Finally, an OB-6 demo that showcases the real power of this synth and not just bright sawtooth pads and 80's sounds! If I wind up getting the synth I will definitely purchase your soundset.

Nice job!! Absolutely love my OB6 and P6. Like the OB6 more, but happy/fortunate to own both. The OB6 can make my mouth drop and I can never get enough of the sound. The P6 has less wow factor, but is smooth and the mid's make it shine. I wanted to complete the trio with a Trigon, but it hasn't fully wow'd me enough yet to jump. Love the look/layout and 3 full OSC's options. Only a matter of time before I will have to scratch the itch. I have a synth addiction that is only stopped by my bank account and space in the studio.
This synth is a force of nature.

been going back and forth between the ob6 and the p6 and this beast just keeps pulling me back.
I'd prefer the OB-6 as to me it sounds more unique. If you can't decide maybe you'd like to check out a Take 5 or a Rev2 for the prophet character (which is certainly there) and later get also the OB-6?
@@limbicbits rev2 are DCO's and sound no where near as good, that doesn't mean they sound bad, but not as good.. its not even a consideration. the whole point is an fully analogue polly with immediate point and shoot synthesis. i already have access, nord, and korg, synths for bread and butter and plug ins to fill even more gaps. i want a synth that i do not have to look at a screen and menu dive, and one that is just magic. its down to the ob6 or the p6. ob6 just has an epic wow factor, but i do also really like the tighter envelopes on the p6 that make a particular bass and apr sound. the distorted leads, while a bit more tame than the ob6 have super sweet spots, its just cream and sugar. the ob6 on the other hand is just a fucking monster, it just sounds huge. its the p6 gnarly evil twin.

I always thought I want the P6. But over time I noticed I prefer OBs beautiful filter design. Your nice demo makes me wanna buy the OB even more now
I definitely prefer the OB sound over the Prophet. Way more organic imo. But after all, it's just a matter of taste

I bought an OB6 from os this week, haven’t seen much patches I like but the synth sounds good was hoping to wing it but these patches are definitely a start b back 😊 🎹

I could say - Go for it, you won't regret it. It surely sounds fantastic and for me it's one of the best polysynths that hit the market in the last 20 years. But if you're happy with your current setup, there's no reason either.

Wow sounds like they changed the components during the lockdowns/supply chain issues just like the Prophet 6. I have a recent build desktop P6 here and next to the original from 2017, it sounds totally different. Same with your OB6 vs my original. Similar changes to weight and transient definition. Might have to get a new one!

The patch is included in the ergosphere sound pack (link in description). I don’t know the exact name now but the patch numbers are the same as shown in the video

I noticed you didn't go for as many dub inspired presets for this one. Is it just not the synths vibe or is it capable of some nice dubby style stabs?
I really like the OB-6 but it would certainly not be my go-to-synth for dub stabs. It is possible but you have to add an armada of effects.
