No charge pass-through means its a total waste of time and money
I agree it's a pity they didn't do that, but at the same time, not everyone plays 2+ hour sessions and needs a battery, and also many people play PCVR, where you can just plug it into your computer. So I'd say it just depends on your preferences. Also, if you don't mind a bit of latency, you can also connect these via Bluetooth instead of the dongle.
@VRManCave what if you forgot to charge it and it only 50 percent batter. Can't do a battery to it and use the dongle.
Agree... Any dongle without a passthrough to charge is not going to do.....quest 3 will suck that headset battery like nothing...
It’s very odd if they are made for quest by meta…
How about headphones for meta quest 3 what’s the best one ?
How do these compare to the VRP10s from Soundcore?
The sound on these is fuller, more punchy, and the battery life is also better than on my P10s. That being said the P10s are still a great pair of earbuds for their price.
How can I use my galaxy buds? Can I just by the P10 dongle and use it with that? I just heard the P10 sound is too low...
The P10 sounds fine both in terms of quality and volume. You can’t use other earbuds with that dongle though. You can just connect your galaxy buds via bluetooth, but you will have added latency.
@@VRManCave I gotcha. I just play casually with virtual desktop and the 6e router. Just don't want it to mess with that.
All the Amazon reviews were "Vine Customer Review of Free Product" So I'd be weary buying these until you research them more.
They've not been available on Amazon for too long as far as I know, but yeah, definitely do your research. They're basically the same product as the Hammerhead for PS, Xbox and Nintendo, just rebranded for Meta.
Is there any difference to sony and xbox brand buds?
I don't own the other ones, but to me it seems that from a hardware perspective they are the exact same ones, and these work perfectly on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, as well as Quest and Pico, so my guess is that it's strictly branding, and maaaybe some small optimizations for each platform, though I can't personally test or confirm that.
@@VRManCave yea, those all seem identical. Meta brand buds arent available here in europe so I think I could just go with other ones.
$149 comeeeee on that's crazy for a shitty mic and no charge pass through noooooo way
Well the Mic on the Quest 2 is great, and the Quest 3 one has been fixed in a recent update, so realistically you're not gonna use this Mic anyway. I agree they're not cheap, but at the same time they are multi-platform, which is not a bad deal if you want a pair that works with all your devices.
Deal breaker since they don’t have type C. My headset with the bobo battery pack would be useless
Yup I gave them the same feedback. Apparently the majority of VR gamers don't use a battery headstrap, but even so it sucks for the ones of us who do, and it's too bad cause the product itself is great.
Pointless! Pass through or everyone will just pass 😢
Yeah I'm sad about it too, but statistically actually more people use VR without a battery strap, so for the majority it's not a problem.
