The Husky full coverage floor mats (front and rear) for the F 150, are far superior to the Weathertech. I’ve had both and the coverage is better and the rubber is softer.
Awesome honest video sir ! Thank you for showing the difference in leveling kits also. Good info. The red carpet lease is a good option depending on the individual or business use. Any idea what you are going to get next?
The weather techs have been great for me. I did notice on my previous vehicle they started to curl after 5 years but that was bc something was lifting the mat up causing it to hit the door and roll. Other than that they’re great and give more of an up scale look (My Platinum isn’t used as my work truck) than the husky mats which to me are more for a work truck and seem great for working throwing tools and other stuff across them
Hi Mitchell, 2019 F-150 XLT LEASED 2.7 Eco boost. Wow,I agree with EVERYTHING you stated! My salesman, here in Virginia, stated it's (leasing) the best way to survive the Personal Property Tax (1% of the Blue Book Value collected every October), I still pay it, but its divided it 36 little instead of 3 big payments. As you stated, I have only added a soft cover (non-Ford, but recommended by my salesman (he has the same one!)),the adapters, (to hold, and) the bed folding partition. If I buy my next F-150 2.5 years from now, I'm coming to Alabama, to get it customized, by my FAV non-Virginia FORD dealership! Keep those excellent Vids, coming!
Yuppp, currently looking for a tundra to lift, BUT IM NOT BUYING ANOTHER MANS PROJECT. Seems like half the tundras for sale in my area have some sort of lift if its in a limited/platinum trim. Worst part of it all is i found a really clean 2018 limited in cement gray that was lifted with only 15,000 miles for $30,000. Until that point i was just shopping but i was getting ready to go see the truck on my one day off of work when i looked back at the listing, mfs didnt include the price of the lift and wheels in the price. Mfs wanted $7000 and the worst part too the rims alone were half that cost so the lift is probably trash.
@@ALItm1 Most lift kits peak at around $3000, and this is for like 6"-7" lift kits, unless were talking 12" Bulletproof lift kits which cost $7500+. $7,000 is actually pretty high for wheels and tires, sounds like a good lift and wheels. I would assume like a 6" BDS lift kit and some fuel wheels on 35's. Common set up.
MYFB only issue is i havent seen the suspension through the photos and I told myself if they dont wanna show the lift then fuckit. I test drove a 2014 that was lifted 6 inches and the alignment was off. I’m in southern california so the “nobody can align my truck” excuse dont work. I’d rather pick the best lift to suit my needs and rims that I personally chose for a stock truck. Not trying to say don’t buy a lifted truck however cause some people in the truck game sell their clean trucks just to get another one to start all over again. But from what I’ve seen and heard from friends your taking a huge risk buying a used vehicle thats been modified, now I’m not a pussy by any means but i wanted the crew cab for my family and no way im even letting them get in a truck with a sketchy suspension setup
I lived in Birmingham for 18 years so I enjoyed and missed the narrator's accent. Now we live in the Colorado mountains where we can get storms that drop multiple feet of snow. We keep our trucks stock height which is good enough to handle any snow, dirt roads, and basic off-road trails. Unless you want to travel on knarly trails like Moab, or drive through water, the only benefit of lifting/raising your truck and slapping on huge wheels is bragging rights. Leasing is always a mistake unless you are getting a vehicle you are sure you don't want. Leasing is not ownership, you are just borrowing the vehicle. You never make any modifications to a leased car beyond replacing the tires if they wear out and inserting a phone charger in the cigarette lighter. It isn't your vehicle! The real owner, the leasing company, will financially punish you for messing with their vehicle. Even if you don't modify the vehicle you will be financially punished if you dare exceed the limited miles they allot you. When the lease is up your life crashes if you don't replace the vehicle. But with no accrued value or trade-in many buyers fall into the leasing trap, significantly raising their vehicles costs over buying.
I once had a guy bring me a lift kit for install and the look on his face when he received the factory parts was priceless. 😳 Edit: He didn’t expect to have a chunk of his trucks frame cut off. “What if I wanted to put it back to stock later down the road?” 💆♂️
Excellent video. I always learn more about these trucks and feel more prepared to make a decision. I am waiting to pay in full for a f150 new or lightly used. Definitely going with the 5.0 V8
Great Video Mitchell about the leveling and about carrying over the products still fitting. I have the same year 2017 F150 Super Crew 5.0L Coyote Ruby Red truck. Which I can't wait to share a video with you with the Magnaflow black tip before the tire exhaust on it. Best truck I've owned to date and I have 36,500 miles on mine!
From what I’ve watched in other lift kit install how to’s , it’s only the 4WDs that need cutting not the 2WDs cause with 4WD u have to lower the front differential so therefore cutting is required.
I can't drive a lifted truck. My F-150 as it is barely clears the height marker for the parking garage where I work (with the antenna brushing against it every time).
Have you thought about getting a smaller antenna? All though I use mine almost as a pre determining factor to tell if I’m going to risk it or not. Granted with my tires and lift I’m maybe 7 inches higher
Cut the antenna to the exact height of your truck. Then it will be a true “test” when driving in a out of garages and you’ll know if you’re going to clear it or not!
Awesome video! I love lifted trucks with big 6in and 8in and even 12in lifts but for me, for who I am, In college and wanting to save money, I only put a 4in lift kit on my 2018 XLT F150. I waned the coil-overs, but the price was too much, and even more so, I didn't need them.
Because F150’s hold their value so well, I don’t see how leasing makes any financial sense. I’d take out a loan and in 3 years sell it for more than owed on it.
STX/XLT trims do NOT hold their value well at all, because there are TONs of them out there. I do agree that Lariats and up do hold their value better, especially Platinums. Leasing a vehicle just depends on your financial situation. Granted, it's not for everyone. Vehicles are depreciating assets anyway. You're not going to be making any money trading/selling a vehicle unless it's a special make. I made $1k selling my Shelby GT500 after owning it a year, but again, it was a private sell/special case.
E Y untrue. There are a ton of factors that determine what you make on a vehicle. I bought an 06 2 door rubicon with 20k miles and barely drove it and traded it in 3 years later when i owed 4k on it and they gave me 15. I now have a 4runner that not only holds excellent value, but has a lift and other mods that will make it extremely attractive to a private party when i sell it after its paid off
E Y so what i’m saying is as long as you never go upside down on a vehicle, always maintain equity and trade/sell when you have the most equity you’ll have, you can keep trading up

I bought a new XLT back in 2017. I had a warranty claim at 2500 miles with the drivers seat fabric starting to fuzz up on the door side leading edge. Put some seat savers on it after the repair and 55k on the clock now I’m still happy with my purchase. The auto start/ stop and 10 speed transmission on the newer F150’s will keep me out of the new truck market for a long time.

Yes since your a ford dealer I put 2.5 inch leveling kit on my f 150 FX4 they told me when I went for oil change that if I ever have anything part go bad on the front end the warranty won’t cover because all the stress that puts on it
For a Ford rep and not utilizing the 100% residual on ford accessories up to $2500 on lease pickups is crazy. Also the ford performance level lift is a great product.

How about a video on the advantages and disadvantages of lifting a truck. Seems like you destroy the truck’s designed ability to tow and haul things with these lifts.
Good video, but my question is if your truck didn’t have a lift kit, would you have problems with that size of your tires? Would those tires touch your fender and chasis?
I got the 2018 f150 xlt, 302A, 5.0, fx4 in magnetic, crew cab, and it's great. everything I want and more, just no leather and cooled seats, oh well lol, love the truck and wont trade it - unless for a heavy duty tremor....hahah
What brand was the tonneau cover on your truck? You only said it was hard trifold but not the brand. Because mine doesn't come off that easy lol Didn't realize there was one that does.
You are dead on it! That’s exactly what I”m going to do! I may keep the leveling kit on the truck since I don’t really care too much for it. But the factory wheels and tires are going right back on it.
used to have a fabtech 6" on my Silverado crew. Looked great with 315's but after a few years all those chassis parts wear out. Joints, bearings all take a licken. Have leveled FX4 stock F150 .. Won't ever lift another truck
HEY?!?!? Does your truck exhibit any whistling from the ac at 65mph+??? I have a 2017 FX4 all stock and have a quite noticeable whistle from the AC at speeds over 65mph. It is most annoying in a strong crosswind.
You should do a F150 vs. Ranger video. In the market for a new truck. Just can’t see the value of getting a ranger when for the same money I can get a decent F150
I feel you man, I have a toddler and my Husky liners have given me my money's worth in my '13 Fx4 crewcab from spilled sippie cups and snacks! judging by your back seat with 3 car seats I am sure you have to!
I don't lift my truck because of a simple convenient reason - I need to get into parking lots with 6'8" height limit - in malls or office buildings. It is hard to find street parking here in LA...plus, getting into parking lot is essential in some situation.
Adding that 2.5 inch leveling kit -- does that VOID the FORD warranty at all? And, will FORD still cover all the front end parts still IF that kit is put in? Does it matter who puts it in? Or, for FORD to cover it, does a FORD dealership have to put it in? I have a 2019 that I want to put that in -- still only have 2800 miles on it.
It doesn't technically void your warranty, but even if FORD says the issue was caused by the leveling kit, BDS will step in and cover the warranty issue!
No problems with it that I’ve experienced! I had ONE glitchy 2020 super duty.... but a software update fixed that one. They’ve been pretty good on F_150’s
They're a little clunky down low around parking lots and stuff. Other than that I've been really happy with the 10 speed in mine with the 5.0. I regularly pull a 7x16 enclosed and it always keeps it in good power.
The weather tech mats don’t fit worth a damn considering how much they cost. My wife has a set in her Cherokee, the mats that came with my truck were less than $100 and they fit exceptionally better
Me: Why i drive a Slam Truck? Also me: Because I’m a truck ricer obviously with a Lease vehicle, you can’t do heavily mods on it. There are limited OEM mods that you can get from the factory such as tonneau covers, bed liner, bug shield, and windows deflectors.
I like my warranty, which is 6 years and 60,000 miles. So I'm not doing anything until I own the truck and the warranty lapses. Also, everything works perfectly, just like it was designed.
If you don't need a lift... don't lift. Its that simple. Lifting can be very useful for some purposes. It just makes you ride higher and more top heavy if you never actually do something that needs the lift.
I dont need a new truck with all that crazy tech. I have a few cars and a 05 f150 xlt front level kit wheels from a 2012 f250 and the engine and trans is rebuilt with 10k on it.
Some people like being able to use their beds. Also, I have original ball joints and rod ends at 218,000 miles, which will not happen on a lifted truck.
That’s false... people just need a drop hitch. A lift doesn’t affect any ability to tow actually believe it or not when you raise the back you help the towing by giving more room for the leaf springs to flex.
Rubbish. You just need a dropped reciever to match your trailer and make sure your trailer is level and loaded properly. Used to pull 4 quads on a car trailer at 75 mph everywhere I went.
The Husky full coverage floor mats (front and rear) for the F 150, are far superior to the Weathertech. I’ve had both and the coverage is better and the rubber is softer.

I like the Rough Country mats. Got them on sale from AT for 89 $. And bought the water proof seat covers as well for 179. Also for xlt f150 crew cab.

Good video, but my question is if your truck didn’t have a lift kit, would you have problems with that size of your tires? Would those tires touch your fender and chasis?
Yes. Without the leveling kit, you can NOT run that tire size.
It is the Ford Hard Trifold. www.tccustoms.com/collections/bed-cover-1/products/ford-accessories-hard-tri-fold-bed-cover-2015-2020-f-150-5-5-bed
Thank you for another excellent video! Subscribed!
Where do I go to get these wheels and tires I love them!!!
Raptor take offa and the tires pretty much anywhere.
Read about oil consumption in the 5.0. You had or seen any issues at your dealership? Considering this and two other truck brands.
32k miles on my 18 5.0 and 10 speed with 0 issues or oil consumption.
Dude that's a great Microphone . Not any wind noise.
I would like to hear about that 2020 Explorer
Had several lifted trucks, 2 sd and 1 chevy, but now im lowering my 2020 f150 sport 😉
so i assume when your lease is up that you put original wheels and tires back on and remove level kit?
You are dead on it! That’s exactly what I”m going to do! I may keep the leveling kit on the truck since I don’t really care too much for it. But the factory wheels and tires are going right back on it.
@@TCcustoms_ so there is no issue with the leasing company saying that you altered suspension and want to charge fees or anything like that?
@@mgdiddy9466 they don't even notice or care, about like tinting the windows or other small mods
What are your thoughts on lowered/dropped F-150’s? Texas 👌
used to have a fabtech 6" on my Silverado crew.
I love your channel! I have a 2020 explorer st I’m curious about the problems with your wife’s problems if possible
I feel you man, I have a toddler and my Husky liners have given me my money's worth in my '13 Fx4 crewcab from spilled sippie cups and snacks! judging by your back seat with 3 car seats I am sure you have to!
Do you have three car seats in the back? I have 3 kids and need to have enough room in the back to fit 3 car seats
Yes. I have three car seats in the rear. It’s more convenient than my wife’s explorer for long trips with the kids.
Thank you!
I don't lift my truck because of a simple convenient reason - I need to get into parking lots with 6'8" height limit - in malls or office buildings. It is hard to find street parking here in LA...plus, getting into parking lot is essential in some situation.
Have you driven the same truck with the 10 speed much? How do find it compares? Hearing lots of people talking about it constantly hunting gears.
Great video! I’d love to know what your gas milage is with those 35s and leveling kit
I loved this video, great truck!
I'm shopping Explorer ST and Bronco. Hopefully, the 21 Explorer will be better.
I'm not a ford guy but, I actually enjoyed your video and honesty. 🤙
Thanks bro! We don’t hate! Really, deep down we love all cars and trucks! But don’t tell anyone! 🤫🤭😂
Boxlink, Apart from those loops, is there anything else you can use it for? Liking the rails on the Ram and Tundra
Yes. You can buy an accessory for bed dividers. You can hang ramps on them (for 4wheelers, and side by sides). Etc. etc.
A real good video like the leveling kit on your truck , I wood like one on my . At my age I don't dress to impress I do what I like .
Is your audio recording into your phone which you hold in your pocket?
No. We have the Rode Wireless Go. It’s a wireless microphone that records directly into the camera. (If makes for easier editing afterwards.)
What’s your honest opinion on the 10 speed transmission?
No problems with it that I’ve experienced! I had ONE glitchy 2020 super duty.... but a software update fixed that one. They’ve been pretty good on F_150’s
They're a little clunky down low around parking lots and stuff. Other than that I've been really happy with the 10 speed in mine with the 5.0. I regularly pull a 7x16 enclosed and it always keeps it in good power.
I wouldn't lift the front. They are raked in the front for a reason when I tow a trailer it levels out at the perfect height
To fit those 35’s on my 17 XLT I think I’d have to cut my front crash bars, eh?
so what's the better option mammoth or bds levelling kit?
What motor do you have?
I had the exact truck with the 5.0 and the exact miles on it and totaled it last week 😔😪
City folks love their lifted trucks.
Why do you care if they are from the city with a lifted truck?
The weather tech mats don’t fit worth a damn considering how much they cost. My wife has a set in her Cherokee, the mats that came with my truck were less than $100 and they fit exceptionally better
You didn’t say which tonneau cover you use.
Me: Why i drive a Slam Truck?
Also me: Because I’m a truck ricer
obviously with a Lease vehicle, you can’t do heavily mods on it. There are limited OEM mods that you can get from the factory such as tonneau covers, bed liner, bug shield, and windows deflectors.
I'm not into the whole lifted truck scene, your truck looks just right
What’s going on with the Ecco boost f150s oil pan leak? Can you cover that? I have a 2017 3.5L 39,000 miles and leaking
Well...its a Ford 😁
I like my warranty, which is 6 years and 60,000 miles. So I'm not doing anything until I own the truck and the warranty lapses. Also, everything works perfectly, just like it was designed.
If you don't need a lift... don't lift.
Its that simple.
Lifting can be very useful for some purposes.
It just makes you ride higher and more top heavy if you never actually do something that needs the lift.
I dont need a new truck with all that crazy tech. I have a few cars and a 05 f150 xlt front level kit wheels from a 2012 f250 and the engine and trans is rebuilt with 10k on it.
i lifted my raptor omg best thing i ever did i probably get 2-3 times more stares and thumbs up . i got strut spacers too because i dont jump
I bet you didn't gain any wheel travel. Lifting a Raptor is a waste of money, unless you just need affirmation from other men. 😉
What do you pay for lease? I have 2019 loaded xlt msrp 59k ish 2 year 13500 a year 500.00 down payment is 385 with tax.
Same truck as yours, but 2016.
Im sorry but I believe lifted trucks just give the trucks more character and bigger looking
Its arrogance. Trying to be someone they are not. Real off roaders drive old jeeps and toyotas
Some people like being able to use their beds. Also, I have original ball joints and rod ends at 218,000 miles, which will not happen on a lifted truck.
Lifted Trucks Degrade the Truck's ability to Tow and Haul safely
I don’t have any problems I have a 6 inch lift on my 1999 F-250 crew cab with a 7.3L with a 6 speed manual and I pull a 9,000 pound camper.
*Can any of you Geniuses tell us why this Ford pickup towing a 5th wheel trailer Crashed?*
