- For Teacher Appreciation Week, Jill Martin headed to Indiana to surprise two educators, Michelle and Donna, with Ambush Makeovers! The ladies then traveled to the TODAY studio in New York City, got pampered and are now unveiling their new looks.

Absolutely gorgeous women!! Sure they aren't used to walking in heels, other priorities in life (spending their lives teaching and raising their children.. It's not practical nor quite safe running around on heels. I know what I'm talking about, I've had the same hectic life. Now I'm starting retirement. 😁 They sure deserved all the pampering and attention. ❤️
My mom taught for 46 straight years and I would stRAIGHT break into tears if she experienced this makeover. She will turn 79 in the end of July, 2020. She first started teaching while living on the Marine base with my dad in Camp Pendleton, San Diego, in 1963. They will celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary in Two days: June 22, 1963.
Dad is also a retired teacher for Los Angeles Unified School District. He taught for decades. Sharon and Russell 💞🌅❤️💚

@@ph2492 Yeah, I guess platform heels are more stable since they touch a bigger surface area on the ground.
I noticed they both couldn't. They probably haven't worn heels during the course of their life.

I had Donna Spivak and she’s so kind and respectful of everyone and she would never force you to play games or chess if you didn’t want too

They look great. But surprising someone with a hugely public makeover doesn't seem like a very kind thing to do. You are basically telling your collegues that they look so bad that they need an intervention 🤣This would not be a pleasing surprise for many of us who would not want that public surprise and would prefer to make life alternations thoughtfully in our own ways.
The desks were not necessary. The women look stunning!
The makeover guy does much better makeovers. They deserve better.

She wiped of all that make up as soon she got home, you can tell she doesn't care for it and prefers her natural look. I'm sure she liked the hair color

I am not sure they will care enough to do the upkeep. I am a teacher, and we don't have time for all that in the morning. Teaching is also not the type of work that it is practical to dress up for.

@@kayliewolverton3326 WHAT is your problem? There was no hatred in her comment. It was merely an observation. And I would be soon happy if we could lose that ridiculous "hate on" expression. It sounds so jr high.
Yes, that is the thing with all of the makeover shows... the upkeep is impossible. It is like that with people on The Biggest Loser and with with home makeover shows. There was a family in my neighborhood who had the Extreme Home Makeover team do their house and it was done with low quality materials and slapped together too quickly. The famuly didn't have the time, skill, and financial resources to keep it up. It looked horrible within a few years. Real, sustainable transformation doesn't work well for TV.
Of course they straightened her hair 😑
All makeovers I watch do not update the eyeglasses
