Dude this is so cool! Looking forward to getting a few once they're in stock again. This opened up a new option for those of us who have detolf and book shelves that display figures in. Great video and truly helpful!
*Looks nice for extra **MyseIf.Furniture** kitchen storage. Matches with oak cabinets and oak floor. Took my friend and I about 2 hours to assemble. Worth the price. We are pleased.*
This looks so much better than either other kits I've seen or anything I could cobble together myself, definitely nabbing the kit when they're in stock (this set up is honestly pretty much what I had come up with to make from scratch before determining it was not cost effective to make just one due to minimum quantities on all the various bits, glad to find someone making it)
Those translucent wires basically loop out from the bottom front door gap and goes to the back of the cabinet or to wherever your USB adapter are. We worked with a wire factory to have these wires fabricated for us specially for detolf and they work great in blending to give that "wire-less" feel :)
@@wilsono.4920 Hi! While there is no instructions, our setup are fabricated for ease of installation. 1) Paste the led strips into the bracket and cover back the diffuser cover. 2) Apply own adhesive on the bracket and paste the whole bracket on the lower front edge of all shelves with the cover facing inwards. 3) Tidy up the the wires onto the side grey pole of the detolf with the included zip ties.
Amazing setup man! It looks so good with the white background. Thank you so much for this review. I'm hoping they add wifi controllers and RGB options for their lights in the future. If they do I'm sold!
Great info! Just built my first Detolf. Initially clicked away from this video because it wasn't using the LED strips. Watched another video with the U-shape LED strips through the entire unit and it looked BAD. Came back here, and I'll be ordering Luke Lights as soon as they're restocked! Thanks for this!
Hello, May I know the LED lighting also purchased in IKEA? What is the model number n name? And the strip that you show to cover the side wires is what type of material? Where to purchase it ya? Thank you.
Great video. Cleanest Detolf set up I’ve seen to date. Icy white lights, aluminium channels with diffuser are the way to go. What’s the name of the unit that you are using to rise those 4 Detolfs up?
I'm curious as to how you supplied power to these lights. Did you daisy chain everything together into one power supply? Surely each light doesn't require it's own supply right? I just picked up two DETOLF shelves for the first time, so this video was extremely...enlightening.
Yeah, I was also wondering about the power source. How do people get a cable for power into these cabinets? I also have two and have been wondering about lighting because the figures don't look their best without it.
Yup, that's one of the reason on why we designed them to be powered by USB instead of typical cabinet lighting where they requires to occupy a wall socket on its own, our light kits are all powered by USB and they can be powered by plugging them into a USB Hub or adapter(not included), you can power multiple light kits on 1 USB hub that uses only 1 wall socket, as they are USB powered, they draw very minimum power and can be on for a long time.

Quick question...Did you start the lights at the top or bottom of the detolf? My Luke Lights arrived and am debating where to have all the cords go. Thanks!
Great video, thanks. This product seems like a good solution to lighting. Looks like it could be used in Ikea Billy cases without a lot of fussing. Also might be interesting to connect some of the strips through a dimmer. Thanks again for the video!
Do you have a tutorial on how you made the base for the detolfs to stand on ? I was thinking of using a ikea one but I’m concerned about weight, might need to reinforce them but at that point might as well make my own
Disappointed in this video because you didn't actually show us how to put them in !! you just explain it but you didn't actually show us how to do it like splitting that tape, which looks pretty hard and then exactly what are the cable tie things used for? I don't get it!? 🥺
I've been looking for lighting my 4 cabinets for over a year! I ordered today (they had 12 sets left). I'm so excited. Could you show how you plugged in the USB's to the wall?
Just found your video and bought these immediately after viewing. Thank you! Quick question, what are you using to raise your Detolf's above the ground? I'm having a hard time finding a good solution outside of DIY and that's just not going to happen lol.
Was so happy to finally get these in the mail today just to find out I needed to buy the brackets separately.. Time to wait another week. ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!
I love your videos and have 12 Hot toys ready to display. I just built 4 detolfs . I'm going to buy the V shaped brackets from Luke Light. What is your suggestion for colored LED lights for my detolf? I love having the ability to change colors.
RGB led using Red, Green & Blue chip to mimic colors using the 3 chips for wide range combination. While they offers million of color combination, they do not produce a true warm or white tone. RGB produce light yellow to replicate a warm feel therefore you will get a more yellowish feel on your figures while it uses light blue to replicate a white tone which often illuminate a hint of blue tone on your collectibles. A dedicated white or warm tone chip are required for the true color tone feel that a RGB led can't produce. Depend on your requirement & needs, if you required wide flexibility of colors as your main tone source, then RGB is the way to go.
I use small wire channels that fit in between the glass and the metal frame and run the wires through that out the bottom off a hole I drill out the bottom, the end result looks like the lights are wire less, no zip ties no wires showing.

First off thank you so much for this video. I went and got myself some luke lights and it is amazing! I have a question though. How are you routing the cable out of the cabinet? I had a hole drilled for my old diodr but they're too small to fit the usb through so now I have em just coming outta the side of the detolf at the front as a temporary thing.
How do you power these off? Are they app control do they work with smart devices? Cause with the wyze outlet before you’d be able to turn them off from your phone. I’m not sure if I missed you mentioning it
Hi JD, these are direct USB powered light kit, they are to be powered on/off directly from your wall socket source. They are intended as such due to the flexibility of able to plug your USB adapter into a seperate wifi plug where collectors like to control them via apps.
@@ASTRALEONofficial We had stop selling them quite sometime ago as they required a dedicated strip plug and 4 colored wires for fabrication which makes hiding them difficult. For now we are focusing on the 2 main color tones :)
