hey, your channel has targeted ads for a service that competes with stream beat called stream sounds. I think you can turn of channel targeted ads from RUclips channel settings.
@@kalmanyang2907 Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer are good replacements for Photoshop and Illustrator. They go on sale regular for 50% off. Combine those with DaVinci Resolve and you should be able to do most of what you could do with Creative Cloud.
I think Scott did a great job. He explained everything fairly clearly without taking too long to explain each part of the process. I also appreciate the fact that he was still able to explain the exact things to do for those using Final Cut, but also prefacing that the techniques used will work regardless of the program you use.
I'm obsessed with the editing section of this video, I've seen a lot of creators doing editing tips but they don't do it specifically for gaming so the tips for comedic effect and subtitling were things that I've never seen before and REALLY needed, please do more editing tips and tricks I beg you!!
9:36 “If you’re a content creator, practice making well rounded content.” Personally that piece of advice is golden. I am afraid of being mediocre due to not having guidance or a direction that felt proper to my content, for some reason those words resonated with me. I stopped streaming / creating because I have been looking for this truth, well rounded content to me means trimming the edges that are unnecessarily long, like tangent topics. I gotta keep the meaty part of the conversation without worrying about cutting what’s irrelevant. Thank you, I feel confident moving forward through the natural mediocrity that comes with being a new content creator who believes in his work.
All of this is super helpful, it's just finding the time in the day to do it all. Working a 40 hour job plus streaming and editing all of my own videos is pretty time consuming.
I've been following Scott on twitch since he was around 800 followers. To see him here is a great achievement for him and me, because he has blown up now and I have cashed in my OG here before blowup ticket. I wonder when he's streaming next? I haven't popped into his stream in a very long time
The flashback recording is such a useful tip. I’ve been downloading VODs but I wish I had been recording with 4K capture in the background, and using replay buffer on OBS. Now I will. I just haven’t decided wether to record Raw gameplay or my stream layout. Since I’m recording my camera as well.

Great work Scott! tips like this are great for a starter like me. Will try that for sure to get into editing my clips :) Hope to see more like this in the future guys!
Scott!! You _nailed_ it man :) Harris and Sam, good job picking him up, too! I've been watching the channel since it's early days, and Scott is gonna be a lethal addition to the team. On top of that, this was probably one of the most helpful videos y'all've uploaded. A lot of things we creators learn, we learn as we go, and kind of have to just figure out. This video touched on a lot of those little things, and it's all just tending to all the little things. Thanks for confirming some of the things I've learned, and am still learning, and giving yet another push in the right direction. Much love, be easy, keep at it y'all 🙏
How I know I've made it as a content creator is that I use all of these techniques already, thank you so much for all the helpful advice and for keeping me motivated!
I think the most helpful part was your jr editor explaining how he did the clips. I would love to hear him talk more about other tricks he uses that would be helpful for beginners.
I guess I gotta start creating some youtube videos once I start streaming again. Scott did great. he explained really well how to do things, it was great.
Always a pleasure watching your vids. The hardest part of creating content for RUclips, for me anyways, is taking additional time away from my wife and kids. I do my streams late, so that helps, but it takes alot more time to record and edit videos, along with learning editing tricks and such, than it does to stream for an hour or so twice a week.
This is a good point and actually something that I'm beginning to struggle with as well. Removing yourself from those moments with the family is hard. One thing I'm trying to do is take a step back, take a deep breath in, and push on at the times I can. You got this, dude!
Every time there's a new video on this channel I feel inspired to finally get that mic, cam, and start doing it. Like for the video, and for the JUNIOR editor :D Keep it up, man
I think the video as a whole was actually really useful! Scott did an amazing job and though I don't use Resolve personally, the tips still apply very much so! The idea of using Flashback Recordings as well is super useful and something I've wanted to learn how to do in general but didn't really know how to apply. Also planning streams around making content to be edited later is something I have also been trying to implement and get better at! I'll definitely be using all the tips in this video to the fullest!
Very solid edits and I even learned a different way to edit my text after editing for years. The only thing that I feel like would be a bummer to newer people to editing and that will be a stumble is that it was meant to be an edit for shorts, tiktoks, and reels. That is all portrait based content. Also, it didn't show adding in the full quality camera and creating compound clips for the super necessary zoom. That was a tip so I feel like that should have been there. Scott's speaking to camera was super solid and came across very knowledgeable so very good in that aspect. Hope this feedback helps Scott out.
As a budding video editor, I found Scott's portion of the video to be great. Both educational and entertaining! Does he have his own channel where he goes more in depth with his techniques?
great scott! im an editor and i still learned something, never thought of typing out the whole phrase and just using crop to reveal specific words, gone are the days of trying to time and position each word individually, howd i not think of this!?
Scott did great, only improvement I could think of is to elaborate on some things like when deciding the key frame positioning he just said "about here" with no reasoning why but I understand maybe the video length was trying to be kept down so that might be why there wasn't in depth details on stuff like that
New guy is AMAZING 😍 I’m such a nerd for this stuff this is incredible I know this is old but please more content just like this!!! I’d love to learn more about your Motion workflow!!!!
What problems are you running into while learning to make content. Maybe we can have Scotty boy do some more videos in the future.
The language barrier , stuff like tube buddy does not work for non English SEO optimization
I would like to know how to make nice graphics. I played with After Effects while o was in school but Adobe stuff is now too expensive

Scott did great, and summarized the process perfectly. He does say "gonna wanna" a lot though lol.

I love the way you all interact with each other. Especially Sam coming in like the voice of a God from the heavens
I was worried that Sam was gone. I loved hearing him speak from the heavens
The planning the content has been a big shift in my mindset as of late. Definitely looking forward to implementing that soon.

Thanks, i have always struggled with editing since my strokes, i have now saved this video so i can keep going back to it when i forget how to do it
Scott was awesome would love to see more of him
Maybe you should show and teach on how to edit a 16 : 9 video into a 9 : 16 video for YT shorts and tik tok
Change the resolution from 1920x1080 to 1080x1920. Hope this helps! (Forget to mention it, scaled it to zoom the most important parts)

Shooting for the edit is what it's called and by far the MOST important, at least in my opinion.
