"Local australian still continues with his faces"
Melbourne, October 2nd
Scientists from the media and communication faculty at Melbourne university have failed to reign in Legendoftotalwar's facial muscles, with many resigning from the project citing the impossibility of this undertaking.
"We just can't handle the expressions he made for his new clickbait videos." said chief researcher Prof. Dr. Jeremy Cheesington. "The clicks on his disaster campaign/battle videos are through the roof, and it has started to worry the government. The Australian internet data infrastructure is not equipped for handling the amount of traffic he garners. We have tried showing him pictures of sad puppies and using tape to keep his cheeks in place. But each time he gets a new disaster campaign from a fan, he is just tensing up, having his wife take a snapshot and collects thousands of new viewers each day. Now excuse me, his new video just uploaded and I have to watch it. For my research, of course."
"Proffessor Jeff Jeffington declined to comment"
Lmao
Literally when I started to notice his face is on most video all I could think is
TotalWarPewDiePie
"Ok how are you doing with technology"
*Opens tech tree
"What the fffffffffffffffffffFUCK"
AAAaannd *demonitized*
I thought the same thing: holy damn, how can you be that into the campaign and haven't researched a single technology?
It's like caveman or gauls
@@tintaco3894 Well, can happen with Greenskins because you need a tier 3 building to even unlock research and technology but with High Elves that really shouldn't happen.
@@fenner1986 My guess is that people just set up disaster campaigns on purpose before sending them in to Legend.
Easily the funniest part in the video LOL
I feel like this was made just for you to lose with the sister doomstack.
This seems likely with everyone always asking how doom stacks work against one another. Guess they're not happy with his answer that it doesn't happen.
elves dont have doomstack.. alike skaven & fev other races where doomstack is actualy taking 2-3 armies to atack.
@@BloodM3ss you must be kidding. High elves and skaven have some of the best doomstacks in wh2
@@original5806 "Doomstack" is something you just move on map & autoresolve with no cassualities or minimum like unlucky 1 unit wiped... "Wining battles" with one army is on other hand your ability on comand & predict.
The thing you said is more like elves & skaven are easiest races to play.
@@bogdanleshenko7149 All of those, perhaps with the exception of war mammoth stack, would lose to full stack of carnosaur/shaggoth/necrosphinx. Only stack I can imagine that would win against ANY 20 unit army is 19 dread saurians + lord.
When Legend finally accepts the scientifically proven equation that Funny faces in thumbnail= +50% more views than usual
Sad but true.
A true Tec(h)less campaign....
S T O P T H A T
Priceless
Man this guys research tree was beautiful and the troop variety was stupendous. Can't see how this ended up being a disaster.
You can't prove the guy even knew the research tree existed.
Dwight E Howell spamming one unit, specifically the SoA, means he’s got either good experience with the game / faction and/or he watched vids about it. Either case, there is no excuse for that research tree, and if he didn’t knew about it then he doesn’t even deserve to be in here. Ffs explore your HUD, it’s not hyper complex to read x)
@@Shayrin2 How about he was simply trying to create a difficult to impossible situation for legend to play. By the way it is obvious to me that the game company could easily make the trick of repeatedly attacking the same weak town to gain experience impossible by terminating any community so used. That is what would likely happen in reality anyway. They could simply award few to no experience points for attacking the same weak location with the same army repeatedly.
Dwight E Howell Well you don’t send a game file to Legend if you want to put "extra difficulty" by giving yourself handicaps. Be consistent and don’t do things half baked.
"Oh I’m gonna play hardcore !"
*Things go wrong.*
"Well let’s give up and send this so that someone can fix my mess !"
@@Shayrin2 Legend has already said that he thinks that many of these games got the way they are because somebody put in time and effort making them go wrong because they wanted to get Legend to play their game on line and if he could fight his way out if he did.
meh, once you see the tech tree it's obv a setup "disaster".
Probably, but it's something that I actually did before I found out about the whack the settlement cheese. This is basically how my campaign looked like with Settra on Very Hard.
No one :
Legend in recent thumbnails: 😳😱😣
its too good I love it
That tech tree, though.
That killed me
@Aggressive Tubesock LOL
@Aggressive Tubesock Why? It's part of what make every faction unique and can give you a different experience playing the same faction again.
@Aggressive Tubesock To each his own I guess. Just do what you enjoy the most.
@Aggressive Tubesock it's probably worth it to just build the buildings to unlock the tech tree and then delete them if you don't use them for anything else.
the creator of this campaign should tell us what he was doing in this campaign
I'd like to know as well
Pressing end turn
This reeks of a setup, purely based on no technology. I could understand using a doomstack of sisters of avelorn, because in Medieval TW 1, my dad would use doomstacks of peasants, spearmen, and archers and somehow always win, but I don't understand why he had no other military buildings, since the sisters are one of the more expensive units
@@ProfessorHanger I agree
Definitely did this on purpose to make the lowest chance to win possible
He who strays into the fog of war blindly shall be eaten by lizards
Player : oh no, my campaign is doomed! Whatever shall i do?"
Legend : "Reverse UNO Card"
I like it how that high elf hero in the first battle decided to flee towards the army of dinosaurs. Darwinism in action.
Are elves the product of evolution though?
i don't know if this has been pointed out, but that campain movement range fuck up (1:44:00 ish) was probably because the Itza had this building that decreases movement range for hostile armies starting their turn in that province!
The only things missing from his thumbnail are a circle and an arrow pointing at random places.
I am giving you a like *just* for the pun. Alternative punny title: "Between Gor-Rok and a hard place".
Ah shudduppa ya face.
I thought someone playing Itza was in trouble and told myself who the hell has trouble playing Itza? :p
Loving the faces please continue
He's now a real RUclipsr
(Has 17K in his treasury, is making 40k per turn)
Me: "How the hell does this even qualify as a 'Disaster Campaign'?"
(Sees his technology screen)
Me: "oooooh...k then"
4k maybe, but yes, the point it's still that.
i laughed so hard when I saw the tech tree lol
Like it's unabashedly a set up too lol
Same here
My favorite part is when he sees that there was no tech research done.
I am loving this new look on the channel. I feel like those faces bring great comedy and life to the channel, and those power bars are not clickbait.
i'm a year late but for those who still wonder, revolts occure on the first minor city that you conquered in the region ( assuming you dont own the capital of course )
13:24 it's like someone is trying to rustle my jimmies.
20:27 Wow 👌 Yep. Jimmies' status: rustled.
OMG the last Lizardman General his name was "Geef'Eten" which is Dutch for: "Give Food" LOL :D
In case you didn't know by now. A lot of the lizardmen heroes/characters have dutch related names. I saw one lately that was called smth like "Defiq'Erin" :'D
There is also a lizardman called "bestell'bus" or something like that haha
@@Adama.1 I also saw one Friq'andel
@@Adama.1 does that mean "use the bus" ? :D
my skink priest is called katte'baq
If you don't have a major settlement the revolt happens on the first city you captured in that area :)
2:47 tell that to the game of thrones writers
In my High Elves Campaign I often have a Phoenix in my armies as a 'fast unit'
With the revolts at minor settlements, I think if you click on the province in your lists menu, the city it goes to is where the revolt will be. I haven't done definitive testing but in 3 or 4 tests of my theory it turned out to be true.
I always wonder how a machine learning AI would fix a disater battle. Turning a totally bad situation to be a good battle would be very interesting! and we could learn l lot from it.
I always feel like I'm terrible at the game watching these videos. Here I am on turn 57 as Marcus Wulfhart at level 10 with one province, on very hard. Still, determined to get better!
I dig Teclis with his battle-harem
about the revolt in minor settelments when a revolt is going to happen you get the message where the end turn is and when you click it it drag your camera to one of the settlements in your province and i noticed they seemed to rise everytime at that settlement where my camera moved
To be fair, I played my first like 10 Warhammer games without knowing there even was a tech tree. But...on Legendary difficulty, the player 'forgot' the tech tree is just bull.
the highest tier minor settlement has the revolt.
Techless, heh.
The guy that sent in the save was on the attacker side and he still could've retreated
he was defending as the window tells you. could've used lightning strike too otherwise
I will forever love the faces
Wait, Lightning Strike reduces enemy leadership? I never noticed that
When you getting struck by a god you will piss your self
This is why I love Averlon... Tier 3 sisters :)
(that require a tier 4 building to build.)
Disregard technology, create a harem for Teclis > keep your maidens ignorant and obedient
Apparently in the lore he's known for fooling around with human prostitutes
@@litmusing well that is good news for human economy since elves lifespan is so long. Probably human females are more busty than elven and even got bigger butts.
That handmaiden be baiting that Carnosaur like Claire running from the T-Rex in Jurassic World 😂
Just in Theory, how do you think a Star Dragon Stack would have fared against the dinosaur spam? I reckon they would be pretty effective because they are extremely strong in melee, can pick their fights and the longer the battle goes they can just focus more and more targets with their breath. Only thing you need to not get the penalty is a fast lord on a horse or any fast cavalry unit.
They are one of the best army if not the best stack in the game, certainly not the easiest to use, and i say this not based on theory crafting, but i have literally used it numerous times
Certain things need to be fulfilled before using that army though. Such as sufficiently leveled prince with dragonwilled trait, 2 light mages (for the double nets), 1 life mage for healings (and buffs if needed), 1 handmaiden (for the third net), 3 frost phoenixes, 12 star dragons (13 if you count the prince's mount)
That army can beat 3, even 4 stacks full of late game units if played correctly, and still literally lose not even one unit. I've even been in a situation where my very tired star dragons army are caught of guard by 3 full fresh dark elves armies, with most of them are nagarond black guard, the rest are combination of dread knights, charyhdis, black dragons and darkshards. I thought i'm going to get wiped out easily, instead of that, i managed to win with literally 0 units lost, not easy, but not as hard and certainly not as impossible as i thought, it was a very long battle though, like 30 minutes if not 40, it's my most epic moments in total warhammer 2 so far
I love waking up to these disasters
why am i feeling it was a setup campaign to test
LegendofTotalWar :)
i died at the no tech part lol
I love how everytime this bro comes in and is like, idk.... and then always wins
When total checked the progress made in technology 😂
Not a particularly weird formation, this is a (very litteral) application of defense in depth.
Some days, i feel stupid.
Then i look at some campaigns you have to fix and it makes me feel better ^^
I got a dr Squatch commercial and might I say, with ad block this ad sneaking through was actually good. We bout to go all natural
Ohhh so this where the famous “put artilery in front” tactic comes from 😁
All these people who send you their disaster campaigns give me headaches on how they play the game lol
Looks like Teclis went Tech-Less hehehehee
I think the reason you lost the movement range is because you lost the handmaiden which was boosting your movement. The same sort of thing is why you seeming cant go into encamp stance or ambush or what have you because you have heroes boosting movement and it only goes off base movement.
Those guys have a tendency of declaring war on you even if you've never left land
this feels like it was a head-to-head campaign, Teclis vs Gor-rok to me tbh
lmao that tech tree
Teclis- "Kill them"
Legend- Yeah, I'll do what I can...
Oh yea, 20:26 "ok, lets see how your doing with technology. ... WHAT THE...... FUUUUUCK" I just about died laughing!
Itza not so bad, itza cheese.
Rampage = Unbreakable until rampage its over.
I love when it’s so bad he laughs at it.
Lizards fly out to harass the archers one unit shot out of the sky the other beats a hasty retreat. That made me laugh
inb4 Legend is trying to call for help using the faces in his thumbnail.
It is awesome that you basically put the archers into a Tesla Valve formation to stem the flow of dinosaurs.
Bad day at the office for that Bolt Thrower crew
The icon for itza is a hedgehog
A Carnasaur in melee
For some reason now im insanely early to your vids all the the time, oh well, I don’t mind😂
„everything can take out skink skirmishers“
I had a campaign with Wulftard on normal difficulty, and i had 2 units of Empire knights chase 3 units of skirmishers... i thought, i could charge 2 of the units and have them break them amd chase them off to micro elswhere... well, i lost my 2 units. They could not beat them in battle and got shot up by the 3rd unit!
Empire knight memes, i guess!
What difficulty? Because Empire Knights are shock cav and aren't good in sustained melee. And on higher difficulty that's even more true.
But I find if you have them in the garrison they can still be useful for leadersbip debuff.
Don't Handmaidens give buffs to surrounding ranged units?
I love these videos, its like daily dose of legend...
52 turns what have you been doing? Elven anime. Awww yeah.
the rebellion should pop up in the settlement that it takes you to when u click on the "imminent rebellion" thingy in ur events list. from wat ive been able to tell this works even if you dont own the capital. the minor settlement that it takes you to should be the one.
How many sisters? NEVER ENOUGH SISTERS!
Same thing happened to me today using guard mode with range units just walking forward for no reason.
Solely here for the title pun.
I’d say Itza is now the strongest AI controlled faction in the game.
Just destroyed them as Ikit Claw, it was pretty early in Vortex campaign.
Try that again as skrolk
@@tarnyowl6068 Is it harder?
You don’t get the weapons lab stuff with nukes and buffs so you’ve gotta just use plague monks and plague claws a lot harder
For some reason, Itza usually becomes a powerhouse fairly early in the campaign. In my Legendary Teclis campaign I'm about 30 turns in, and Itza is 4 on the Strength ranking, while me and most of the other Lizardmen sits at around 80.
I mean not for some reason, they have an amazing start with so much money when they conquer the south. It's pretty easy to build then. Itza to me is the most boring dino campaign because of how easy it actually is.
When I do brainless stacks with High Elves I do 60% Sisters of Averlorn with 40% Phoenix Guard. The Sisters melt everything, even high armour single entity units and the Phoenix Guards pin them. The biggest weakness with this type of army is that it's hard to get maximum effectiveness with Sisters of Averlorn when attacking walled settlements.
Like the fact this is a set up disaster honestly took away from the video overall. I really hope these don't become a thing
That pun in the title was attrocious....
I love it!
I think I'll send in my save, which I've abandoned for over a year after concluding the Skaven campaign was unbalanced.
My Skaven campaign went wrong on turn 58, when completing the second ritual when a Lizardman Intervention army pops up outside my capital.
Expecting this, I have my lord and his best full-stack army defending the capital during the ritual with several hero units and even a catapult.
3,680 skaven vs 800 lizardmen. The battle meter shows us basically even, and I am defending siege, but I cannot find a way to beat the lizardmen dino-spam.
I sent the save to a friend some time ago, which is why I still have it. He couldn't win, either.
They have 3 units temple guard, 4 kroxigors, and a ton of dinosaurs. Their weakest units are chameoleon skinks.
The most annoying part is that they can just teleport this late-game death-ball in, when Skaven cannot seem to practically defend from it.
I just fought the Dino doom stack, I spam warplightning cannons, stormvermin with halberds and hell pit abominations and it gets the job done 🤷♂️
People always say the game magically creates 5 armies right outside their line of sight or something similar, but this game doesn't do that, it's all whining. Every army they have was created within the same rule set that you have, the difference is they do get money cheats depending on the difficulty so they can raise more armies than you can. If you didn't see that army coming it's because you failed to scout the area, and when you are fighting a war you absolutely should have scouts placed in every direction that they could possibly come from. the rite of primeval glory is the exception to the units spawning out of nowhere rule (for the lizardmen anyway) but they always spawn at the factions capitol, just like yours do.
I'm wondering what your army composition was? plagueclaw catapults will be great against temple guard and saurus, but probably get a warp-lightning cannon for the dinos. Ratling guns and jezzails will also do well against dinos while you tie them up with stormvermin with halberds and the menance below summon and the plague priest summon. If you can get hell-pit abominations those are fun, best used against the tougher but less hard hitting dinos, the carnosaurs you should be able to snipe from range with jezzails and warp-lightning cannons. Poison wind globadiers are also great anti-large, again best used while you delay the dinos with summons from plague priest/menance below. Warp lightning and/or the plague spell should wreck the temple guard, leaving you free to focus more on dinos. skaven are honestly really strong, and flexible race, able to ambush almost anything with a few points into ancient cunning. I don't play vortex campaign that much, only occasionally, but i've completed multiple legendary skaven campaigns on ME.
Oh my god I busted out laughing at the tech tree
This looks like the AI was playing for the first fifty turns. Spam army, no expansion for fifty turns, no friends, no tech.
45:30
Ive noticed that happen with my shades and darkshards as well.
Occasionally, when multiple Ranged units are ordered to fire at the same target, they will elect to run forward and form a clump that obstructs themselves from shooting. This happens even if all the units had the selected target in range. Its super annoying.
I love how the Handmaiden was running afraid... towards the dinosaurs xd
You have the best thumbnails.
I thought I was doing badly at the game. But then I saw this guy’s technologies at turn 53. I’m not so bad afterall haha.
Put the artilery on front like in games of thrones?
A man of pure logic and culture XD
with all the New Stuff The Lizards got they are just a bit to strong for theyr Campain ... my Oppinion , They Rule everytime i get there !
Or mazdamundi
I think some campaign reworks might be in order at some stage. I'm stuck in a dreadfleet campaign and it's reached the point where I'm being constantly assailed by multiple armies of lizardmen and highelves all gold chevronned and composed of the best units. Talk about fucked... all my income is from pirate coves so yeah the maelstrom is my only stronghold
"High Elf cavalry sucks" tell us how you really feel lol
No technology. Hahaha.
Awesome video, would love to see more of this type!
Hey legend I've noticed in some of these disaster campaigns people make really bad skill choices when specing their lords and I'm definitely guilty of some of these mistakes. Do you reckon you'd be able to do a skill guide video in the future cause i'm not able to find any updated ones.
Magic>Lightning Strike>Red Tree unless your lord is a madman duelist who you want to snipe people. And of course each faction has minor differences
This is why I play with a mod that removes upkeep costs per extra lord. Mean I dont need to doomstack I can just field lots of normal well balanced armies.
I love the faces legend.
*Moonbow sparkle intensifies* Ah yes the Sailor Moon Stack.
