Well the high elves are pretty easy on the whole marriage thing. The king and queen only have to be monogamous about a year and then its a free for all like in all of elven society. Also the queen and king are mostly pretty closely related, so thats probably for the better to get some fresh blood in, as the next everqueen is always the daughter of the last, so when she dies the king must marry the daughter.

You can see at the end the popup saying that "Ambush foiled" so he probably tried to bait with the forced march, and the army that came from the rear was probably trying to ambush Tyrion.

That army composition tells me the guy at least knows how to play High elves .
It's just that mirror matches can be difficult when the enemy AI has gigantic cheats.
Well, even at legendary difficulty AI is still a massive retard that cannot adapt to save his own life without cheats.
And army composition "Best ranged unit+ meat to hold enemy in place" works literally for every faction other than Norska and Brits.

Lore of fire attribute (grants fire vulnerability map wide to foes for a time frame) has fun synergy with Sisters. Too bad Teclis is the only high elf mage that can have it.

in all of my recent tww2 games at 5:30 the enemy AI always just knows where my hidden units are all the time, Its infuriating to have a unit hiding in the trees thats an elite unit that can hit really hard if they can get a flank so I set up a little line with them hiding in the woods and the ai always sends 2-3 units to where the hidden one is, Ive tested this when I was playing vamps, skaven, and empire. Its amazing that they didnt just march the whole army towards your lords as they always do that to me.

Ikr? I just can't get into Three Kingdoms like i can WH2. The art style is just weird and settlement design is, not exactly confusing, but WH2 did it way better
@@johnmcmanus2447 I would have to disagree on that last bit. Siege battles in WH2 are awful and by far the worst part of the game, especially with large battles.
@@ninetailedfox579121 I think i misspoke. I meant the way provinces are designed as far as buildings go and upgrading them. Sieges in WH2 are definitely boring
Dra-gone-ite I find any battles in 3 kingdoms boring, warhammer has them beat in every sense in my opinion. Another issue I have is the game mechanics and the UI especially, just makes warhammer easily the best

Have you thought about testing the Hero trait that massively buffs Phoenixs (I think it was for Loremaster of Hoeth and/or Nobles) that give +12 melee defense to Phoenixs on army and a few other things and doing a Phoenix army?
Jamaly pheonix aren’t good even with that, and if you don’t like what he does then don’t watch
Post battle result should provide a countdown of all hp pts lost/killed for both sides and all armies, that would be interesting to compare.
Note to Legend: u could have double clicked on 1 of sisters unit cards instead of square them to prevent getting disturbed by your 3 lancers units on the way in the battle. 17:00
In cases like this with all units identical, double click is the faster/safer way to do.

BTW is there any situation in which you want military alliances? i have a save as mazdamundi where im military allies with most other lizard factions in lustria, and at war with most of the others (they were military allies, so i had to declare war on all of them at once). Basically a huge war between all lizards and the blessed dread, skaven and khalida. Quite fun though. Especially since my allies take up 2/3 of the front line

Should do a first 20 turns for Avelorn, it's actually not that hard you can wipe out the scourge of khaine within the first 10 turns and then head down the west side of Ulthauan snatching territories before the other factions. You also set up non-aggression pacts and trade agreements but no alliances and no military access with the other factions of the island. This means they can't gain any new territory making their army limited in size. Tyrion with no other options eventually sails into the sea with his army to take the maelstrom and loses a large enough majority for you to confederate him by turn 30-40 turn 50 at the latest by that point its pretty much a free campaign. The last run-through I had a 75k income per turn on turn 100 before army upkeep.
If you're going to make an Alliance only make a treaty with that faction.
In Short only make Alliances with Ginormous Factions that can eat all your trade resources.
In short join the duo Empire and dwarves then profit~

Hmmmm, weird, Tyrion might be prick but he didnt bother me, playing Alarielle atm. Conquered my province first then went for Khaine province and moved down the coast taking land(also pretty much all elves were happy with me). Meanwhile Tyrion was warring with elves in inner ring by time i got border with Tyrion i spend loads of infuence and like 30k(most from taking sea treasures) gold to confederate Tyrion xD
Legend, you just can't forget about that alliance can't you? Will this one finally be put into the book of grudges?

I play as high elves and have had good relations with Reikland and Couronne. All of a sudden though, they joined together and wanted to kill me. Out of the blue - So now the game plan has changed completely.

I'll have to try and recreate this.... But I'm fairly certain your first army could have done a lot better , you seemed resigned to just throwing it away. Sisters of avelorn are some of the most powerful infantry units in the game, their arrows are effective on everything , only Dwarves magic resist dulls them, and they are actually decent melee units. If you had focus fired on one blob or Phoenix at a time you could have sniped them out
And, the sisters have range ..... In a skirmish battle it's often the first one that gets a volley off that will win
Then again I do run mods that fix the broken or stupid aspects of the game. So I can recruit gate guard with the elven Armory , and they beat ....most everything

Or maybe diplomacy in TW: Warhammer 2 is strange when common Dreadlord/Prince can insult Malekith/Tyrion and treat them like Skavens or Chaos scum.

Makes him better, sure. Not sure about good though. Would be nice if you could level him up and give him equipment
he already knew for a while now.Though this change only makes him a good through away army since you can't keep him nor level him up.
He has seen it and like the others said the fact that doesn't use suply of armies is a huge improvement but the fact that they can't lv and can give him equipment and neither to they buff there army. Means they never improve.
So they now are like they where with Brettonnia before beside that they themselves also cost nothing, but by having them command an army you effectively are stealing exp from your next lord because every exp they get (and don't and can't use) could have been going towards your General and hero you could have gotten instead for a small price. And its a small price to pay to. As leveling your lord more slowly wil put you at a big disadvantage once you replace Gotrek for another lord.
I seem to recall Legend says for that fact they are still not worth giving an army but just having them as an acompaning army as you can do with Brettonia as they don't cost you the supply lines and they are really good fighters especially at the start beside losing them isn't of any real importance (With Brettonia you do this so those lords and heroes also can already start leveling before they get their own army and get their vows sorted and are als some of the best units you can get early game)
So they are way more viable now they don't raise the supply line but still not as good as getting another generic general. Giving them an army that is as just hiring is no problem.
Also I saw someone saying you could tag out a not immortal Lord of Hero before a risky fight as they are immortal and thats true but probaly the fight will be more difficult if you put them in your army as they don't boost your army where you previous not immortal General or Hero probaly did alteast in some way and you would need them to tail that army you can't just tag them out from anywhere you like. So while that is true I think its just really situational and you can still do them if you don't give them an army its even more likely to do it tin that case.
By good I meant at least viable and it's not going to severely increase your campaign challenge on the higher difficulties
@@izaakwedgwood9153 yeah its indeed mor viable and well if you aren't strugling in y our campaign you could always hire them and enjoy them have them be viable and eventhough they are 'bad' for your campaing. Now you put yourself in less of a disadvantage but you still do and Legend has said iirc that he stil wouldn't give them an army.
But then again Legend plays really praticaly he doesn't do or use things because they look cool or because of the lore,... but just about only whether they are effective for battles or to win the war reach a goal...
As for me eventhough I like to be as effective as possible I happily surrender some of it for doing something cool or 'reinacting' something.

I believe it happened in "The Richest Woman in Ulthuan - Alarielle Mortal Empires Livestream"
He played the campaign in 3 8-hour streams, so good luck finding the exact moment. I dont think a short clip o it exists.
The short story:
Legend allied Tyrion as he wanted to confederate with him.
Tyrion then attacked another elven faction Legend was allied to and called him into the war.
This led to him beeing "unreliable" and fighting a war he was not prepared for.
Just some turns later, due to his low reliability, Tyrion broke the alliance and attacked him, even though Tyrion caused this whole mess.
He also had to fight like 20 other factions because of his low reliability.
After he had beaten Tyrion, Legend tried everything(waiting really long, paying him absurd amounts of money, defending him from other factions,...) to peace out and confederate him, because Tyrion is the maybe best lord in the game, but this idiot refused.

Find the first Alarielle Richest Woman In Ulthuan campaign. Its about 4 1/2 hours in that the campaign got interesting

I have several related questions for anyone who can answer. How are his sisters so accurate? Do I need to get all the dlc to have all the balance updates? Or do they give the balance regardless? I have most but not all DLC. I just know that when my sisters shoot at a lord, they miss like crazy. For instance I watched a battle of him vs Malekith where he managed to kill Malekith riding a chariot before he even got to his front line...for me, malekith casted all of his spells in about 3 seconds after about 8 units of sisters failed to even put 10% damage on him before he plowed through my front line. I play on very hard for both campaign and battles.

The game doesn´t have something like Mummies that could be easily set on fire.
Anything with a lot of wood, so siege machines should be susceptible to burning...

But that is really just 3 factions out of 15.
Now the Vampire Coast might have some fire sensitive units too, so 4 out of 15, but that still is a low chance to encounter something worth using lots of fire damaging units with you.
UNLESS you intentionally build an army meant to go against such a faction.
@John Constantine Sorry, i´m mostly campaigne player.
That means more often than not i have to engage multiple different enemies with one and the same army because that´s how i encounter them.
Slaughtering your way through Greenskins only to then suddenly fight Dark Elves or Lizardmen is nothing out of the ordinary.
And after you fought humans first the next enemy is Dwarves or Tomb Kings. Or any other kind of Undead. And don´t forget the sheer omnipresent Skaven.
Is it true that fire attacks count as magical attacks? I heard it once.
why not use the normal archers on the phoenixes at the start?

When you've done enough balance of power damage to the enemy, while preserving yours, the game decides you've won. Watch for every unit's leadership to tank suddenly and there it is
Why Legend doesn’t like Tyrion?
He got an alliance with Lothern in an Alarielle campaign and it immediately fell apart when Tyrion declared war on saphery, who Legend had treaties with

Never let your army be caught in forced march i would literally have just reloaded an earlier save. Dont fight dumb battles in this game on legendary difficulty if you can avoid it
Legendary auto saves as soon as the battle card shows up, so this player was locked into that fight the moment they attacked. No saves to reload except for the pre-battle card.
pretty sure the forced-march army was a decoy and the other army was on ambush stance, cause at the end of the fight you can see the log ambush failed.
You cant do anything against the phoenixes, weh they too strong. Yet 8 sisters can shred it in 3 or less volleys. Like who cares that it has 70 flame resist. With so much firepower nothing matters, regardless of their resistance everything will die. And I thought you mastered the game
You usually dont want to use that much ammo on them, there are better targets to shoot.
@@friedrichlars97 3 volleys would not make a difference, considering how many he had. One volley from each sister of avelorn and that's a or nearly dead phoinex, so 2 volleys, plus another to snipe Tyrion, and that's half the problems solved
@@bogdangontar1363 look at the ammo left on those sisters at the end of the battle. If he had wasted 4-6 shots from each to kill the birds, he wouldn't have had the ammo to clean up their archers. Every shot counts, and there were 100% better targets to hit. He has mastered the game.
The phoenixes do not have huge health and the sisters would shred them for sure if they were on their own.
However he had no front line = the real damage was coming from the cav which at the end is what wrecked his first army, the phoenixes interrupted a few archers true but was not what completely wrecked his first army.
He aimed on what was going to wreck his second army and it was not the phoenixes.
He knew what he was doing.
Coming from a guy that loves using phoenixes, with the right boost they own, but the AI is shit with them, you can see the AI throwing his Phoenixes against spears, DEADLY SIN.
Is this video the reason why Legend is always butthurt about Tyrion or is there more to it?
