This was great man. I've been fantasising for the last week about what I'm going do with my new Moducases 😊
Hey! I shot you an email that Moducase should be reaching out via email on Monday!
@@thejediknightswatch Brill, just seen that. Thank you so much, exciting times 😊
One of the best collections out there is someone who mostly owns detolfs. Moducases are amazing for mini collections. Justice league, avengers etc. But as solo figures within a scene/ diorama, backdrop etc, has to be detolf. For me it's a tough choice as ideally need both. So probably go with a carpenter (cheaper) and have something that fits perfectly.
It’s a tough choice because they both do different things for sure!
Very nice! I wish I knew about these before I got the Detolfs. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Hi Jedi!!! Great video, you made a lot of good points. I have the Moducase Sixth series (sixth 1603) and I also have a couple of Detolf and I think they are both great. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching and for the feedback!🍻
Very informative. Great vid for anyone on the fence of which they should decide on. I just got a moducase in myself wish I had more. Lol
Thanks for watching! I myself need to get a couple DF cubes as well lol
Good video I am very limited on space only got room for 2 x single Billy cabinets but can fit 4 x 110 six scale moducases in that area so definitely going to make the switch
You won’t regret it!
I use Detols to display my Star Wars mini helmet collection. Dust isn't an issue, as each helmet comes in its own perspex case. If anything I need more because my helmets are stacked 2 high and 3 deep.
I’ve personally made the garage shelf mod. Looks really similar to moducase and in my opinion the view does looks better.
Oh nice :) was looking into doing this mod and hopefully buying an already built garage shelf so all id have to do is buy the acrylic panels
Omg really wanted this kind of video
Glad you liked it!😀
I have both as well a custom made shelf with a garage storage unit. I really love Moducase/Moduspace but hate the lead times on actually getting them. I still have one case I ordered a year ago I have not received yet but was told I will have it by September. My garage shelf display I modded will hold 650lbs per shelf. lol It's a double walled leg so you can't see the adjustment slots and in the end was way cheaper than my Moducase set up even with the massively thick glass I ordered for it. With Detolfs massive price increase it's not worth it anymore. And I have had one blow out the glass after 4 years for no apparent reason. Was fine and one day, boom. For the bottom shelf view on Moducase, I ordered a fridge riser from Amazon. It looks great if done right.
Damn, sounds like you have a nice setup!
Hi,
Can you please measure the thickness of the profile from which the showcase is built ? (height, width)
And what is the thickness of the plexiglass ?
Thank you very much for the information
Very good video, bro!
Many thanks my friend! Thank you for the support👊🏻😀
Great video. Watched the whole thing with my RUclips premium bud :)
Thanks dude! YT premium is def a must!
@The Jedi Knight 💥
I collect 1:1 busts exclusively, some with just the heads some with the chest included. What choice should I go with???
I'm also curious about this myself
Nice!❤
Thank you!
Nice video dude...just found your channel...new sub...I am wanting to make the jump to moducases soon...but my wallet says just keep buying figures...hahaha
Thanks so much for subscribing Corey! Lots of good content coming out soon! Its a tough decision to make, but I promise you will be happier in the long run!!
For the moducases which one did you get to fit all your marvel figures? I was looking on their website and there’s a whole bunch of sizes
Originally I had them in the Sixth110, but now they are in the DF120.
Hi mate, have u seen a display with moducase in the middle and detolfs on either side? How would that look?
I haven’t but I’m sure it might look cool!
how stable is your unit after stacking the fourth layer? are you using wall mounts at all?
I’m not using the wall anchors and it is very stable!
What'd you recommend for 1/4 and 1/5 statues? I'm currently collecting statues and Hot Toys, varying from 1/6 to 1/4 and larger. The larger stuff would be displayed separately probably, but for most of the 1/4th stuff: what'd you recommend that fits the rest of the displays if I were to go with either one of these for the 1/6th? Would the 6 series be good enough, you think?
From the sound of the video, I'd say you prefer Detolf for 1/4 and Moducases for 1/6 line-ups?
I would recommend the Moducase DF series. I’ve upgraded to them and they work great for 1/6 but allow enough room for 1/4 statues as well!
@@thejediknightswatch great, thanks for the swift reply! Any examples in a recent video perhaps? I'd love to see them in action. Moving to a new house with a separate room fo this in 2 months so it's full-on planning phase at this point, haha.
@@richardbell7898 a couple of my newer videos show the display with the DF120s and how I moved things around.
The black frame kills the view of looking at the items being displayed.
Do you have much experience mixing Sixth & DF series moducase together? Or would you stick to just the single style?
I wouldn’t mind adding some DF to fit my vehicles in down the road.
If you mean mixing them by stacking it wouldn’t work as they are different sizes.
@@thejediknightswatch Thanks for the response! And that makes a lot of sense :)
My main concern is that I have a few 50~60cm statues that won't fit in Sixth, but they otherwise appear a lot more cost effective. Perhaps the shelving in the DF works well. I'd love to see a review of 1/6 scales with the DF half shelves if you ever get any!
The price difference between a detolf and moducase is huge. This is not a question of choice its whether a collector can actually afford a moducase. This video is like here's a mazda, and here's a ferrari.
Depends how you look at it. Detolf is $130 plus the lights, light mounting items and weatherstripping. You are close to around $200. Sixth 110 case will cost you $270 I believe. IMO it’s worth the extra cost
Detolfs got the look. Moducases looks like the shelves in my garage
Haha they aren’t for everyone😃
Would this work for a 1/6 car?
It depends on the car. The sixth110 cases will fit an 89 batmobile but not the tumbler. You would need a larger Moducase.
What kind of shelves have you put your Detolfs on? I'm afraid to put them on shelves because they might break.
I was too so I made my own custom base.

@@thejediknightswatch That's actually a really good idea. Most of the stuff from Ikea probably won't hold, so making something yourself out of real materials would work a lot better me thinks.
Might be a stupid question but I want to stack 4 modu but they have to be about an inch away from my wall. Will I be ok?
I’ve stacked 4 sixth110 case high and they were stable. I had two rows that were fastened together and it was good!
@@thejediknightswatch what did u use to fasten them
@@michaelsenchy7386 ruclips.net/video/lj68jKW7IXE/видео.htmlsi=Em6W6DN8gqp41PNL
They come with the pieces needed to lock them together
What’s the moducase u have in the back thanks
They are all sixth110
Moducase is great, but do I really want to wait 8 months to receive one?
It’s def better if you can plan ahead and order before you need it. It’s a big investment that will hopefully be your last display case.
Which lights do you recommend going with for moducase ?
Always the led strip lights. They provide a more even light for the case
@@thejediknightswatch thanks I appreciate it! switching to moducase and you’ve been a big help 🙏🏽
@@bUnkkErr congrats on the switch! You won’t be let down!
New detolf now have an 8 pound weight limit
Thanks for the info!
I have almost 300 1:6 figures (MODUCASE IS MY CHOICE) for room space
Nice choice my friend!
Now detolf cost like 130 so with lighting it probably cost you around 200 so moducase on blackfriday sale etc is much better option I guess.
Yeah that’s true! When I started collecting detolfs were $60!
I like to build my own custom displays
That’s always an option as well.
I just checked on ikea and the detolfs are now going for $130 😮😢
Yep! Inflation is crazy! Once you have it lit up you are looking at close to $200
the Moducases look way better, but that pricetag is insane. Shopping for a display case shouldn't cut into my funds for collectibles
It’s good that there are a lot of options out there for displaying😃
Depends what you're collecting.
I have a statue that cost me 4,000$ USD. It's the prime 1 studios NieR:Automata 1/4 diorama.
My moducase just got here 2 days ago and I put it all together. It was a little under 400$. That's 10% of my statues value. 10% investment for as good of protection as I could ask from hazards, dust proof, amazing lighting and display ability, cable management, big enough to fit a giant turntable inside.
For someone that collects really high pricetag statues, these cases should be no Brainers. It's the obvious choice to buy a moducase if you're buying that kind of expensive stuff.
It's also just great for the size of these figures. There's not a lot of display options out there for 1/4 and especially 1/3 statues.
I pre ordered the new NieR:Automata 2B 1/3 deluxe, which was 2.6k and is 3 feet tall.
My only good option is moducase, which again is going to be a small investment compared to the overall statues price itself.
Paying the price of a figure for a case that can hold 12+ of them is a no brainer.
That’s actually a really great way to look at it! Most people look at the entire wall combination price and get overwhelmed, but really it’s a figure per cube and they hold a ton!
It would be interested to re-evaluate this argument now that detolfs are a staggering $130.
Right!
Detolfs double the price in the US to $130 so not worth it anymore. I looked into DIY a moducase I havent looked back.
It’s good to have options!
You just can’t beat the way your figures look in detolfs sorry moducases
It’s a fair point!
