Incredible patches beautiful super space sounds Oberheims are indeed my number one on my list ever since I heard the dream weaver album from 1975 I was hooked on those amazing patch sounds from the Oberheim synth and this one brings all the futuristic Sci Fi sound effects and many more fantastic work thanks
Recently bought this marvelous synth and got those patches right away : they are absolutely amazing ! This is excellent work ! For those of you who are still hesitating don't wait and get them - price is damn worth it !
Just ordered these yesterday. Replies were VERY quick and helpful while I sorted out my Paypal account, and I had the sounds mailed to me and in my OB-6 in no time. Really outstanding work; not only are the sounds great, but the accompanying documentation is clear and helpful. Highly recommended!
There are some killer sounds in this set for sure. I'll be getting them! Lots of smooth/warm anastrings in there that I haven't heard from other sound designers.
I definitely need 2 buy this 4 my new project I also remember that the sound has the intro 2 my favorite iconic song "Let's Go Crazy " by my amazing idol Prince & the Revolution. Glad that the 80's sound is coming back. Thanx 4 this. 💜
Can an OB6 make the techno basslines an moog subsequent 37 can do? Own a Moog but ob6 seems too clean and lush to be honest. But I do love the beautiful sounds it creates.
Just installed this and it sounds great, and thanks for the tip about using Laser Mammoth for a choice of Banks to install it in. Much easier to use than Midi-ox. It says the OB-6 version is in Beta but it worked just fine for me.
Shawn Saul the OB-6 is way more in your face! It has a huge amount of grunt and really nice fizzy types of sounds. I own the OB-6, but I also want to pick up the Prophet 6 for those really classic smooth sounds.
Matte Kudasai That is a perfect assessment between the differences in their respective sonic characters. I wish there were more demos and tracks of both being used and blended together to see the possibilities for how the blend or overlap.
Most definitely! I have both, and they inspire me in different ways. They blend together nicely if you want that, but they sit in their own space in the mix without much in the way of eq adjustments. For example, I find that I like these combinations: snappy OB6 arpeggio over silky smooth P6 pads, or melancholy OB6 pad with creamy P6 lead. Both can create punchy bass sounds, but they have different tones..
Do you want these patches (sounds) for your OB-6? You can buy these patches. Read the video description for details.
Many well knowend Tangerine Dream sounds. Great!
That's what I thought too :)
It´s always a pleasure to hear this old and new gear marvelous sounds!

3:02 holy smokes
The OB6 sounds really great
Just listening through and already these sounds have that wonderful vintage feel to them. Bravo!
thank you!
killed me with the first sound playing Tangram already

The best classic analog sounds I've heard for the OB6 so far!! I think I order these for my module...

@@youvsyou945 thanks!
thanks!
one of the best analog synth of all time

Wow..... best OB-6 demo so far. Maybe I should get this one and sell the X and Xa.
What a sound... my favorite analog synth. And nice patches!
thanks!
looking foreward to your "classic" sequential pro 3 patches.
it's a nice synth, I would think about it :-)

In other words: everything is great :-)
@@AnalogAudio1 Yes Of course 😁
The 2nd patch after the intro just sold it for me
One day we will get your a prophet rev 4 banks :) . This synth is on my list still . We’ll see .
You bet! :-) fantastic re-release
can anyone explain why this synth is so beautiful sounding?
because it is :-)
@@AnalogAudio1 no need to get technical 😆
Why is a sunrise so beautiful? hehe
Because it's what happens when a Prophet 5 and an OB-Xa have a baby.
It's filter is unique
First preset from Tangram/Pegramon sounds good.
Excellent soundset! How do you load into the OB-6?
MIDI-OX I suppose
@@HomeworldChanal Thanks. I'm on Mac and used Sysex Librarian and it was very straightforward.
thanks! I use MIDI-OX, I can recommend that to Windows users
What preamps did you record this into?Sounds great
Thanks... it's nothing special, just an old RME HDSP 9632 audio interface. I don't think it's the interface, it's the synth and my sound design...
Would love to hear you play an OBXa
yeah, would be nice :-)
Can an OB6 make the techno basslines an moog subsequent 37 can do? Own a Moog but ob6 seems too clean and lush to be honest. But I do love the beautiful sounds it creates.
the Moog sounds clearly different, since it has a different filter (24dB) whereas the OB has 12 dB filters.
Ob6 and moog or se
5 Minutes sounds like Journeyman Project OST

have fun :-)
Is Laser Mammoth for Windows, or Mac OS ?
This vs rev2 vs prophet 6? Thanks
the basic sound is very different. The REV2 offers a lot for the money, has the Prophet-type sounds, the OB6 is more fat and creamy, both sound great
U did it once again! Great set of patches! Now how did u like the OB6?
I like it, it has a special sound
hi will these work for the ob6 desktop version?
Yes
Of course
Does anyone think getting the OB-6 is worth it if one already owns the Prophet 6? Are they different enough or overlap in Sonic character?
Shawn Saul the OB-6 is way more in your face! It has a huge amount of grunt and really nice fizzy types of sounds. I own the OB-6, but I also want to pick up the Prophet 6 for those really classic smooth sounds.

OB6 and Prophet 6 sound clearly different, it makes sense having both.
Save some, then sell your prophet 6 and get a prophet x

Yeah, this thing sounds aside from its "PADs" competitors.
