"What are you saving these Canpoic Jars for? Spend them!" I bet this is the type of guy who would replay a 40 minute battle in an RPG because he had to use a healing potion even though he has 150 of them in his pack and enough money to buy another 1000.

@@sperera6835 Actually I'm not, at all; and I genuinely find it annoying to see in others. Doubly so after playing Divinity coop with a friend who, playing 2 mages, wouldn't buy skills(spells) or use the spells he has because he was saving them for if we needed them later . . . He's sat there with 50K in his pocket but won't splash out 130 gold for a novice level spell, in case he needs it more next turn and we might find the skill book in the world and it might be a waste of 130 gold AND THEN he got pissy at me for buying mage skill books with MY money to give to his characters.
"This spell is awesome" "Well then you should use it" "I don't want to use it" "It's awesome so you don't want to use it? . . really?" and then he went in a grump with me.
"We should load and do that again" "Why?" "We had to use a resurrection scroll" "So?" "Well if we do it again we'll know what happens and it'll run smoother" ". . . so?" "well we'll save a scroll" "that's a waste of time" "but what if we need it later" "buy more" "what if we lose all our money" *sirgaz has gifted you 39 resurrection scrolls* "There you go, that's half my stack and I'm not loading" and he went in a grump with me.
After easily defeating the end boss "I bet you're glad you saved all that money and those spell scrolls, WE REALLY NEEDED THEM!" and then he went in a grump with me.
And after all that we're talking about the game and he's saying that mages are under powered and I had better stronger characters (ranger and fighter) "No, I just used my £$%&@#[] abilities!" and he went in a grump with me.

@@sirgaz8699 I know what you mean bro. Got a friend who's a compulsive hoarder. In TRPG he couldn't use his skills or spells for fear of wasting them.
In CRPG he always got all the loot even the lowest one, regardless of his levels because of his OCD.

I know exactly what you mean and I feel the same. Seeing people hoarding shit for later instead of using it when needed and then complaining about their character or class being bad is the very definition of annoying.

Looked rather slow tbqh, cav charges are better.
Imagine being a poor Bretonnian man at arms, brought to an hostile desert by the will of your King, witnessing your doom coming to yourself in the shape of 7 massive undead beasts ruthlessly leap charging towards you and your mates.
This is probably where the fact that sand is the best material to absorb shit was discovered.

@@clockmonkey I don't have to do such a thing. By the strictest definition, Moore's law hasn't been true for years. Other methods have been found to produce similar results in performance, but yearly % increase in CPU performance is reducing quickly. One cannot, for obvious reasons, foresee the future; perhaps there is a combination of technologies that allows for exponential growth again, but that is becoming statistically more unlikely. So I wouldn't put my money on increasingly more demanding TW games allowing tens of thousands of troops being deployed from the get go. Old TW games? Sure, if they can be modded to allow it. Affordability is also a big factor in allowing you, in particular, to do that. Resources are limited ( to a point, ofc) for most TW players, I'd wager

I mean yeah I love huge battles and all but since troops have a tendency to just stop attacking things and just stand there unless told to attack something else even if their current target is alive it can be bit of a nightmare to manage this stuff.

@LegendofTotalWar It actually bugged the arrows over 6 Times and the moment you Cast it into oblivion to Show ist bugged it actually worked xD
10mins into this and it warrants a cuppa. Amazing stuff. This game is an amazing achievement and battles like this really illustrate it well. Thanks for showing off content like this!

I will admit, I use one, or usually two units of carrion for my first and possibly the second army...
Because They're kind of handy pinning down enemy ranged units, and actually very good at dealing with weak archers.
Because I know they're so s*** they're some of very few units, that in my head; I'm able to loose every single unit of them every combat, and only feel upset over the lost XP for a Pyhric victory, rather than the upset I lost a unit with a rank or two of experience on them...
I dump them by turn 100ish though. I'll end up needing the slots/room in the army list, and unless I've f***ed it up royally, should have some long term units ready to replace them.
I vote for livestream fixing, definitely. This was painful.

Carrion shaming, I don’t think think legend will change his mind like he did on the trolls.
That's because he is right. Carrion do nothing that cant be done better by nehekharan horsemen except fly. They're absolutely terrible against almost everything, and the only benefit they truly provide is ease of flanking.
This battle is absolutely intense, I love it. One of the best fights vs an AI I've seen.

Its a prime example of follow LegendofTotalWar recomendations whitout considering the race you are playing, nor the thinking for yourself.
LegendofTotalWar general recommendations:
- A lot of Archers for damage.
- Halberds to hold the front line.
- Going into the Blue tree with the generals first.
- Hording Canopic jars like you did.
- Get a corner of the map.
What people think happens: skelly defeat crusaders by controlling big kitties.
What actually happens: Big cats want to socialize with French, French end up surrendering because their king is allergic to cats

Idea on how you could've squeezed some use for the Carrions: tying down archers or wasting ammunition of the other archers.
Make a drinking game. Every time Legend says "Oh my God!" take a shot.
Those carrion had loads of uses, even with being awful uses
Nuke the trebuchet, tie up the flying paladins and generals. Harrass the archers. Why send them in on grail guardians. Such a waste.
Totally agree. They are weak and there's no reason to have that many in your army on turn 227, but they would have been so much more useful charging into the archers and tying down King Louen. Honestly one of the worst decisions I've seen legend make. I mean, sure, they're bad, but you can use them better!

Yes, totally agree.
Those birds were used SO bad it kind of annoys me. I watch good players battling because I want to see all the units (even the bad ones) used to their maximum effectiveness, but this was like a first game noob tier play.
Basically throwing his hands in the air and shouting "I don't know what to do with them, I don't know what to do", just because he doesn't like them as a unit. All the while those unprotected enemy archers were just shooting and the flying units harassing him unimpeded. Really disappointing.
@@Icewolfnector He always does that, he did the same thing with the bloated corpses in the vampire coast fight, just sent them to die because he doesn't like them. I hate carrions too but just send them against the archers... Anything would have been better than that.

I kinda liked the Carrions in my Tomb Kings campaign. They are fast and decent at getting archers and unprotected artillery.

34:14 I don't know man, I never recruit hierotitans because all 3 tier 5 constructs require different buildings and I never have space for it. For major settlements there's the necrosphinx building, the warsphinx building, the bone giant building (mostly for extra lord recruit rank but I still love using them), walls/garrison building, if it's a port there's that, if it's a pyramid or any other special building there's that...it's been a while since I've loaded my latest tomb king save file so I'm having trouble remembering what other buildings there are but I just never seem to have space for hierotitans. It's a shame though, they look really cool and it's fun tanking loads of infantry with them!
Kind of got the feeling this guy likes archers...just a hunch though.

I have to admit I was cheering for Brettonia. If the AI pulled the king back to regroup with reinforcements he might have been able to pull off a win with that last wave of knights.

It might be boring but if I really dont want to lose a battle I usually have the enemy chase a flying unit about until they are all totally exhausted. It does seem to help a bit.

Carrion have A Use but it's only in the early game when you lack much else in the way of fast units you can use in vanguard deployment to remove enemy artillery and harass their archers focused elsewhere.

If you watch legend, and send it replays, you should know already what is and isnt shit, so shouldnt have an excuse for being this much of an idiot
