    I apologize if the audio is not the best during the driving part of the video. My external mic I use for the GoPro would not work properly and the GoPro's internal mic sucks so I will get it better next time! 👊

    V8 engines are very underrated in the F150s of today. They need to pay more attention to this engine than they currently do.

      The ecoboost is the clear option because of the torque and mileage
      If you need more power than that you shouldnt get an f150 you need a f350 with diesel

    I have the F150 XLT 4x4 EcoBoost 2015. I have put 68k in two years. I run it 80miles in the morning and afternoon between 80 to 90 mph regularly. My truck has shown not one mechanical malfunction. I have the Hankook tires and rotating them regularly like your supposed too, showing normal wear, I won't have to change them for another 15k. I love my F150.. Highly recommend it!

    Most of the engine sound in the F150's for the last several years are simulated through the radio speakers. I own a 2016 F150 xl super cab 2.7 eco boost and I have been getting 19.8 to 21 mpg in town and 22.5 to 23 on hwy. I have a 4200 lb camper I pull and average 12.5 to 14 mpg pulling it. I like your videos, thanks for sharing.

      FishFind3000 my father has a 2008 5.4 and I have a 2011 3.5. And it's insane when you drive them back to back especially with trailers on the 3.5 eco just pulls forever thanks to the turbos.

    • @FishFind3000
      @FishFind3000 7 лет назад +1

      Garrett Dahl yea I towed once with the 5.4 it was a 6000lb equipment. Trailer and had crappy if any trailer brakes. Nothing build in that I could adjust. The new ones got all the bells and wissles. Integrated trailer brake, saw control, hill hold. I just about never tow but having it for that one time I did would have made it been a dream. I guess going in head first with a 18" trailer and 6k behind you does it well.

    • @FishFind3000
      @FishFind3000 7 лет назад +15

      jclaunch00 theres two but I don't see that as an issue. The ecoboost has been out for some time now and there haven't been any issues with the turbos. Plus I'm saving but over $800 a year on gas. Old truck barely got 14 new truck is 20. At 15k miles a year and average regular fuel being 2.50 for my area I'm burning 321.4 gallons less a year and that's $803.57. Two new turbos, right $406.89 left $441.28 that's only $848.17. That's only 44.60 out of pocket for the two turbos after the fuel savings have been applied. And that's only for 1 year. I know labor will probably be around $800 but the turbos don't go out every two years so I'm still coming out ahead anyway. Plus having more hp, more torque, more fuel economy. It's totally worth it. I loved the old engine but when this one is running you can hardly hear it. It's nice an quite to drive and more usable power since all the torque is at 2400rpm just above where I'm normally accelerating at. This way you can see where I'm coming from, I'm not trying to troll. There's are facts and this is legit info. Now you can compare.

    • @thatdamguy00
      @thatdamguy00 7 лет назад +13

      jclaunch00 Do you own one or are you just another hater who says dumb shit about turbo charged engines? Search the eco boost torture test sometime. I have owed a 5.4 and 3.5 eco boost and the 3.5 is superior in every way except the sound.

    I also bought a new 2015 F-150 XLT, Tuxedo Black. Mine is the Sport 4xx4 Edition. 5.0 V8. I love my truck. Never owned a Ford before Never owned a truck before. My rear window does not open. I I had to take my truck back to the dealer because the driver's door made a slight wind noise at highway speeds. They adjusted it. No problems. I also had one instance of the driver's side rear door, bottom latch sticking in the winter time. Mine opened fine, but the latch stuck closed, and the door would not catch to shut it. I sprayed silicone spray on the latch and it free'd it up. The engine is amazing. The 6 speed transmission is amazing. Especially in the Sport Mode. AV, didn't mention the ease of putting it into 4WD. It has 4 Hi and 4 Low, like most trucks, but in really pulls in 4 Low. You can also Lock the Rear Differential for a Posi-Trac mode when going 25 MPH or less, for some heavy duty pulling or climbing. I think it's really neat. Thanks for your video. --Ken, Columbus, Ohio

U can't compare it to the V8 as it beats it in every way. Fuel economy is crazy good so far but it's new and will get better as it breaks in a bit. All I know so far is that this F 150 renews my faith in Ford which I lost a few years ago. JMHO

    I have a '13 STX extended cab, v8, just turned over 30k miles. I love it. The tuxedo black color is awesome (that's what mine is). I can nearly go from Wichita, KS to Denver, CO on a single tank of gas, and have in fact made the return trip of 560 miles on just over 3/4 tank with a strong (40mph) tailwind. My main gripe is that there is almost zero storage in the center arm rest, and that little electrical gremlins are starting to appear. Sometimes the window controls do not respond, and sometimes the audio track select function glitches. That aside, the truck has been reliable and quite enjoyable. It tows very well and gave me no trouble, even at over 10,000' elevation. It also survived a hail storm that absolutely destroyed my neighbor's car- it got some dings, but was still driveable. FYI my mom was in a wreck nearly a year ago with an F150 extended cab (looked identical to mine) that ran a red light going 70, and the truck's driver walked away with only a bruise. My elderly mom wasn't so lucky (she survived, but nearly lost a leg when the truck tore the front end off her car).

    I own a 2015 Ford F150 Platinum with the 3.5 Ecoboost. Other than one computer issue, and the windshield camera getting replaced, it has been a great truck. It has the ruby red paint with the tinted clear coat. It's the best factory paint job I've seen on a production vehicle. I had a 2014 F150 with the 5.0 engine. I bought it for the sound as well however, once I got the Ecoboost, I was sold. The torque makes this truck crazy fast, especially in sport mode. Love that option too!!! I hope the turbos holdout when the mileage reaches 100K and beyond. Being a Ford fan, I like the Ford reviews. But being a car junky, I like your test drives of other vehicles as well. Nice work!!

    I bought a ford f 150 back in 2002, I still drive it today. 190,000 miles. Yes I keep them till the wheels fall off and I cannot bolt them back on, I am going to buy my last Truck very soon, I have an old 4.2. This time I want a 5.0. What bothers me more than anything about my Truck is the rust. Looks like I wont have that problem with the new models. Anyways nice video. Looks like with twin grand kids coming, Ill be after the super cab. The extended wont due

    Here is my review of my 2017 F 150 Supercrew Cab 4x4 V8...
    We have just leased/bought the 2017 Version, of this above truck with these differences-
    SuperCrew Cab- Get the 4 door, seats fold up in back, unbelievable amount of room...lots of leg room-
    Black Cloth, with center console inside, I highly recommend this 'Sport' package... I am 6' 2" 215 lb I fit nice, and I can stretch out my legs under the pedals in cruise control to just stretch the legs on a long drive without stopping...
    Nav System, is/was on sale with a $500 rebate so Net price of $250 very sweet, and the touch screen is really easy...
    My only wish, is that Nav would be more user friendly, for passenger to operate when in motion. The Nav/Info/Radio/Phone Sync is all geared to only a driver's use, so that might be my only minus on whole truck...
    Towing in Tow mode- Your brakes may last forever! The Trans downshifts to hold your speed where you want it, climbing, or descending a hill... it's really awesome, cruise control, and just point it where you want to go! Really computer controlled even you old guys will be impressed [hey I be old also] ... [Truck has 3 trans modes, Sport/Tow/Regular on the superb 6 speed]
    Cab Space- Larger inside than my 'Old' F-350 1997 Crew Cab how they did that? IDK...
    Ride- very nice, not truck like, not car like just right... very comfortable on a cross country road trip...
    Quiet inside, almost no road noise...
    4x4 Mode- towed a trailer in soft sand, and I was impressed... worked perfect...
    Towing MPG's- we got 12-13.5 mpg's when towing a Max Weight Trailer... Expected, lower MPG's... What I didn't expect, was the "Extra" available towing power for any hill, or wind condition. My Truck has balls, and plenty of power to spare, in any instance...
    That in itself, is a sales point for the V8...I do not believe an EcoBoost v6 twin turbo would exhibit more torque up hill power... really-awesome...I am really surprised at the HP/Torque available to my right foot, any time I needed it!
    Trailer Brake Control- Located right at your right knee/hand location. Perfect spot, even though I didn't need to grab any extra trailer braking above and beyond the normal needs, I was ready on a long hill. The dash lay out is perfect. The accent colors match and look great...not pieced together from different accents... Really well thought out...
    Black Paint-Shadow Black... I bought some Carnuba Wax and used orbital buffer for a shine to kill for! Beautiful! It pays to seal any paint...The Ford Shadow Black- Really Beautiful...
    The Twin Panel Moon roof- My woman wanted one- This truck came equipped with one. It is awesome, except when you leave it open in a sand storm overnight...haha on me...
    We drove from Central NY State, to S. Ca... an over 7400 mile ... round trip....
    And am already planning my next cross country trip...
    We, LOVE this truck, it has exceeded our expectations !
    Good Job Ford... I can not imagine a better truck for my needs...

    Had a 1998 F-150 Ext. Cab and put 345,000 miles on it and no problems. Just regular maintenance, oil, breaks, minor things. Bought a new 2010 same model. Still, no problems, no encounters which were negative. Agree with you on your points. However, I have only one major criticism of this vehicle's mirrors--and other trucks like them--the distortion built into the mirrors drives me crazy when attempting to hitch a trailer, back to a garage door, or try to fix my position when backing. Get rid of those mirrors and replace with standard mirrors and the truck would be a marvel.

    I have a 1995 F150 XLT 4x4 4.9L (300 In line 6 banger) the best engine Ford ever made, and no growl. O well, I gave up Varoom for the can't kill engine. You have a cool truck, but the 4 door will be the best for you for your GROWING family. To bad the 4.9 is not in production anymore. You nor your stepdaughter will never live long enough to wear it out. Ford trucks are the toughest longest lasting trucks on the road. Don't let dodge or government motors change you. Ford is the right choice!!!!!!!

    Bought my last Ford F-150. Had 3 F150's with 5.0 in past 8 years. All three had the classic 5.0 issue with exhaust manifold leak. Of course, Ford knew of this issue for years and never addressed it other than changing the motor in 2012's.
    After dealer told me that my last Ford had the issue and would cost a fortune to repair, I took the truck to a Ram dealer to trade it in. Love my new Ram!!!

    The engine sound is completely manufactured by "tuning" the intake and exhaust plumbing. It's great to see you enjoy it so much, you are likely a highlight real at several marketing meetings. Glad you enjoy the truck, not trolling, just stating a fact you may not be aware of, you can "tune" almost any engine's sound.

    Just came across your video absolutely love your commentary very detailed and gone out I just sold my 2013 Dodge Ram with 120,000 miles on it due to a major engine problem I'm now on my second Ford and I've had my last one gave me almost 300,000 miles with no issues I bought a 2017 XLT SuperCrew with the 5.0 as well four-wheel drive with the lift kit from the factory I have to say it holds its own I love the 500 coming from a Hemi I was skeptical but this truck is proved itself absolutely amazing machines, love my truck I don't think I'll ever have anything besides a Ford again. Just wanted to say I love your video and clean ride I love the front ends on them and it's kind of sad to see the V8 slowly dying and being replaced by Ecoboost V6 has you can't beat V8 power and reliability if you do decide to get you an exhaust I'm going to put a super 44 and true duals ran out the back that sound wickedly mean
