Anyway, as promised, here are the sensitivity settings I have now decided on myself as well as some other tips & controller remappings. These are of course just my personal preference!
Look sensitivity: 4.65
Aim Sensitivity: 0.25
Scope Sensitivity: 0.30
Acceleration Speed: 0.00 (Makes movement linear and much faster)
Deadzone: 0.03
I have also unbinded the option to switch to grenades and have rebinded it to "Quick grenade" which allows you to throw it instantly with 1 button press. I MUCH prefer this and highly recommend it.
I'm using a Dualsense Edge with R3 using the domed thumbstick and L3 using a concave stick. LB is mapped to the left d-pad button for grenade, and RB to circle for crouching & diving.

Toggle sprint has helped me, and I think I’ll map prone to the space bar, for those pucker moments.
Bonus Tip for PC: Turn Mouse smoothening off. The cursor movement feels a lot more natural.

Mine is the SES Custodian of Conviviality.
Basically means "the janitor of friendship". Call it the COC.
Wanted to call it the custodian of calamitous knowledge, but you get the idea.
A custodian is someone who cares or looks after something. Your ships name is more wholesome than funny lol

Hood settings sounds like something you change on your gun before entering certain neighborhoods. Cheers from across the pond.
Remember to bind quick throw grenade on PS5, it is unbound by default. I remapped it to D-pad right, that was for switch to grenade. Only bind it once, it will notify you that select grenade will unmap. But if you do it again it will also unmap other D-pad right options.
Also Gyro is awesome, and I prefer it on aim down sight only, not always.

Definitely also recommend the Camera Shake being lowered to minimum. It's more immersive sure but it can be crazy at times with the all the explosions so may help your aim!

@@ohSlapper that's just part of the fin for me. If I'm dropping high explosives I'm expecting shaking. If I'm under heavy suppression I also expect it. Just adds more sense of severity which is a huge factor to making the game immersive

A major tip for once you reach level 10
Autocannon can destroy bug nests
I was curious and shot one ... been doing it on far nests now
Also certain air strikes can destroy nests
A good thrown airstrike can destroy a whole 4 nest
And thats the last thing ... practice your throwing arm
Its good to know your throwing distance
(Mainly because some teammates may run into air strike so if theirs distance they can see it better)
My last tip is if you want to do everything on the map before leaving try have it so you dont have to backtrack loads
Been playing with a friend and we try to go round in a cicle or half circle finding bunkers and thinngs to collect
Nests will always appear red
Oh and their is a little bug i think when it comes to destroying a outpost
It seems to be invincible sometimes
you can call in a hellbomb to destroy outposts. It's a special strategem you get whenever you walk into one of those areas. I've never had it bug on me so if that's what you're talking about make sure you check that.

Think we called it in once and a few other times nothing has appeared
The grenade launcher also does break nests and it’s like level 3 and doesn’t require a backpack spot

The auto cannon can also destroy bot fabricators as well. Just aim for the angled surface above the opening about halfway up. Just don't be more than 45 degrees off angle or the shot will ricochet off and do nothing.

Excellent ship name, gave me shivers just saying it.
For console I’d honestly remap bindings.
1 allow your tac map open button to also mark a location. making is simple to exit your map while also using the tac pad on the controller (refer #’s 5 & 7)
2 remap to stratagem controls to the right side of your controller as it makes it easier and you don’t have to claw to make movements
3 set open stratagem menu to the double tap right side bumper, make first person sight a single tap for the right bumper as well.
4 map camera switch left/right to the sprint button bc it’s a long press you can still sprint if you just tap it
5 remap dove and crouch to the right stick, dove is double tap crouch is just a press. I did opt out of having a melee by doing this and it’s also required if you go through with #2
6 set ping to left bumber
7 Set interact to double tap because if stratagems are on the right side you will have problems using terminals.
I like your binds but I'm unable to turn valves with them. Any suggestions?

That seems very unnecessary. The controls are plenty simple and easy on default. The most you might need to adapt is switching your right thumb to the left stick while dialing in stratagems if you want to keep running simultaneously.

I just got started today on PC and I wanted to see what your setting recommendations were in case I needed some adjustments and while I have yet to test them in the field, I'm fairly positive they will make a difference already, given my experiences with other fast-paced games.
As for my ship name: Adjudicator of Judgement.
My ship is called “The Song of Honor” - its a reference to the Stormlight Archive series by Brandon Sanderson and I love seeing it every time I log in :)

many of these settings are what makes the game look so cinematic. yes, as raw gameplay people want frames over looks, but some of the settings makes it look like a movie
i play on 720p with everything low bring cinematic doesn’t matter anymore😭🙏🏽🙏🏽

You have three guesses for why, but you should only need one :P
I also went into the button remapping and changed the activation of strategems to Long Press L1 instead of Hold L1, turning it into a toggle. It feels much less awkward now not having to keep L1 pressed while I'm pressing the directional buttons with the same hand.
My issue with this is that you need to keep moving with left stick while calling down supplies and allies while chased by critters so getting into the habit of using right hand for strat's inputs makes sense?
Or use a mouse and keyboard so you can shoot accurately while moving.

I use the Dual sense edge as well, have my left trigger set for D-Pad “UP” for easy stims, right trigger is set as L1 for easier (to me) stratagem deployment

This is literally why I love Helldivers so much. It's basically an ODST game. Only you're fighting other enemies instead of the Cov.

I change my ship name all the time. I believe it is currently "Sovereign of Wrath".
I know ship names don't mean all that much but I would like if they change it to a 3-4 parts system, so you could have "the" in front, "of" could be in the middle, each part have a blank/no word option and so you could leave parts blank at your leisure, and just have a one word name.

For stratagem controller bindings, I've made it to be PRESS L1 instead of HOLD. It helps me to keep running while calling in a strat. Little awkward feeling though

for anyone still crashing at random on pc, especially whenever they hit the E key or pick up a weapon
turn off the setting that auto swaps your weapon when you pick up a new one, it fixed the crashes for me

I wish I could get a different looking ship. Seeing all the ships outside of yours when you’re in orbit is very cool but when you notice they’re exactly the same ship, it kinda removes some of the cool factor
I get what you mean for sure! I see it as the fact that all the ships, gear etc is all just made as efficiently as possible on Super Earth, and the ships are sort of the signature Helldiver look. Sort of how most Star destroyers look the same or are very similar in design in star wars. They become a symbol :)
@@Octorious I agree but even star destroyers and variations like it would be nice if bare minimum u could have like 3 different ships to choose from to have some variation

@@scavenger1379 Except the variations of star destroyer serve different functions in the fleet. Our ships are modular and built out to all serve the same function, as a mobile base of operations; a mobile fortress made for planetary assault.
I do like the idea that Super Earth is just mass manufacturing for all of us the same exact thing. Fits with the theme.

We made it out the hud options with this one.
As a long term Destiny 1/2 player I couldn't resist going with "Guardian of Destiny"
For PC Players who keep crashing, I recommend turning off Global Illumination and Anti-Aliasing. This has kept my game incredibly stable.
Also, my destroyer is the Hammer of Morning.

The Remember aim Function is also necessary for the Anti-Material Rifle which is super strong for bots, since it doesn't get a hip fire or even aim reticle, you HAVE to scope in to actually aim.
My ship is called the Courier of Freedom. I feel like that fits the Helldiver job description to a tea. Delivering freedom wherever in the galaxy we go.

I ride with the “Song of Judgement”. Much like the whistling sound you hear when an Eagle drops a 500kg bomb on your target, there is a certain notion of what is to come when we arrive in system.
Can you hear them singing? “..It is beautiful…”
Question ,if your eliminated and you drop your supplies and samples can your teammates pick them up and if so ,is this why they keep killing me right before extraction I have been shot, and blown up at least 7 times today , right before extraction?
I just started playing ,and is this why not one of my teammates were picking up samples, to wait until the extraction take out player and take theirs ?
I’m using all high settings, and run like 80-100 fps but I like the graphics. Makes fighting more fun

I have some weird bug that of I change too many settings my samples don't appear on screen for anything. Threw me off when at first, but looking at the settings in detail, I saw the settings for samples and that it was dynamic (default) so I changed it to visible thinking that would work, but it didn't, so in a super easy bug mission I just messed around for a bit, couldn't figure it out and set it back to default, which finally fixed it and started changing the settings 1 by 1 to see which it was, but still couldn't figure it out.
Anyone got any clues on this one?

Definitely push it up to 90. Your peripheral vision will be improved greatly.
