I get why because it's technically also an attack that happens to parry, but imo it would be better if it automatically did it when blocking at the correct window so L1 is used for both by default. It was kind of the same in wo long as well, o was deflect/parry in wo long. Although for some reason using triangle feels much worse to use lol. Wo long was more forgiving I guess with the deflect/parry, the window was very large. Rise of ronin it's a much smaller window to parry.

What about the setting to automatically disassemble and/or sell items? There is a rarity threshold that you can set. I put this on so as to avoid fiddling with menus rather than actually playing but I’m never sure if I am losing weapons that I might need. I’m fairly new to the game though.
One thing I am struggling with is changing the buttons so it’s more similar to a souls layout. When I change the attack and counter attack to r1 and r2 i have to change a bunch of other stuff too
I have this weird rippled veil look goin on. Turned off all the visual stuff but it’s still there. Anyone else having this or do I need to update? Haven’t updated but it’s very noticeable especially when looking at the night sky. It’s just Smokey blurry white but rippled. Definitely not my tv was playing dragons dogma 2 with no visual issues earlier. It’s always there just more noticeable during certain scenarios.

Somehow locking the ps5 manually to 1440p helps significantly with the game's looks and maybe performance might be placebo with fps but visually does help a lot!! Playing on graphics mode with frame rate lock off. The game is great. Might not be top triple aaa but decent
That's in reference to settings 10 & 11 mainly, but a couple of the others also contribute to the overall visual bump, such as number 8. 😊 Sorry if you perhaps missed them when watching though! Putting all the settings on the thumb clutters it up too much to read so most are condensed into broader headings on the thumbnail. Hope that explains and hope the video helped! :)
I went with Unsharpened, so as the game goes on, i can get sharper. Also, while playing on the hardest difficulty. I blame Elden Ring for the need to play games on Hard

That definitely sucks and sounds quite awkward if that's the case, I didn't notice it to be an issue when I was playing though, so will have to try again when I am back and update you incase we are missing something :)
Aha whilst the visuals aren't the best this gen, there are still some nice looking bits of scenery here and there, but the gameplay is the real highlight! Happy to have helped 😂😊💙

Hold Circle to sprint is like the Souls games. It's that 'hit triangle to parry' that seems really weird to me. I'm used to L1 to parry.

Nioh 2 had circle for sprint so if ur a nioh veteran I wouldn’t change the layout out.

For some reason my character's swords won't show up on his waist or back. What's up with that people 😅
I had the sprint set to l3 at the beginning but 10 hour in I put it back to the normal button because it gives you a cool slide animation.

I found out if you have the r1 button on (ps5) you can’t use the camera angle it has to be off which is terrible if I’m honest 👍🏻

Surely theres an option to turn off the in game tutorials. They stay on the screen for about 30 seconds and gets in the way.
