It took me a while to get to this device because.. it really just looked like another really cheap piece of hardware. Turned out to be amazing for the price. I'll probably use it in my next setup.
To let you know I have the mini the 3m tape is so you can put on the top and stick under your desk.
I think I have a much better and cheaper option for this. The free app "Midi Mixer" (midi-mixer.com) allows you to reuse buttons, faders etc. of midi controllers for nearly everything. You can for Example map a certain program to a fader to control its audio, or trigger an autohotkey script by a push of a button. It recently even got a plugin for obs.
The plugin is free, and you can use it with pretty much every midi controller, so you can choose for yourself how many buttons and fader you need.
Can you help me understand why I am getting copyright claims on Facebook Gaming using your music??? Its so frustrating. I love using StreamBeats in my streams but I am getting muted and being told that I am using copyrighted material.....PLEASE HELP!!! Its still good to use right???
@@FlatbedderVlogs Harris has said that Facebook blocks any type of music, copyright free or not, and so far he has struggled to get them to agree to his music being used. So technically, yeah, it's fine to use, but Facebook are being overly cautious about it.
@@lozzapen That makes perfect sense...Initially, they were not muting my VODs but here recently they have been. Its very annoying...
it is time for elgato to follow up with something like a Wave Deck. A full on audio interface with faders that lets you control their wave link software, but you can plug in a XLR mic of your choice and are not limited to the elgato mics.
That would probably be like 300 dollars
@@Rockastorm no necessarily. I basically mean a device like the GoXLR mini. just with the elgato software that only needs a few upgrades for the faders.
@@johnb0815 yea but it would be one of a kind and become an industry standard meaning they can charge (in theory) as much as they want
@@Rockastorm why one of a kind? you mean because elgato would have a "all in one" solution if you combine all their stuff?
if the "wavedeck" was too expensive people would just buy the GoXLR mini. it was fine on its own for quite a while, and it will be fine with a competitor. plus, competition pushes innovation.
@@johnb0815 that's true
That Mic/Aux demonetized joke took me a second but made me chuckle. 😆
I came back to this video to get a reminder of how the panel works and finally noticed that, too!!! 😂😂😂
Thank you, it's really powerful! Just placed the order).
There are alot of products like this. I personally use the Behringer Xtouch Mini. Its a midi controller but works very well. I use it with a program called Midi Mixer, the developer is very active in his discord and is a very nice guy. I am also not paid to post this but I do want to support the developer of midi mixer (thx for making cool software Attic Jack)
Exactly what I wanted, thanks for pointing me towards this software :)
@@AngryApple Yep I use the XTouch Mini also. Works perfectly with voice meter also.
@@AtomicOverdrive I think I will use my AKAI Mini Midi Keyboard, jt also has Knobs to control stuff
I’m wondering. While playing a game, can I independently control “in game chat volume” or “discord chat volume” with this device or the Behringer?
he just never recommends any audio engineering hardware
The software is pretty well thought out, I really like this product. Personally I already have an interface so just this controller is exactly what I needed.
I've had the PC Panel Mini for a couple of months now and I absolutely love it. I no longer have a monitor essentially dedicated to Voicemeeter Potato. There are a few more features I'm hoping they add but the software support is actively growing (they didn't support voicemeeter integration until a beta update in December), so I'm happy with it. Right now I have each knob tied to:
1) Desktop Audio; knob controls the volume, push swaps sending Desktop Audio from Speakers to Headphones and back again
2) Spotify, same thing
3) Discord, same thing
4) Mic monitoring; knob controls the volume, and instead of swaping from speakers to headphones, push just toggles it on or off in the headphones.
I think it was like $75 or $80 after shipping and it does absolutely everything I need it to do. And that 3M adhesive is super sturdy; I thought it wouldn't work with how much force it takes to push the knobs but this thing hasn't shifted at all.
Wow really nice addition to the GoXLR/other interfaces here. Always love myself some more knobs and sliders! (Nice top-down rig (and table), too! 😜)
This is EXACTLY the piece of kit I’ve been searching for but I’m Mac based. Gutted! Hopefully the Mac support will follow soon.
YES. This is exactly something I've been looking for to pair with my stream deck and voicemeter without blowing a few hundred just for slider/knob control. Great to see such intuitive software, wish more companies would take note. Excited to pick one up. Already have a dedicated interface so this is literally the missing link for me.
Thx Harris!
If you are pairing it with voicemeter you cna just use a midi control surface which is way cheaper
@@JadeNeoma I actually just got a Wave mic and am using Wave Link solely. Uninstalled Voicemeter. Also not using the controller anymore either since you can set fades on the sliders, paired to my stream deck. But thank you!
I have been convinced that this was by far my favorite YT channel when I was streaming and it worked wonders for me. I appreciate all that you guys have done for me.
Holy shit it doesn't cost an arm and a leg this is a product I might be able to actually get
Had a Pro model for a few months, absolutely love it! Great product really responsive and saves a lot of time with adjusting volumes on the fly
Or you could just get a Korg Nanokontrol 2 midi controller for $72 (or any other midi controller) + Midi Mixer software for free. You get eight faders, eight knobs and 35 buttons. Great support from the dev of Midi Mixer himself and the community at Discord.
Reason I say this is I didn't get a good customer experience with PCPanel. Horrible customer support and they take a week to respond to inquiry and to process a refund. No apologies from them either.
A big fan of the music and your channel, you’ve done us the small fish and wannabe creators a good deed!
Ever since I found you here at YT, you’ve been my go-to guide to everything, thanks man!
insane video, just started watching it and quality is super good. nice one!
This company did a good job! I'm considering one of these because my needs are just a couple of controls for capture, music and voice channel. Simple design, simple software. Hope it holds up to this day after a couple of years.
This actually did help me alot. I use a USB mic so for me I feel this is a more cost effective tool then the Go XLR which would mean having to buy an XLR mic as well
No no. it's a project that never gets STARTED, let alone finished
Thank you! This came out right on time!
This so great...I have an goxlr but for editing purposes I added the mic, game and system audio tracks from it seperate in OBS to get different audio tracks in editing. BUT now I can't adjust the tracks with the goxlr I have to do it in OBS....this fixes the problem.
Same issue I have with my music controlled through OBS due to Twitch Vod track setting. Can’t control music on my GoXLR set up that way. This would fix that for me.
@@Amodillo gonna get the mini for the same reason
After seeing this video and it controlling Voicemeeter and OBS audios, immediately bought it. It's been about a week and a half now and I'm happy to have it. Thanks for posting.
Thank you for showing the particular use-case for controlling Wave Link virtual cables; I was on the fence about getting this but now that you've confirmed you can do that - so I can adjust the volume of a game in my headphones without adjusting ingame settings, the app in the volume mixer or my headphones themselves - I absolutely have to snap this up.
As someone deep inside the elgato ecosystem.. and wanting the physicality of sliders and dials this appears amazing, and the fact that you can change scenes is a bonus, deffinately considering picking it up.
I got the pro about 3 months ago. I love it. It’s amazing to be able to have all the controls right at the desk top. The worst thing about it was the packaging.
Streaming equipment? Hell I've been looking for something like that for years to manage game and desktop volume separately
I think it's sad TC Helicon didn't do something similar. As someone who prefers a dedicated dac and amp for headphones, I was stuck with the GoXLR being a partially wasted product as you're forced to use their headphone out to utilize all the fancy volume control features. Now if only spotify and other's own volume control was linked to windows' mixer volume the way VLC or Foobar2000's is.
Really appreciate having a go-to source that I always know will be unbiased. I've been looking for a way to mix volume outputs to my stream, and I think I can figure it out from this video, by using some of the other tools you mention. I want my viewers to hear my music slightly louder than I myself hear it, but also for them to hear my Discord chat much lower than I myself hear it. And at this point it's obvious I need a mixer, I just didn't really know where to begin.
For someone with already a simple audio interface like the focusrite, this is a game changer. You add this to your setup and it's just so much cheaper than buying a whole new audio interface like the GoXLR mini. When bought together it's around the same price, but just to upgrade, it's amazing!
harris your content has helped me so much starting streaming in 2021. thank you. can't wait to see all the fun stuff in 2022.
I ordered one of these in November and got it as couple months ago. It is absolutely awesome. It did so much more than I expected. I paired it with a Shure MV7 and works amazing with it. It actually controls the mic interface.
When you make a studio audio panel made up of 100 of these. lol
ok
OMG This might be life changing for me as a USB Mic user!!!
I'm not ready to invest in a expensive XLR Mic + Mixer Panel so this might be a great alternative and I was searching for something like this forever!!!!
I'm so glad I got mine before y'all did this video. I knew you would. WORD OF WARNING TO BUYERS. This company is notorious for it being incredibly hard to get a response from them. So if you order one and they don't respond don't panic. They seem to just not like to answer but. Assuming it's a VERY small team. That being said the pro is incredibly well built and I reach for it countless times the during the day. Would recommend but it's going to take forever to ship. Like months. But if you can wait it is well worth it.
I've had my eye on this product for some time now and it just keeps getting better. I have a GoXLR and am strongly considering adding this to all the stuff on my desk.
I pre-ordered the original PC Panel model and received 2x of them in December. I absolutely LOVE them! No streaming here--I just like being able to quickly adjust all my volumes within arm's reach. Nowhere near as immersion-breaking when you want to crank the game audio up a bit for a scene as having to dive into the windows volume mixer..
Oooh PC Panel
I've had their older RGB unit for a while and loved it. I wish I had the money to splurge for this nice new pro version tbh. Even the new mini version looks a lot cleaner than the one I have. But I didn't think about trying to adjust volume of my Wave Link channels until now. That's actually really awesome and now I want the pro version even more
Very cool. I've struggled with controllers and eventually settled on a novation xl midi controller. Took 2 weeks to program. This would be a perfect replacement if it had at least one led button per fader. I use 7 inputs and use buttons to mute or route to b1 on/off
"I'm gonna choose Desktop Audio because if I say the other one I am gonna get demonetized"
😂
I didn't get that- what's wrong with saying mic?
@@Arshle saying mic/aux quickly sounds like "my cocks"
Seems like the perfect addition for someone who already has an interface and wants to add goxlr functionality without replacing the existing interface. Such as myself with a 2i2 already
Thanks for calling me out Harris. It was an unintentional clickbait and I have updated my video description and thumbnail to reflect that it is not an audio interface. Informative video as always!
i love how we're dad jokes from haris as time does on.... fitting considering but still great
I just discovered your channel while wracking my brain for a good voice changer setup over 2 PCs. Great content and very thorough! Thanks for the deep dives!
Looks so cool and affordable. Happy 4th of July Harris.
Dude I think it’s great that you put music out for streamers to use and I would like to thank you. I love the beats you made and I use them on my streams.
This is the only thing I need now to make my stream audio more dynamic. Thank you for this. =]
This definitely helps me so much! I am definitely buying two of these so I can create my own custom audio box that I can afford for my sports live streaming!
This looks very promising for a lot of people's needs for USB mics in particular. This is a great budget way to get what is needed out of some of the physical faders that GoXLR or physical mixer/interfaces provide.. As someone who has setup 100s of content creators setups, it may be a bit difficult for the average content creator, but as you mentioned the interface looks really easy.
This would be great to pair with the GoXLR in particular if you assign line in, console, and game but keep mic, system, music, chat on the faders
7:48 Just like that ... Smooth!
Best thing: It's integrated with VoiceMeter AND OBS. Getting one!
I just finished programming the buttons on my LoupeDeck. It works similarly with audio and also serves as a streamdeck, since the buttons can all be programmed to do OBS commands or custom layered actions constructed in NOOBS CMDR (Thanks, Nutty!).
I might actually buy the mini.
who cares
Big one seems like a way better deal tho
@@felixklimm7225 yup
Now cant get American Psycho comparisons out my head, nice one Patrick! :D
This looks solid. Thanks for the review. Also, nice new glasses. 👓
This is legendary... I think I need this even though I have a GoXLR cause I combine it with voicemeeter and I have speakers and headphones playing various channels simultaneously
I just bought one and a GoXLR Mini (been plotting on a GoXLR mini for like a year) I my Audio setup got a lot cleaner with the Mini and will had so much more control with the PC Panel I can't wait. I think this finishes my setup completely.
This looks absolutely insane! Wish we could get some in South Africa
I'm surprised his audio's so damn good in a room like that.
It is audio controlled and treated, or at least partly
combine that with shotgun thats relativly close
What would We do without you bro bro. Thank goodness your so damn good at explaining audio quality. Lol
I have been looking for a small midi controller for voicemetter for a long time. This is exactly what I needed.
Game changer! I've been looking for a physical fader set to control my Voicemeeter forever!
I have absolutely no need for this device but this was a damned good overview of some pretty nice hardware. Good stuff.
glad to see this video ive been using pcpanel in my setup for like 7 months
i love my pc panel, i have the other version. very happy w/ controlling app specific volume using this thing.
My PCpanel arrived today, awesome piece of gear. Now i can control the input faders for my DAW,
and Teamspeak for gaming without having to Alt Tab to the program, can even use one of the push buttons to open the program... 👍
Man the scene switching was awesome. Awesome controller in my opinion.
Finaly a neat tool that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Thank you so much for sharing this.
Man this thing is cool. Makes for a huge quality of life improvement from digital faders. Definitely gonna try to pick up one of the pro versions on the next round of preorders!
If you are okay with a bit of config, you can buy a cheap £20 midi control surface and hook it up to control voicemeeter, also there is a midi library for native obs control but its also a little flaky
Imma need names XD
I use voicemeeter potato
just cos its 2 years old dosnt mean its outdated... especially when there are not even 3 competitor alternatives out on the market for the same segment, with better capability's...
I was looking at these a few months ago! So glad you made a video on them
I do the photos and videos for PCPanel. It's crazy to see how many people it's reached.
BTW, you can control Voice Meter with any cheap MIDI controller. I use the Behringer XTouch Mini for example.
Great Job as always, Double H🙏🏽👍🏾
18 min and 1.6k views / 205 likes that is good content! Thx Harris and Happy 4th of July
I'm surprised it took this long for this product to exist, but I'm glad it does, and that it's done well.
its bean around while at least year if not longer
"If I say the other one it will get me demonitized". Subtly brilliant. Hahaha!!
@ mic/aux........sound it out a few times, it will come to you. "My ****".
I ordered the PC Panel Fader model a few months ago and use it with Voicemeeter Potato and really like it. Been super handy.
*Throws money to the screen* I'M IN.
Well there goes my money again
I don't know why any streamer would need more than the 4 button panel. With each button press, it could be yet another channel with the right software, most likely customized.
dude i swear i literally just saw you in a vine compilation i think im losing it
Hey brother I know you’re busy as hell but it’s great to see you keep doin your thing. Thank you.
It's a very cool piece of kit. I've had my eye on it for a long time. It's basically a controller with analogue inputs in the form of dials, faders and buttons, so there's very little it can't be made to do. My only problem is it doesn't work on Linux (or Mac for that matter), so I can't use it. Otherwise I'd be all over it.
YESSSSS I have been looking for something like this. I already have a professional audio interface with Dante and all to interconnect my two PCs (Pro Tools MTRX Studio)... Physical control of audio levels while streaming was the last missing piece for me and was going to use my Avid S1 to control my DADman app in some kind of kludgy way... Was also considering this thing Korg makes along with some really kludgy software.... but this directly controls the Windows mixer, or even the OBS SOURCES DIRECTLY FOR PETE'S SAKE. THIS is my missing link. Just bought one. Your video sold me on it, hope that isn't lost on the company making them.
Good lord, yes! I just bought two of these, full pro version. Thanks for this video!
the new stream beats playlist is EXACTLY what I wanted!!
This is high for streamers that are starting to make content and it’s cost effective for small streamers
Congrats on the new place!!!
Just pre ordered the 99$ version, part of Batch 4, Harris Heller, this will help out tremendously
Cool lil device, great video nice honest thoughts on the product. Enjoying the relation to other products a lot. heard darker intros.
Whenever alpha uploads, It's a party for streamers.
Nice video! Just a tip, when you're shooting on a top-down rig lock the manual focus so that it dosen't get your hands in focus.
Sounds like Harris have been watching Gerald Undone for some time ;)
you can probably also stick the tape to the top and mount it under your desk if the tape is strong enough
I’ve had the pro pc panel for 3/4 months now and i love it!
i'd love this but legit im not gonna wait till June 25th for this to show up to my door, pass!
I liked the subtle mic/aux joke
Just placed my order on Pre-Order batch 4, looking forward to playing with it!
w
This looks amazing for the price. If I didn't already invest in a GOXLR setup I would probably have gone with this
