It is a very clingy fabric and would show lumps and bumps in even the skinniest of girls. She would've been much better in a body con dress of different fabric! That being said she is absolutely stunning. The hair is fantastic! :)

The clothing choice was a definite,'NO!" Her body type in a less clingy dress with a bit of a flow to the bottom with a lite little jacket would have been a much better choice.
Poor woman.... been through so much and they put her in that outfit... with those shoes.... and no real change to the hair.... they could have put in highlights or something..... I rate this make over a HUGE fail.... not Rachel's usual miracle. This make over artist really has no taste.... especially in clothes.

Geri Acheson in this business you have to work with your sponsors or they will drop you. If you get dropped then you cant give people makeovers, you can’t make them feel good about themselves because the money won’t be there to do it. I love that dress, those shoes and that hair!!! Nothing is wrong with jeans and a T-shirt but this is a make over show so the artists glam the client/guest up. That’s just the point of the show. She looks beautiful!

It isn't just you. No one thinks she looks better. The dress was unflattering and the shoes were truly hideous. She was perfectly attractive before and could simply have been put into a flattering outfit. The hair color was interesting, but as a busy mother how will she be able to keep up with roots touchup, etc. Bad choices all around. Rachel Ray is pretty phony with her over the top reactions. She's often not dressed well either. She should NEVER wear a turtle neck which I've seen her in. Looks like she has a had a neckectomy. Dressing well is knowing what flatters your body type, not highlighting your flaws.

Insane that they chose such a dress for her. Pretty much the opposite of slimming. I see what you mean by hair too dark, but didn't mind the color itself (hilariously SOOO Louis Licari!), most disappointing was that the cut obscured her very pretty natural facial features. Such a letdown.
She needs to now help her overweight son I saw in the video. My grandson spent his life being bullied for being very obese. He moved to his own apartment at 19, changed his diet he had grown up with, and he is sooooooooooo healthy and handsome now. So proud of him.

I've had dyed hair for a long time and it IS a commitment and takes up time. Why just don't do a cut or something and embrace her natural colour ?

Ncooooh another me! I too, had 2 sets of twins. I was waiting for all the kids to be off nappies and a little more independent before focusing on my transformation. I big chopped; lost all the baby weight and just incorporated a wardrobe that was stylish enough for a young mom. This mommy was really beautiful before the make over though.

Exactly. Hair and dress color clashed, shoes were not appropriate for that dress. Soft sandal or low heel in a complimentary color to the dress. Not what she got.
