This is my 2017 Ford F-150 XLT that has a 2.5" Leveling kit and 35" tires directly off of a Raptor! The leveling kit is a Mammoth Off-Road Level Kit. The tires are 35" BFG AT/KO2 Tires!

I thought it was a video on 35i ch tires and how they fit, not overall truck review.
Is there any noise when braking, like when the ABS is activated?
This is my exact set up and I love it. no rubbing at all.
Do you have the FX4 as well? I have a 15 XLT and keep getting different feedback on if it will work without cutting or rubbing and trying to figure out if maybe the FX4 makes a difference at all.
@@travismayer6536 Yes I have the FX4, mine is a 2018 FX4 Lariat 502a with the mammoth 2.5" leveling kit. I didn't have to trim anything and there is no rubbing at all. I'm very happy with this set up. If you keep your eye out, you can pick up new raptor wheels and tires for around $1,200.
@@brandonkoon3441do you know if a 2” level using billsteins (no pucks) would suffice to allow the raptor wheels/tires to fit too?
I have a 2017 stx which came with the 20 inch wheels. I’m afraid of rubbing but love the way 35s look with a level. 33 isn’t enough tire, on 20in wheels especially.
i want to install this wheels in my xl truck 2015 but id read some forums saying that if i put this wheels im gonna need to change the gear ratios.. any opinion about it?

Did you have to trim your inside plastic? The raptor rims and tires 35s fit fine with a 2 inch level kit? Just asking because I have a 2010 f150 4X4 lariat supercrew and I’m planning on putting a leveling kit with the same raptor rims just don’t know what tire size would fit
Looks like a lariat didn't know you could get a xlt with console shift and paint matched bumper or sunroof

any trimming or other mods required to fit those tires? I've been told they simply wont fit with just a 2.5 inch level.

Great review. And thank you for acknowledging the headlight-blinding-other-drivers issue that so many owners ignore. If you are putting on a leveling kit, adjust your headlights. And, if you are going to haul payload or tow a lot, don't do a leveling kit. It just makes no sense to take away the unloaded stance and make a loaded stance when empty only to load it down and make the backend squat a couple more inches and have your truck dragging it's butt like a wormy dog across the lawn. Ha.
I don’t adjust my headlights so that I’m just as much of a douche as everyone with their super bright halogen low beams. I will even blast them with my light bar if they high beam me.
I have the same truck except I went for the XL version instead of the XLT. No chrome, black mirror housing, blacked out grill, and vinyl interior. To each their own but in my opinion XL offers the most flexibility for modifications later on.
Love the leveled out look on these! Now if it had tow mirrors and the 6.5 foot bed itd be the exact spec I would get for myself
35x12.5 r17 will fit in f150 platinum 2015 with a leveling kit?
Hey bud, love your content. Was wondering if you could suggest a wheel with the same offset as a Raptor wheel? I have a 2017 2.7 v6, love it, don’t ever want to get rid of it. I love the way your truck stands and would really like to replicate it.

I have a 2015 f150 with 245/70r17 original tires, what is the biggest all terrain tire I can use with the same rim? 265/70r17, 285/70r17? I don’t want to lift the truck.

Did you have to do any trimming for adding the 35" Tires on the 2017 F150? Are you planning to correct/toon your computer for the new tire size/auto shifting?
Wil Spaulding When you change bigger tires you need to calibrator speed tool. It will automatically change gears. It will cost a little bit more fuel for urban and less fuel for hight way. You will feel your car lighter and quieter when you attach raptor wheel on f150. so raptor wheel they have two option index 315/70 / 17r 113T with maximun 45psi and 315 / 7017r 121S with 65psi. There will be no need to cut anything. no rub

2wd or 4wd ?
I wish I could get a new set of wheels on my truck. I have a 2012 xlt. It is my first truck and the guy before me spray painted. It is a grey extended cab with the same wheels as the STX. But spray painted and I am trying to get the paint off while keeping them stock so I do not have to damage the finish on the wheels.

I have a 2013 Ford F150 FX4 Super Cab 5.0L Coyote and running (2020) Raptor Wheels with the LT315/70R17
BF Goodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2's and looking for a 4" lift I can use with this setup. Are there any lifts that will allow you to run the "OEM" 17" wheels? Theses are the +34 offsets. Thanks for any info you can offer!

I need real snow chains (no cables, full square or twisted link chains) for off road use. How much offset do I need to remove to fit them? Stock offset is 44mm and there is only about 1/2" of suspension clearance. I'm thinking that 24mm offset wheels would give just over an inch of room, that's plenty for decent chains.

Nothing! Zero modifications other than the level kit!
Will the level kit void the warranty for stuff like ball joints cv axles front differentials etc.?

Raptor is +34 or +35mm offset, stock is +44mm

Did you regear your axles? no power loss? aren't revs to high in highway (65 mph)? I'm changing my 32's stock tires to a 34's with a 2.5" leveling kit on a '17 F150 Supercrew 4X4 3.5 ecoboost, so it will be very helpful your experience.

yeah, just remove like 10-ish bolts and the piece basically falls off. there is a large plastic piece that kinda supports the air damn in the middle, but i just bent it backwards so it doesn't stick down. i picked up a few nuts from Lowes and then put the bolts back into the holes they came out of so it looks like something is missing. literally a 10 minute job (not counting the trip to lowes of course)

I don't understand what is so surprising. They have fit 35' for the last 3 generations, but I think you should have gone with Bilstein 5100 shocks instead of the block.
You’re right, it would’ve been nice to go with the better suspension... but I truly wanted it leveled for as cheap as possible. It’s a lease.
@@TCcustoms_ that makes sense. I had a block on my 2004 and I've done Bilstein on my 2011 and my 2016. So much better.. if you get the urge to switch it up, it's worth the $400

Oh wow, didn't realize this is the Town and Country in Alabama that I bought my truck from haha. Doesn't the FX4 come with a higher ride height than standard trims? If so then I'm assuming these 35" wouldn't fit my STX with a 2" leveling kit
No it doesn't and yes they will.

Any follow up on the Mammoth kit? I am trying to decide whether to go with the leveling blocks or the Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks. Hope all is well with the family.
Did you have to put the tire sensors in the raptor wheels from your originals? I’m wanting to put a set on my 07 f150 with the 2.5 level kit, but didn’t know about the wheel sensors.

Just now seeing your comment. We cover the wheels and tires in the video, but here are the answers to your questions. ZERO modifications to the crash bars. The wheels are ACTUAL pull-offs from a raptor. So they are 17” wheels. And the tires are 35X12.5R17.

Did you regear the truck to 4.10 or 4.56 gears? What did your truck come with from the factory? Did you get the speed calibrated or transmission to even out the shifts to accommodate for the larger tires?
I have 3.55’s from the factory. I did not re-gear, and I really don’t need to. The Speedo is off by 5mph when doing 70mph.

no, you have to do at least 2" level or they wont fit
What size is the rim? What is the tire size? Raptors appear to have different options.
Raptor has only one option. 35x12.5 BFG wrapped around a 17” wheel.

Cause that is what I want to do cause I like more rubber on the road rather those 20'" rims that are on newer trucks today.
So again, those tires do ride very well and the truck handle well with those tires ??

Do you have any issues with the tonneau cover holding water? I bought a used factory cover for a 6.5' bed that came off a 2015 and it is completely waterlogged and very heavy.

I had to cut the front crash bars to fit. There will be rub on the plastic at full tilt. You can trim this if you wish as well.

Yes. You will HAVE to get at least a 2.5” leveling kit, or those tires will not fit.

Very nice. I had that exact same truck. Traded for a 2017 Tacoma (yes, yes...I know... :/ ) but I'm picking up a 2014 Fx4 (with the luxury package woohoo) in ingot silver next week. Just wanted to say that is a gorgeous truck and very well done with the Raptor take-offs. Are those from the current model year Raptor?
