I think bands, artists, actors, everyone should stop letting any of these people have any say because a lot of them are just doing it to hurt her not that they're actually angry at anything. They can do what they want and nobody should have the ability to tell people what to do all the time or to take advantage of vulnerable and delicate times and they act like they weren't doing this to chester for years while pretending to be his fans. It's now too dangerous to even be on other social media sites and if their studios insist they should use it for promotion i think instagram and youtube are their best choices, because they can properly disable comments and not have to bother themselves with so many crazy people putting their issues on them. They could just post videos from their tours, album promotions, and tour dates and that's it no comments and just focus on being creative and creating, that is what we all need to get back to doing nobody owns anyone anything we all need to start speaking up about the impact social media is having. Linkin Park existed 7 years before social media sites started to become a thing and so did so many other bands, and they have lost sight of that which i understand how easy it is to do, but they need to remind themselves of that again but we really need to wind back the clock a little of how much they let people interact with them.
I am 42 years old and have been a LP fan since Hybrid Theory was released in 2000. I have such a strong connection to LP songs as I have had my own childhood trauma to battle. Chester’s loss was huge for me and nobody can replace him. In my opinion, he was the best vocalist of his generation and seemed like a genuinely good person who had horrible demons. He will always be missed and loved. But he is gone and has to be let go. The remaining members have the right to do as they see fit. I hope Emily stays with LP and they continue to make new music in the future. Always a fan.
I'm 33 and same. I agree. LP was there during the toughest times growing up. The songs always seemed to fit during my elementary, middle school and HS years. Hybrid theory being the most impacted for me.

I love the Linkin Park I grew up with. I love the songs that helped me get through awful and dark times in my life. I’m left feeling like the memory of everything the group once stood for is being completely tarnished, not just by new members, but by Mike, who has lost all respect from me in these past few days. Now when I listen to their music, I think of this awful new chapter, and I just want to turn it off. I question whether I’m even a fan anymore, after so many years of relating to everything this group put out. It’s tragic.

I guess there's so much we don't know what happened behind the scenes, or timelines. You could argue maybe he distanced himself because of Emily's ties to things. Linkin Park wanted a different sound because hiring a sound-alike would actually have tarnished Chester's memory. Like many of us who followed our parents to religion growing up, Emily followed her parents to Scientology, but is no longer a practitioner even though she hasn't left the Church. Emily has also rescinded her support for Danny upon his conviction.

I think bands, artists, actors, everyone should stop letting any of these people have any say because a lot of them are just doing it to hurt her not that they're actually angry at anything. They can do what they want and nobody should have the ability to tell people what to do all the time or to take advantage of vulnerable and delicate times and they act like they weren't doing this to chester for years while pretending to be his fans. These people are crazy because they attach themselves to somebody and then destroy i know exactly how it feels having first hand experience with a group of these people and they have stalker tendencies.
Social media has fueled this by exuberating peoples mental health issues and allow people who're too messed up who're dangerous to everyone to do this without nobody stopping them. It's now too dangerous to even be on other social media sites and if their studios insist they should use it for promotion i think instagram and youtube are their best choices, because they can properly disable comments and not have to bother themselves with so many crazy people putting their issues on them.
They could just post videos from their tours, album promotions, and tour dates and that's it no comments and just focus on being creative and creating, that is what we all need to get back to doing nobody owns anyone anything we all need to start speaking up about the impact social media is having. Linkin Park existed 7 years before social media sites started to become a thing and so did so many other bands, and they have lost sight of that which i understand how easy it is to do, but they need to remind themselves of that again but we really need to wind back the clock a little of how much they let people interact with them.

I am 42 years old and have been a LP fan since Hybrid Theory was released in 2000. I have such a strong connection to LP songs as I have had my own childhood trauma to battle. Chester’s loss was huge for me and nobody can replace him. In my opinion, he was the best vocalist of his generation and seemed like a genuinely good person who had horrible demons. He will always be missed and loved. But he is gone and has to be let go. The remaining members have the right to do as they see fit. I hope Emily stays with LP and they continue to make new music in the future. Always a fan.

Chester was there when the name was made and made HUGE contributions to the group. Not to discredit the amazing talents of the rest of the group, but even a linkin park2 would have been fine. And call the “linkin park” songs specifically linkin park.

I love the Linkin Park I grew up with. I love the songs that helped me get through awful and dark times in my life. I’m left feeling like the memory of everything the group once stood for is being completely tarnished, not just by new members, but by Mike, who has lost all respect from me in these past few days. Now when I listen to their music, I think of this awful new chapter, and I just want to turn it off. I question whether I’m even a fan anymore, after so many years of relating to everything this group put out. It’s tragic.
And to see all of the scientology supporting burner accounts defending it, paired with her refusal to openly disclose if she is a member or not shpuld be enough of a slap in the face for us real fans who not only loved their old, but newer music aswell just to have SCIENTOLOGY be taking it over.

They should have just disbanded Linkin Park and started a fresh new band instead and continued to keep LP alive by performing LP songs from time to time but using Chester's studio recorded vocals, not her. It isn't because Chester was replaced, it is because who they replaced him with. Issue is she defended a serial rapist and intimidated one of his victims while she is replacing Chester who is a SA victim himself. Chester wouldn't have approved. They could have replaced him with someone who could at least relate to him and at the bare minimum not defend rapists ? If they can't do that, then out of respect for him, they should have started a fresh band instead of replacing an SA victim with a serial rapist supporter. Linkin Park wanted a different sound because hiring a sound-alike would actually have tarnished Chester's memory. Like many of us who followed our parents to religion growing up, Emily followed her parents to Scientology, but is no longer a practitioner even though she hasn't left the Church. Emily has also rescinded her support for Danny upon his conviction.

I was a HUGE Depeche Mode fan, just like Mike and Chester, but Alan Wilder left the band and the musical direction changed into one i didn't care for, so i simply stopped buying the new music. Problem solved, no drama, no silly demands, no toxicity.
