Thank you so much for the wonderful review on Hainan Treasures! We’re thrilled that so many of you have enjoyed our offerings. Our Hainanese Spring Roll has been the heart of our menu for years-made from scratch daily, from the freshly prepared spring roll skin to the carefully crafted fillings, which include minced chicken, prawn, cabbage, Australian carrot, and turnip, among other ingredients. Hainan Treasures started in 2002 at Long Bench Cafe (now known as Ferringhi Station). After a brief move to Nagore Square in 2023, we’ve now settled down at Batu Ferringhi, Jalan Sungai Emas. We are proudly Hainanese and take great care in staying true to what we believe authentic Hainanese food is all about, serving it faithfully to our customers. Regarding our spring roll sauce, we do include mustard as one of its 11+ ingredients, all blended into our unique, secret recipe. Our sauce has its own character, and while we appreciate that everyone’s taste is unique, we’ve crafted this recipe based on years of customer feedback and loyalty. Adjusting it to each preference-whether sweeter, spicier, or less salty-wouldn’t allow us to honor the traditional, time-tested flavor profile that our customers love. Thank you for your understanding, and for choosing Hainan Treasures! Follow us on Facebook or Instagram (@HainanTreasures) for the latest updates. We’re open daily from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm (or until sellout), and we look forward to serving you fresh, authentic Hainanese food again soon! Warm regards, Team Hainan Treasures
Hi Joe, thanks for your kind words. We have been back a few times to eat your wonderful food. My friends and family loved it! And also the great service and smiles from Uncle and Auntie always make me feel so welcome! Keep it up and wishing you the best!
@pishedbloke that is correct. I've heard many good things about this stall especially their choon phneah but never had the chance to check it out, as it was a challenge to find a car park back then but with this new place , there are ample car park.
Ohhhh I should try it one day. I usually drink tea or kopi, and nowadays I try to drink it hot. There is a Hainan kopitiam I will be visiting soon, maybe I will order that there. Thanks for the suggestion!
@@lennietan5989 I wonder if you remember Kuan Loke, Wing Lok and Loke Thye Kee. They serve the same authentic stuff back in the day. Hai On is the last one standing.
What a coincidence. I was there recently and was about to recommend you. One of the lowest priced Chicken Chop (Astaka also RM12) but not quite Hainan. Dijon mustard is missing from the Worchester sauce dip. For the authentic version have you tried Hai On, Burmah Road? Only place left in Penang which serves the original. Yut Sun in Taiping also offers this almost extinct Hainan specialty. I learned how to make it. What sets it apart is actual fried potatoes are used instead of French fries. The Hainan version's stew-like gravy goes best with toast bread. Walking distance from Hainan Treasures is the affordable RM5 crispy chicken burger. The stall is on the Batu Ferringhi main Road, just outside Secret Recipe. Have you tried? Real chicken instead of processed patty. Bon appetit.....
It tasted so good I went back today with some friends at 6pm... it was sold out!!! We ended up eating at Tasty 88 which is the drinks stall/choo char next to HT. Very good too and very affordable! Next time can try your burger recommendation, thanks!
@@pishedbloke Gosh!!! I was also at that chu char stall today just around the same time. 🤭 Bought tapau Crispy Noodle (Sang Mein) and Fried Beehoon then went to get three burgers.
@@pishedbloke Bro, if you intend to do a review of the crispy burger may I suggest you also visit the satay stall at Fettes Road (in front of Win Ma electrical)? RM1.30 each, good sized and friendly seller. They're excited when I told them a famous RUclipsr might just come and video them....ha ha. Good idea too to do a segment on Malay hawkers. Hoping and looking forward to it. 🙏
Bro, did they relocate or open up recently? The corner shop lot somewhere there used to sell a mix of Hainanese Western and dishes like Hokkein Char, am wondering if it was them because when I went back in August, the corner shop looked closed.
Although they’re Hainanese, but they are not able to make a real authentic style Hainanese chicken chop. I don’t know why many Hainanese had changed the original style. Only Hai Onn remained the original style. Unfortunately the best Hainanese chicken chop from Loke Thye Kee was no longer. Not to mention those who were not Hainanese, they have spoiled the traditional. If can’t make it original then don’t put Hainanese, just put chicken chop will do , please.

Wow happy to hear that you enjoyed Penang!!! We hope that you come back soon!
Thanks for sharing, bro. The Hainanese spring roll was originally from the nearby Long Beach food court many moons ago.
That must have been their original stall! I heard that they had moved a few times before this place.
