If I started over on twitch, I would gear my livestream content to be used as youtube content. Meaning, I would come up with ideas for compelling youtube videos beforehand, prep whatever I need to do it live, then do it live. Which then that stream would be chopped up into the said video ideas. I'd then further edit them and create shorts.
Hey it’s my plan! lol I just did my first stream last night. Today after work ima chop it up and try atleast 1 RUclips video outta it and some shorts for RUclips and TikTok.
I started streaming about a year ago. Affiliated after 4 months, and just got over 200 followers. I still wait for videos like these so i can learn more on what i can do better
Thank you for always trying to help the smaller creator Harris, I’ve already put into action some of what you’ve said in this video which makes me now think I’m on the right path :) I use to stream 3x times a week and try to be live for 4 hours each time on twitch but truth be told that wasn’t good for me, it just wasn’t possible with my daily routine sadly but since I moved over to RUclips I’ve started streaming once a week for about 2 hours and have already noticed a positive difference + I have the time to create 3x long form videos each week on top of that. I’m going to see what 2x streams a week is like for me next on this platform and then start getting back into YT Shorts and recycle that content into TikToks :)
you make anime reaction content lol the easiest thing on the planet harris has done nothing but fail as a live streamer, why would you take his advice? All your youtube videos have outrageously low views lol you need to do something else with actual creative integrity besides watching anime.
This is very useful, I stop streaming after college and lately i've been trying to get back into it, but it harder now when my music career has taking a big spike!
As an indivdual that streams to literal no one and too lazy to try and make an effort to expand whatever it is I'm doing is honestly gonna stay that way cause of the way I am. But I'll take these tips with some salt, consideration and hopefully I'll attempt to apply them in the future. Much love & much respect to the streaming daddy!
I don't stream to anybody either no matter what tips I apply nothing works, but I do because it's fun. Somedays a little less fun than others because I feel crazy talking to myself but, the internet/streaming is like high school...a popularity contest so oh well.
Dude, I've been watching your content for years now, and I have to say - nothing has made me value you and your content more than hearing Tip #5 today. Thanks for being awesome. In a world of click bait and bad behavior attention grabs, hearing #5 expressed verbally, directly, and with visuals identifying the problematic behavior you're speaking against, it makes me glad I've be been a fan of yours for so long. Keep crushing it.
Thanks for using your platform and voice to spread positivity. This was heartfelt, additive, much needed, and highly appreciated. Good karma returns too!
Last tip is probably the best tip, something that i think since first minute on all social media, kind of a rule to follow: "Post only things that have some sort of value for the one watching, if there's no value at all or not enough value, then don't post it."
Thank you for always reminding me to "Like" I always get so invested in the millions of thoughts you inspire that I often forget. (: Been doing the notebook trick for so long, but never heard anyone suggest it before!
i effin love this Harris.. your the true goat for continuing to provide us with better tactics and formulas' to better increase our brand awareness and growth.. honestly this is coming from a small content creator aka an artist trying to grow on large scale your knowledge is what keeps me still grinding even when i have under 100 followers across all platforms. i did the exact thing you said not to do which is post on every platform(facebook, instagram, tik tok, rarely on twitter but yes i was posting on all of them and that didnt do anything but make me feel like im going backwards rather than forward. keep up with the amazing work you do. but side note can you make a vod on how to grow with each platform or at least your suggestions.. i believe this type of vod will do alot of ppl justice and really give them a foundation to start off of..

LOL I'm just gonna leave that one where it sits. Thank you for the advice, daddy. No, but really, I do appreciate when big names do stuff like this.
I’ve been streaming for 8 or so years, very close to quitting as get like 5 viewers or less average so hopefully once I’ve watched this video it’s some motivation!
@@NaudVanDalen I’ve always streamed because I enjoy interacting with viewers and playing the game, you’re not going to make a ton with low viewers like myself. The thing is I’m literally seeing no growth in like 8 years. I can’t remember exactly but I think I streamed for like 60 hours in last month or maybe it was July and made £30. Only saying that month as I remember checking. Some months I make a little more, some I make less. Love that last tip. My son grew up watching that era of “it’s just a joke man” humor where it’s funnier if it’s mean. :/ I really regret letting him watch those type of gamers and streamers.
Just started streaming about 2 weeks ago. Trying to make as many improvements now as i can, apart from what i was already doing(twitch studio, live on twitch, archive on YT). All I wanna say is thank you, you're one of the people I watch that gives me inspiration and spark to make my dreams into reality. I hope to create an amazing community one day that is nothing but positive, and this is the push I needed to start. Hope to be able to play with you one day, stay awesome!
There's a script available for OBS that allows you to mark a timestamp and it records it to a CSV file. When I'm streaming, I'm recording my entire long-form stream while simultaneously running the replay buffer for the Aitum vertical plugin. This way, I can setup a multifunctional action in stream deck to both record the replay buffer footage (3 minutes in vertical) and timestamp that spot in the long-form recording so I can decide if it's worth editing into long-form content as well.
Thank you for the advice as always. I tend to stream to twitch but am thinking of expanding over to youtube as well. My fiancee and I have a blast playing together, so I hope that I can make others smile with my content.
Sizzle looks to only be for shooters, which is unfortunate, since I have a variety to content I play or stream. Would have been great to have a way to upload a YT playthrough video and find highlights this way. Oh well.

So for sizzle my question is if you upload to them are you giving them the right to then use your clips in advertisements I’m just wondering if there’s any catch to it
How did people get discovered on twitch before they used tiktok, youtube etc.? Like I'm thinking of someone like Lirik as a variety streamer who wasn't a pro gamer, didn't excel in any particular game etc. But he still grew on twitch before using all the other media to funnel people to his stream?
@senpie im really gonna need you to comment on this. you've been pushing this vertical plug in for multi streaming for so long, but haven't provided one method for obtaining your stream key to do so. i have been scouring the internet since the day you announced this plug in, no one seems to know, yet people still stream on tik tok so id like to stop feeling i'm going crazy. please help
Here is my reasons why i dont get views for gaming on twitch: 1. I dont have Charisma for some people 2. I play retro older games 3. I play single player games 4. I dont stream consitantly due to working full time 5. I work weekends full time 10hrs + OT 6. I dont stream PVP games 7. I stopped using my webcam due to not having views = no views 8. I ban people that are being ashole to me = lose viewers and i look toxic 9. Im 39 years old and my jokes etc are out of date for younger folks ( mainly twitch now) 10. I dont speedrun at all 11. Im not a pro player so its hard to find me fast 12. When I play my favorite games i get backseated to the MAX where i cant even play peacefully. 13.I am mean to disrespectful people so im automatic toxic 14. People leave when they find out ive played thier favorite game years years ago. 15. I dont invite random viewers to my games/groups so they leave 16. I ban people when they get policital, toxic, controlling, type 15 lines, spam emotes - so i lose viewers 17. I dont talk much when I dont have views, so when people do join they leave becuase its boring to them 18. When i started streaming in 2013 it was differnt, in 2016 i got views due to a pvp game, i dont play that no more so no more views. probably more but If you think about it, everybody these days can be a streamer and everbody has the tools and resource to do so, so I am no longer unique with my simple designs and since i was working full time and busy with real life back where streamers were kinda rare, I missed the ship. its too late for me and I would have to do somthing crazy to get noticed. Now i just stream for bots and random 1 viewer or so lol...
Just be real. You need one or more of these things to be successful streaming: - Good looks / attractive - Skill and talent at playing games - People skills - Personality
