- This is the review of the New Balance FreshFoam X 1080v13, the latest iteration of the premium daily trainer by New Balance. It's greater than ever, and that comes from someones who didn't enjoy their previous versions that much.

Enjoyed this review format. Thanks.
Thank you
thank you for answering on durability aspect 🎉
Of course!
Good twist on the review which is more interactive with your viewers👍 aesthetically, you can also pull this off doing errands and going to the mall... your feet will thank you afterwards😅
Thanks for your comment ;-)
Wow. Belgium looks really different this time of year. Must plan a holiday. 😉
Would definitely give this a go. Something soft and cushioned for a daily trainer now that Nike have wrecked the fit on the invincible.
Green screens work wonders 😉
That was my first thought as well @andywright7425 🤣
Andy, it's just climate change 😎
Nice review. Would you choose The 1080v13 over The sc trainer v2 for Daily training? Seems like both are light and soft.
SC trainer is too soft for me, 1080v13 would be my choice
The new format is so fresh! I like it. 👍
Do you know if it is true that the ffMore line will be discontinued?
Have a nice ve day
Thanks for the nice comment, I don’t think it will be discontinued
Just my two cents, im a casual runner, still looking for a pair of comfortable running shoes that fit properly to my feet, their not that wide, but I like space on the sides so the top don't squeeze the foot. I got a 2e wide fit, still weren't wide enough. They are comfortable, but unstable. Didn't like the way the heel grips, it was still slipping, that cause irritation on the archilles. The heel to toe transition seems like two parts, not so smooth. I have the v12's, I think those fit better on me, or maybe I need a more stable shoe with cushioning. I love the comfort of new balance and fresh foam, but getting that nice fit is not gonna happen for me too soon. I think the more comfortable basketball shoes fit better with width, that would be ideal, a crossover shoe that I could run in at a slow pace, bless.
Man. I’m gonna have to just go try these. Hate how everyone talks about how good the nimbus 25 is. I bought a nimbus 25 because of everyone’s recommendations and I hate using them for running so it just gathers dust unless I use it as lifestyle shoes.
You won’t regret em, bought a pair over the weekend and I’m really enjoying the stability and comfort as my daily trainer !
Yes like someone else wrote, you probably won't regret them.
Hi ! a quick question regarding the NB 1080 v13..... does the upper expend a bit lenghtwise ?
I’ve purchased these in my regular size for my first marathon, but my big toe is close to the end on my left foot (which is quite longer than my right one). I’ve just done a quick test and I could feel my big toe slightly touching the end of the toebox when I ran, I was wondering if it does extend a bit with time.I have very narrow foot so I think it wouldn’t be a good option to go up half a size.
let me know if you think this could work or if you think these could be too short for Marathon distance :)
I really liked V11, started running after a knee injury. Took it to 1000k and I would even run with it now.
Thanks for your comment, Silke. I didn't know this story about the v11 and your injury. Hopefully you can test this one too.
How does this compare to the Triumph 20? I recall you mentioned that you don't like the Triumph because of the heel strike feeling. I also feel the heel is too soft in the Triumph
How does this compare to the More v4? Everyone seems to think the 1080 v13 is a max cushioned shoe, but no-one mentions the More when comparing it to other max cushioned shoes (like the nimbus 25).
Honestly this feels more "max cushion" than the More to me. The more feels almost a touch firmer and is way more clunky.
@@AlexFilitti Very intriguing! I absolutely love the More v4 (I have 2 regular pairs, and a permafrost one), and while I don't find it clunky for it's size, I'd welcome something smaller. I like that the More isn't 'sink in' soft, which is probably one of the reasons why the ride is so smooth.
Interesting. Definitely raises curiosity about where they plan to take the More v5.@@AlexFilitti
Brother, I like your shoe comparison video. I am from Pakistan and I'm confused between the New Balance Fresh Foam 1080 v3 and the Nike Zoom Invincible 3. Which one should I buy? Please give me a suggestion.or any shoes with a maximum budget of $200, can you suggest some? i want to use for daily running.
I just bought a pair and the upper is pretty "baggy" at the instep, it sticks out instead of hugging the foot and just doesn't seem right. Did you notice this?
nice new format! I bet on a marathon
Thanks! Let's see ;-)
Beautiful shoe. I hated 1080V12.
12 was terrible shoe. . Did a 5k in them and after that they became dogwalk shoes... that bad
@@fabsterun I was surprised to see that every run in them my Garmin gave me - 5 Performance Condition.. Only shoe that I die in...
@i.p2808 because its not responsive. Might aswell wear crocs lite rides .. probably better midsole
Same, the v12 felt like a brick compared to other max cushioned shoes
Hello. How would you compare this to the Clifton 9? Softness, ride. Thanks!
Unfortunately I haven't properly reviewed the Clifton 9 so I can't really answer that question.
Foot length 26cm, what size do you recommend getting?
I thought it was a hoka at a glance. I have the v12. A bit of a dead midsole but the upper is very good. Not something I would buy again.
I didn't like the v12 either but this works well. You could give it a shot I think.
Hello, what about the weight? I don't know if I didn't see the information watching the video or it miss.
I liked so much the foam of more v4 but only this and for recovery only. The more upper was a tragedy, from hotspots, to blisters, to the non gusseted short slipping tongue. Is this a possible more versatile substitute? Thanx.
This is definitely a more versatile (and much lighter option). My pair comes at around 290g for a US11 which isn't bad at all.
Tnx a lot for the answer. I am 12us, so the weight for me it’s relevant.
how does this compare to supernova rise/prima?
is much more squishy what the fuelcell rebel v3? and more v4?
Yes more squishy than both
Which one u choose? Either nb 1080 v13 or asics metaspeed sky??
Very different shoes, one for training, the other for racing
How does this compare to ASICS Nova blast 3
The Novablast is lighter and *feels* faster. The fit is better on this shoe and it's doing a better job as a daily trainer.
Hi! is it true size? Normal or wide size?
True to size! Both width are available I think
Clunky and heavy. Gets even heavier in the rain. Expensive too.
Clunky maybe, but not heavy!
This is awful. Extreme cushioning, higher up from ground. I developed backpain after walking on it
Would love to get the same bags @ *AMZLV*
