I PLAYED GUITAR WITH GREEN DAY AT DODGER STADIUM!

- I got pulled up onstage to play "Knowledge" (an Operation Ivy cover) with Green Day at Dodger Stadium (09-03-2021 - Hella Mega Tour). I wouldn’t even be playing music if it wasn’t for Green Day - they were my musical gateway and are one of my favorite bands of all time. This was definitely a dream come true moment.
I was sent a ton of clips from friends who attended the show as well as other Green Day fans who found me on Instagram, so I decided to comp together my own video of the performance (sorry if the quality is a bit shaky - iPhone(s), crowd, bright lights) but glad the moment was captured nevertheless. Anyway - enjoy!
Fun fact #1: I met Mike Dirnt at Dodger Stadium in 2006 at a Rolling Stones show. 15 years later, here we are again - same place, this time onstage! Full circle.
Fun fact #2: The guitar I learned on growing up was an Epiphone Les Paul Junior - I upgraded to a Gibson Les Paul Junior not long after… the guitar I played onstage here and was generously gifted was pretty much the same model I learned on, short the color and pickup. Full circle.
Fun fact #3: a month prior to this, I was telling all of my friends my goal was to get pulled up onstage to play with Green Day at this show. I’m this case, I think I manifested my destiny! Stoked!
