Thanks for doing this, I too added the front splitter to my non-handling pack car. I added the rear wing, a staggered set of LMR MPH1 wheels made for the non handling pack cars with back spacing that pushes the wheel out to the fender. The have the same design as the HP cars. Steeda makes the camber plates you are referring to, nicer than the Ford camber plates. I use them when I go to a track day I add camber per the mach1 performance PDF for track use. I didnt change the camber when I did auto cross but on the big track I did. Easy to use. Mustangs like full castor setting too. If you have the camber plate you simply loosen the 3, 17mm strut nuts on the tower under the hood, with the front end lifted you simply push the strut toward the passenger compartment and then left or right depending on if you are adding camber or subtracting camber. I have a punch mark on my strut tower to provide an index for track camber and street camber setting. I use a 10mm T handle on top of the strut itself to have leverage to move the strut to the desired alignment indexing mark and keep pressure on the assembly for max castor. Then while I’m keeping the setting by holding the T handle, I have a buddy quickly ratchet one of the 17mm nuts snug, then I do the other two. Repeat on the other side. Takes about 10 -15 minutes including jacking time. Easy to do if you need to change for a closed course event. It’s amazing how accurate the setting from -1.5 to -2.5 of camber and max castor is with just some punch marks for indexing the top strut bolt and you can go from a street setting to a track setting in minutes. Then reverse procedure after the event.
Splitter looks great and the mustang is beautiful, something about a red vehicle that looks fast. I thought I was going to regret buying a red gladiator but now I love it. My ordered hybrid maverick is cactus grey.
I just put my lower splitter on 2 days ago. I bought the plastic rivot tool from harbor freight. I think it was $18-19. Works like a charm. I also had 2 bolts left over. I used all the rivots. Your right the instructions are junk!!

Hey I’m a Corvette guy. However I do appreciate a nice looking, performing Mustang. I would totally install that splitter. As long as it wouldn’t hurt the vehicle. My thought is it’s going to look really bad ass. I does look great. Nice mean look. You can get the other rivet gun at any hardware store or automotive place
Hey Carl.My suggestion is to add a identical piece under the splitter to protect it from damage. Using the cardboard as a template get a sheet of steel or abs plastic to mount underneath. Laird plastics for abs .Check online because now they have a 500.00 minimum now at the store.Yep it sucks but the stuff is great and I have used it for everything.

I was on here looking for the performance package front chin splitter add on too! That was a great idea for the Jack to hold up the splitter, I was wondering how you were going to hold it up and put in the screws all by yourself!! I’m fixing to order mine and I also am thinking hard about rear and side louvers but haven’t completely sold myself on those yet! I have already regretted not getting the handling package when I ordered mine because that front splitter alone just sets that car off and can’t wait to get mine!!! I too have the red so I know exactly how it will look!! My husband ordered one same time as me but his is with the handling package and it just got built and should be here on the 20th or around that time! His is white with black, but I love the red most and I get more compliments on it! What interior did you get? The leather seats or riccarro? My 22 with handling package is "in transit". No idea when it'll show up, but can you let me know what your ground clearance is? From what I'm hearing it won't come installed.
@@Nuxx.O Don't get me wrong I loved the car as well it was a great experience. But It was costing far too much for it to sit in my garage with occasional use. $1400 a year for taxes and insurance that doubled because my daughter is still on ours.
What size socket for the bolts ( I need to tighten factory bolts).I used regular aluminum rivets to replace the plastic ones that has already broke on my HP. They will come out if you scrape anything.
Do you have a link to the hardware kit itself? My front splitter rivets came undone on the track and I suspect it was never installed correctly by whatever dealer/tech did it. The splitter itself seems fine, but need new hardware at least after cutting the other fasteners off to remove the splitter to get home.
When I ordered mine The dealership that I ordered it from ordered a hardware kit to go with it. Unfortunately I did not need that so I ended up with the hardware that came with the spoiler and an extra set of hardware which they charged around $50 for. I don't know the part #s

That is one of the reasons that I hadn't put 1 on mine earlier when I bought it.. But you definitely have to be very careful on the steeper driveways and exit. When I drove mine to work I had to leave the parking lot at an angle to keep it from scraping it is pretty low.

Straight from Ford dealership you may have to shop around on the Internet because they are hard to find even at Ford's dealerships . They come with the hardware that you need to attach. The dealer I bought it from sold me a hardware pack which was about $45 that I didn't need.
