You hit it big time with both 65 GTO's . I have looked for one since I was 20 yrs old, and have never found one that wasn't an arm and a leg. Glad to see you will restore them. My old man had one he built in 81 & 82, but like my 78 T/A it was stolen. That GTO is why I am a Poncho fan to this day and I'm 51 now. After kids and now 5 grandkids, I realize, I may never own one, but I can always dream. God bless, will be looking for the restoration process and watching 😊

You only hear of finds like these but looks like the former owner's family verified. 👍

I couldn't believe it when they commented after seeing the videos. What are the odds. I spoke to the fellow that sold them over 30 years ago, he filled in a lot of history on them for me.

Looks like the previous owner collected quite a few extra parts, thats great. Over the years I've sold some parts , Tri power intakes, Am/Fm radios, and all Orginal parts. Still have lots more
Good luck on your new projects
And up coming fall Harvest 👍🏻

Check the back window seal that area is notorious for rusting out and then the rot goes down to the trunk. Nice score though

I'm betting he gave less than 3 for the pare, in 91 I was 20 year's old an bought my 67 SS 396 4Speed Chevelle for 1.200 it had been sitting for 12 year's,I rebuilt the carb cleaned the tank changed the oil an drive it every day for 3 year's.

You no guys who have these cars stored for years piss me off what's the point of having them if your not going to enjoy them I drive them every day the way their were built for instead of letting them deterior ate to nothing to me that's just insane enjoy these works of art and lay some rubber half way down the street with a great big smile

There's a difference between storing cars properly and letting them rot outside. These were put away in a nice dry shed and the former owner collected parts for years hoping to one day put them together. Life happened, and he realized he wasn't going to build them so he sold them to me. If he wouldn't have had the foresight to buy them and put them away back then they might not be around anymore.

I am amazed that you could restrain yourself all those years to not start the restoration, but having said that, I understand the amount of time consumed by farming and the cost. I'm really looking forward to see the start of work after harvesting.
Oh, by the way, is a better selection of music possible. I mute it, but afraid I'll miss some of your wisdom.
I have owned a '74 Grand Am 4-speed with 15 options, 341 built, and a '74 Firebird Formula SD-455, 43 built. PMC Zone car, loaded with options.

I'd love to use some real music, but RUclips will mute it or block the videos for copyright infringement. I'm limited to what comes with the editing program I bought.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!?? BOTH of those cars were my Uncle’s, he sold them nickels to the dollar due to some terrible unforeseen family circumstances to the guy in Canada. He’s the one who was driving it when the hood flew up and hit the roof, was going 80 mph. The fan hitting the radiator never happened, he has pictures of these cars at the house, put the 750 on the window, he owned every tool and all the trim and the parts in the blue box etc. Those cars haven’t been touched since he sold them, this is totally unreal.
His words, “The heads on the pallet are SUPER SUPER RARE! The rear end in the yellow car should be a Chevrolet 10 bolt which is different from other GMS. No…wait…I may have pulled it and sold separate. Their is ZERO doubt those were mine! Oregon plates on the yellow car. Putty in the left rear quarter was obvious when I had it. Bent trail arms may have been replaced if I swapped out the posi 4:11 rear.“
You may have found his name on a receipt or something in that car, Mark Van Osdol, current number is (503) 572-0534. He and I are currently working on a 70 Pontiac we bought from Canada.

That's incredible. I definitely want to talk to him and get a little more history and would love to get copies of his pictures. The cars were packed away as soon as they got up here until I bought them. I'm going to build both and plan to keep the pair together. Busy collecting parts now and finishing up a couple other projects before I get into the GTO's.
