going on at the moment. Love the videos that have Sam and Scott in them!
Just wanted to say you guys make a great team. To me, it looks as though the whole thing was made by 1 single person. Congrats once again on the great content you make. Btw, this is one of my favorite YT channels given the production value, the quality of the information, and your own personalities. Keep up the great work, gentlemen!
his camera quality is pretty average only thing makes it seem special is that his higher amount of blur to his background witch fromws low f.stop and larger lenses like 30mm and 50 mm with f.2 or lower capable lenaes
Loved the video. The only thing missing would probably be the process of coming up with the idea. How did you brainstorm? How did you decide the titles, keywords, and metadata? etc... Been a huge fan for a bit now, Thank you for always being so genuine and open with your content.
Were you shooting in 6k in the event you needed to zoom while in post you wouldn't have any quality loss or does the camera not do D-log at lower resolutions? I don't know what youtube's max resolution is, but 6k seems like overkill in most situations, especially since, from my experience, the majority of the time viewers don't watch videos full screen so youtube auto-set's the resolution to 480p, maybe 720p, for the majority of viewers. Not that I'm saying that having the best you can afford doesn't make sense, but I do wonder how long it takes to recoup the cost of those cameras would be without the steady revenue stream of your music side of the business would be as well.
GREAT VIDEO! im looking to set up a podcast studio but not sure what camera to get what would you reccomend thats in a good price range and can stream for hours with out batteries dying?
My never unanswered questions to all gamers / streamers : Who did edited your videos? who did the effects, add text, put zoom in or zoom out, etc etc? is it your self or using a third party apps? i never knew the answers to that questions.
Thanks Harris for the behind the scenes video. Now I know I will never be able to produce something as good as yours, LOL. It looks simple but took a lot of work in the back end.
I really like the channel and the information. I'm getting ready to separate from the Army and will be streaming as a side gig, but want my content to be better than what I have now. I don't know where to begin, even though I have a camera, 4K capture card, gaming consoles, etc.. I have all the equipment but just don't know how to best utilize it.
My guess is they created it themselves. Most camera manufacturers have an input LUT to use for converting LOG to a different color space, like Rec. 709. From there the colorist can make changes to the color grade and export. In this instance they have the same location, camera, and lighting, so it makes sense to create a custom LUT for that instead of repeating those steps each time.
Just spitballing, but probably yeah. They probably record like 30 minutes for every 10 minutes of final product, and in 4k, with a seperate RAW audio file that's probably immense on its own considering Harris has experience in professional audio. Then you have different versions, first then final, maybe one or two attempts inbetween. 200gb of free space is probably about right for what they'd need free for every video.
I just got a new lighting setup and camera via harris’ budget stream setup. So this video could not have come at a better time for me learn a little more about the editing process
Thanks for this. It was really nice 👍 I love watching how people make things and I learnt a few new tricks here. Can you talk a bit more about j cuts please?
