Base assassins cowl gives health idk why running knockout to make the spirit also grant health is so bad. Also knockouts health regen is still pitiful in actual gameplay. Good vid tho
as someone with the spirit of bear + armamentarium combo when you end unbreakable, it uses an extra 50% of your grenade energy. so if you were to have unbreakable up for like 5 seconds and let it use like 80% of your grenade energy, ending it would use another 50% and cause it to use 130% of your grenade energy in total you can't use unbreakable for 5 seconds without wasting a grenade and a half
I do disagree about the Leap/Arma combo. I don't think it's S tier or anything but it deserves more than it is getting. Being able to literally suspend an entire room at whim is really good. You don't need survivability in a GM if you can reliably suspend every with two grapple nades, and the low cooldown on dranger's rally barricade. It's a Darkness debuff so your teammates can take advantage of it. The only downside to it, is boss damage. It won't help you at all unless it is a boss that summons adds between damage phases. Imo the only truely A tier of the Leap combos, everything else is pretty bad compared to other combos.
you forgot that star eaters is hot swappable because titan raid teams are you and 5 celestial hunters, the orbs gonna be there lol , nah but really im happy hazardous propulsion is fun to use because bungie did me dirty otherwise.
Inmost/Contact > Inmost/Syntho; jolt on power melee hit is very strong and works on the Consecration uppercut alone at only 50% of a melee charge, so you technically have up to 6 charges of on demand jolt. Strategy being uppercut only on minors and let jolt get the kills, and then save combo slam for majors/champ/boss as needed. Syntho offers more single target damage but also requires 3 close enemies, so not always taking advantage of it. Close offer more value and utility plus that same roll is great in PVP as well, and easily S tier with Inmost.
@@cooldiesel28 and we got Warlocks’ Ophidian as compensation. The kicker with that being that the original Synthoceps exotic is a better option to take over that. Talk about a one sided trade and getting screwed over.
I think the issue with Titan is that out of all three classes it has the generally the worst exotics. It’s really only been Synthos, Wormgods, and HOIL. With HOIL getting nuked (directly and indirectly), the other classes getting Synthos, and Bungie refusing to give meaningful buffs or reworks to the plethora of horrible Titan exotics just leaves us in this situation where Titan has no identity in team compositions. The formula for the past few years has really been: Does Titan have a busted solo raids melee build? Yes? Then Titans are broken. No? Then titans are mid and struggle to find an identity in the game. I think Bungie really needs to reassess the Titan identity and let them be more than “Your guy’s holding the fists on the cover of the game.”
I have 2 builds i do with titan basically. An AWR build for that element, or something weird or fun. Thats basically it lol. Like the failsafe exotic is one of the best titan exotics we got in ages. Wormgods feels fantastic especially with glaives, and scars makes you unkillable, but really other ones are kinda memey if fun. I like lancecap for daimond lance spams especial with the stasis bow. A very..... interesting combo is icefall mantle ith the stasis changes, beccause icefall still gives you. Its own unique overshield, and that seems to stack with frost armor, and you feel unkillable, but being so slow is a bit awkward and takes getting used to. Anyway got off topic but bungie needs to reevaluate titans especially prismatic titans.
At this point, just rework Titans to be the Team Buff Tank. Give us abilities to draw aggro, to give DR to ourselves and allies, and base the subclasses off of real life Warrior Archetypes, so that way we are called the Warrior Class. Not the melee class.
Prismatic titan feels like it was designed with only the one build in mind, and then they forgot they had to add other stuff and just threw in a bunch of random shit. Honestly never felt so bad to be a Titan, and everything other than prismatic feels boring in comparison.
Bro this is real I’ve been feeling the same, although i mainly play hunter, I am in love with anything that involves titan and with the latest that they’ve added to the subclass I can literally only play that one build, that or I get cooked
The even dumber thing is that they could have easily added in a few different aspects as opposed to the ones they chose and Prismatic Titan would been amazing. Into the Fray, Sol Invictus, and Controlled Demolition would have been amazing picks. But instead, they gave us shit aspects that don’t synergize with each other (outside of Knockout and Consecration) that just feels like a “random bullshit go!” idea.
I've been tinkering with Prismatic for a while now and, as a Titan main and someone who's pretty good at buildcrafting (coming from MMOs and such) I've found a few -decent- builds with prismatic, I can get a lot done crutching on the "3 charges of consecration" bit because who can't, that's braindead easy, but really I just keep asking myself with every new build, "Why am I not just playing Strand Titan?" Which is why I laughed my ass off when I saw that "S-tier" was labeled as it was, because holy crap if that ain't the truth lol. And it's not just the Strand Titan is powerful (though no more so than other classes rn) it's that prismatic Titan just really lacks any synergies. Not with it's own ability selection and not with the class items (as demonstrated handily by Mactics).
I hate that Bungie has been making titan essentially a melee class for the past several years and simultaneously nerfing everything that makes melee viable. it really makes titan, and especially prismatic titan, very disappointing to play
I iust think making them the melee class, while giving a real kit to the other classes, was a mistake in the first place. Each subclass in Destiny 1 had their own identity that reflected the lore and it made them quite cool in all honesty. Then a meme popped up which was titans being this dumb melee everything class and Bungie, for some reason, decided to make that the new identity of every titan subclass going forward they turned a fuckn MEME into the identity for titans, still so pissed about that and was when they made that shift too.
The Titan should be the melee class and I am fine with it. It's why I picked it up when D2 came out because in D1 I was a hunter main. But the issue is, the game is so anti-melee. Every boss or even mini bosses will stomp you into hell in 1 shot even if their weapon or other abilities don't hit that hard. They've nerfed our ability to be good at being a melee build so many god damn times it's absurd.
@@DeanVarney Yea I just think its quite uninspired, it would essentially be the same as warlocks being the "grenade spam" class, an Identity should be things like "space wizard", "master of mystic arts", "stealthy assassin", "rootin tootin gunslinger", those are identities two of which are associated with two separate subclasses of hunter. I'm just saying that titans could be way more interesting if their identities and design philosophy was still the ones from the lore like it was in D1, "the artillery of the last city sunbreakers", "the unbreakable wall of the last city defender" and "the head first frontline striker" these are actual identities a melee is an ability and titans aren't even the best at doing that. I mean its pointless to talk about anyway since Bungie will do absolutely nothing about it cause it simply is too much work to roll back now. I just wish that they never leaned into a MEME as an identity for the class.
I love smashing things with the Titan but they always just nerf it when it’s fun and actually working as it should. Once they nerf it, just kills the titan that much more.
@@acid_9 yea that's true, that's why having more than one focus(like the other classes mind you) would be nice xd. Cause if melee isn't useful or they nerf a melee exotic the entire class suffers instead of just one build on a class. Titan can feel very nice to play, that's why I'm still playing, I just find myself switching more now a days which is kind of sad since I've been a titan since D1 with ward of dawn.
Their thought should be something like throw glacial grenade, pop hoarfrost, everything is frozen so now you can charge a thunderclap and make the whole room explode. I got a hoarfrost+synthos and i made a build around that. Thunderclap with synthos, facet of ruin and facet of courge plus the artifact make for some funny one shots. BUT. Stand does this way better already. Solar titan does this better already. Heck, point contacts + thunderclap does a bit less single target but pops the room as well and returns energy. Also hoarfrost on primatic titan is hard to use. By the time you got on your targets and with the lack of DR or healing you are as good as dead. Its just not worth it at all on anything other than strikes. The worst thing is that you dont have a melee uptime similar to your class ability so if you plan on using hoarfrost spam you need a GL. Overall fun build but thats where it stops. I was praying we get Cadmus and stasis synergy. But we got this useless thing that i only use because its the new shiny thing.
The Titan Prismatic class item really just highlights how few good exotics Titans have access to. Outside of an obvious missed opportunity like putting Skullfort on there, the options were pretty barren in the first place. The good titan exotics are every good, but they're also extremely few and far between.
Titans only got like 2 good aspects and 2 good class item combos😭 were so cooked bro💀 edit: not to mention Hunter's doing more melee damage than any titan build rn
It is wrong that they gave hunters the grapple melee damage crown. I'm a warlock main but titans got taken to the step. Maybe they'll introduce more combos with time and remove some of the deadwood (entire titan prismatic kit) 😂
@@tryingmybest9819 yeah most of the Titan aspects except for knockout and consecration aren’t very good (diamond lance can be okay sometimes). They seriously need to buff the other ones or straight up swap them out (though I’m sure some people would be upset). I’m not sure if they would be able to do that tho. About the Hunter grapple melee thing; I think they should remove the stylish executioner invis melee damage buff but ONLY for grapple melee. That’d solve a lot of problems😅
@@frostmourne1986 I fucking love wishful ignorance so much❤️. Throw on Monte Carlo (depends on how many fireteam members) With flechette storm it’s so much fun spamming ur melees
titan prismatic is just a soup bowl of all the crap no titan main ever used because it sucked. Putting stasis melee in the prismatic kit should be a crime. It's so bad. Why would anyone pick anything but the strand melee when it gives you three charges. So obviously the onlu real choice unless you plan on doing something like a peregrine greaves build on prismatic. I don't hate the nades. The class items are mostly garbage though. I'd argue for spirit of inmost light/armamentarium but only because that would give you 3 melees and 2 grenades with accelerated ability regen. Suppressing/weakening grenades + consecration sounds ok to me. But prismatic isn't the only problem. They've nerfed synthos 3 times and banner of war and its STILL the best build in the game for titans even with an entirely new subclass. They've done almost nothing to make Titan exotics better and if anything slightly overperforms they nerf it. I dont get it
The best thing about bear-armamentarium is a single unbreakable cast will consume both of your grenade. its literally possible for a perk on the exotic class item to complete kill the other one.
Honestly the new rocket chest piece better than any class item combo. You can argue for a few builds, but I don’t want to play that way. The chest piece is fun!
The exotic class items for titans are just exposing what Titan mains have known for the last 3 years. That only a few exotics are actually useful on our class. And the fact that every other class now has access to two of these just feels like a kick in the nuts (synthos and HOIL). I hope bungie addresses the Titan issues soon.
@@00ABBITT00 Titans had two extremely overtuned PvE subclasses and two extremely overtuned PvP subclasses. Try using void and arc titan in any high level PvE activity and you'll see what he's talking about.
@@00ABBITT00Nobody ever mentioned PvP. Remove void overshields from PvP for all I care. I would rather use thruster anyway. Titans have no diversity and that’s the issue. The only two useful builds you mentioned are punching stuff.
@@00ABBITT00 Dear lord stop being a biased little child. Titans -suffer- from bad class design. First and foremost both of the subclasses you named suck balls on bosses the are not grounded. Stand needed synthos to be proced so if there are no adds you missed damage. Solar was godly in survival but so was warlock. Only solar hunters lacked in the survival of solar since day 1. Also titans are always meta WHEN an exotic is busted: PVP: - one eyed mask with overshield and tracking - loreleys with huge healing and shield - citans when the whole sandbox broke down to pieces and ranged primaries were meta while breaking the shield was hard - dunemarches were bugged and caused more chain lighting from dead bodies or between the same targets - anteus lasting a damn long time - void titan overshield spam, gutted and never retuned again - shoulder charge one shot but in a sandbox full of special ammo and shotgun meta. - bubble in pvp control/trials, but so did well. both nerfed but still strong. - HoiL + storm grenade. Lasted what? a patch? PVE: we have no "busted" exotic in pve. We actually have only 2-3 options and they all come with conditions. - synthos need adds - warmgods need setup with kills before dps - pyrogales needs the boss to not be afar - cuirass and i explain below why it sucks - Note: only pyrogales change the gameplay loop here turning a roaming super into an one off. The rest are just "buff melee damage". So when everything is removed in pvp what does the class itself offers? Nothing compare to the other 2. Hunters have a reposition built in, in an fps game. This is the single most OP class ability in pvp along with the best jump in pvp. Stealth or ranged melees. There is no single hunter spec that is bad in pvp. Warlocks are masters of air taking you down from out of bounds with insanely stupid tracking in all of their roaming supers. Dawn of blade is literary tracking you behind corners. Both of them also have the best stasis pvp builds unlike titan that is based around crystals, and guess how shit crystals are on pvp nowadays. Did i mention that for any titan super to do damage you either need: - synthos + adds alive - cuirass + tcrash to do less damage than needlestorm with nothing. Also less damage than nighthawk golden gun which by the way is 2 clicks while the titan has to travel to the target and return. meanwhile everyone else is shooting. And now we got the worst of the worst in the shape of prismatic while everything else has been nerfed and everyone outperforms us in every aspect. I clearly understand that when the items i mentioned were meta, titans were unhealthy level of op, and that seems to have caused some PTSD to you. But that just shows how problematic the class is and that is why we are asking for reworks for sooo long. Posts like your reply do no good. Just because we get around with something being busted for a while is not fun. We saw a good turn of events with Pyrogales enabling titans a one off AND a good neutral pve game in the solar class that is the best in survival. And then we get this prismatic attrocity and we are back to strand or solar. Again. Stasis is good right now but the roaming super is terrible for dps and even when grounded unless its a rocket setup you are blocking your team. Even the one fun and unique sub that we got is problematic due to being the crystal smashing focused one.
@@niksen3300 yeah, i explained this to one of my hunter friends. Then he just threw me a clip with a titan solo raid and said i don't care, titan is broken. And "you are the only titan in our clan, why don't you do shit in this clip when we raid"... Bro, there's a reason why i'm the only titan in our clan. I don't even want to explain anymore when you guy kill every add you see.. Btw, they give synthos to everyone feel like a wombo combo kick to your nut. Remember when bungie said "we want titan have the best melee in the game" make me really really want to punch them with a T-crash. It's just a pure lie now
I play all three classes. kinda seems like bungie is terrified of making Titan broken. While on the other hand they are making hunter broken on purpose.
They don't want a broken titan because the only one way they think they can do that is 10x melee damage. If Titan were broken in other ways like damage resistance, potent grenades, buffing allies, it would be far better. BUT NO, titans are the melee class in game where half the enemies have a 1-hit kill stomp or a shotgun
Titan has been broken for like a year now, and prism titan is still the second best prismatic subclass the only reason people think it's bad is because it only has one viable build
severence is bad because they nerfed its damage radius and the spirit version doesn't give escalating damage based on the tier of the enemy. It's completely neutered.
It’s insane to me that Hunters get access to Frost Armor, Woven Mail, and Healing options in their class items, and Titans don’t get shit for survivability.
The thing about spirit of assassin is it’s not just powered melee kills but finishers that make you invisible. So there’s more utility with it when you consider how often you can finish someone
Titan main here, and honestly my opinion of TFS has vastly shifted in the weeks following release. We got shafted HARD. I feel like people are going to keep running strand builds, and the response from Bungie will be to nerf BoW further instead of fixing prismatic Titan. I am already anticipating this :( I need better drop rates on this class item with how low the odds are to find something usable. At this rate, I will give up farming before finding something S tier. 11 day update: I main a warlock now. Please fix Titan, Bungie
You know that’s exactly what Bungie will do. They always nerf the overused option and hardly ever buff the underused option. Or if they do buff the underused option, it’s not enough to make it worth using still.
Heads up. Also Titan main. Set up an AFK farm, got a god roll class item, and now prismatic Titan really cooks. Kinda hard, but if you can land a good inmost light combo it’s crazy.
Prismatic Titan bad, because Titan is bad Strand Titan is the only Titan that functionally has a cohesive kit, and gameplay loop Knockout is pathetic Sol Invictus is good but limited Offensive Bulwark and Controlled Demo work against each other, and Bulwark is just cringe unless you manage to consistently have Repulsor Brace uptime Stasis??? Its fine, Diamond Lance is cool, but you then have a terrible melee so. Twilight Arsenal is the only good Super all the time, and even then its below Nova Bomb or 3 Hunter Supers, the rest are bad or situational/nerfed And then they picked trash for Prismatic I actually think their best Aspect is Diamond Lance and thats not even a joke, and even then its just a freeze projectile Nothing else works together, minus Consecration + Knockout which is braindead and Bungie inevitably gonna nerf it probably, because why not Exotics are almost all terrible or dont scale to higher tier content, Bungie doesnt seem to understand we take Synthoceps and HOIL because theyre the only exotics THAT MAKE TITANS GAMEPLAY LOOP WORK, not because its "overpowered" Class item is pathetic And of course, Titans DPS rotations dont exist, and they actually gave Hunter and Warlock MORE with The Final Shape Just terrible
I was beginning to get tired of the titan kits last season and was looking forward to broken prismatic builds on titan to respark my love for the class but since the nerfs to strand titan and prismatic sucking I just switched to warlock. Theres just too few options with titan now, and even those options are a shell of their former selves. Why would I use this class when literally Hunter and Warlock do everything that Titans can but better. I just want Titans to be equally as good as the other classes, and it's sad.
I have the Drengrs+ synthos combo. It’s insane. I did a master list sector and did 318,000 damage to a champion with a charged thunderclap to a suspended champion. If you use the fragment that has light abilities do more damage to suspended enemies and a pugilist weapon you have constant uptime to your charged melee. It’s awesome.
Hear me out.. you could have done that with just Synthos though. And Synthos would be giving you extra handling and super damage while you're surrounded.
@@Huskers1028cc doesn’t hurt at all. Plus mass suspends then light melees fills transcendence much better which the melees are way more juiced when transcendent with uptime and damage and damage resistance
While I don't think you're wrong about the eternal warrior perk (and other ones like it) not being great, I think it's a bit reductive to say you can switch to surges on your legs. You can have the x4 surge and use 3x surge for your other weapons
In my opinion, you could make an exception to scars and hoarfrost if you're running a build for it. Run Glacier nade, behemoth, with scars and hoarfrost on the class item and ability uptime fragments and mods and you have nearly infinite crystal gen and with ruin, they all do insane damage. Pair this with Verglas or Salvations (I like using Verglas) and you have really fun and pretty strong add clear that worked for me in the day one for first and third while I was underlight. The reason why this worked for me, is Scars give you healing on stasis weapon kills on behemoth, and since behemoth is your super, you can get frost armor too. Balance gives essentially Demo to Verglas, devotion, awakening, and honor gives constant transcendence just for playing the build, ruin for damage, and purpose for constant frost armor. It's really fun and effective in ad dense content :)
Titan main since taken king. Your assessment feels correct. Prismatic hunter feels just… better. Prismatic titan feels like they chose the third best option out of every subclass and said ‘this will do’.
Glad to have pulled inmost star eaters early, inmost alone during transcendence is so good for the stacking ability regen rates. Feels great for general play, at least the one good build is good enough 😅
For the spirit of eternal warrior and star eater, the reason you could viably use it is if you put kinetic surges for something like witherhoard or izanagis, while youre using edge transit
No one with even a shred of common sense can sit there and say “Bungie does care about Titans”. Titans are just an afterthought for Bungie at this point…..something they remember they have to do something for with every expansion after they’ve already given all the cool, unique, and powerful stuff to Hunters and Warlocks. It’s painfully obvious no one at Bungie mains a Titan or really cares about where the Titans sit in the meta.
Why was banner of war as op as it was for so long then, the only reason prism titan is considered bad is because of the lack of diversity, realistically the consecration spam build is easily the second best prism build in the game rn
Stasis, not even close, pure survivability, solar has it, strand is still extremely strong, but prismatic titan, just for transcendence alone, is absolutely nuts. If you’re saying stasis is better than pris Titan, you haven’t made the right build for it
Man I could have seen so many ways to make this really cool, especially since this was supposed to go with prismatic. Spirit of bear is by far the worst one out of any of the classes. Considering that we have diamond lances as an aspect, I was hoping to have the lance cap to try to do something better with that. There’s just many of these that need tune ups or aren’t being thought about in the context of prismatic
The problem with making prismatic for titan is: they made almost the same melee in 3 different aspects. Strand, Stasis and Solar. We have consagration, fleched storm and the
Stasis one. It would be hell of a messy job putting two together. Then the only viable option from Arc is knockout, which would be absolutely broken if paired with either roaring flames, banner of war or offensive bul (if overshields were easier to get in prismatic). Roaring flames cant really work very well with the stasis and strand granades. Stasis doesnt have any good aspects to combine with because there is little way to make sinergies if not with other stasis aspects really. Offensive bul needs you to have overshields and their is little eay to get them with the prismatic fragments. And having to many options to crowd controll kill every single moment for unbreakable to shine (and really in group content its way better tonused your normal grande because you have no focused fire with other people). The only other sinergies I could think of is replacing knockout with juggernaut and diamond lance with glysciocasm so that you could either run with and overshield tanking, then either proc unbreakable to tank more or throwing a glacier granade before running, tanking with juggernaut and then slide to kill. Thats it. I think that if Sol Invictus or Banner of war were present in prismatic it would be very difficult to balance even if there is only one of those aspects.
8:41 I have that same issue with Assassin on Warlock as well. You already get Devour from Lightning Surge Feed the Void Arcane Needle build, do why would I either stack that with Invis or trade it for Invis? What, I'm gonna get rid of FtV for Hellion? XD And devour is anti synergy with invisibility. Devour wants me to stay in the fight and press an advantage while invisibility wants me to run away from a fight to create an advantage. If I shoot to kill something to reproc devour then I drop invis. If I run away and get a better position then I loose devour. I don't understand why it was rated so highly in your Warlock video.
X3 Dealers choice weapons or khvostov or bad juju and shooting during transcendence = instant supers, then rolls like enteral warrior/ star eaters make sense. Transcendence refunds all your abilities so no focus needed to regen them. Just build into transcendence and getting 20 second supers. Throw twilight and switch to b&s Edge Transit. Triple kinetic surge and siphon, also use severe fragment for additional dark transcendence gains, super easy headshots to proc it with bad juju and khvostov
Innermost/arma got me through the Warden of Nothing GM at 22 below. Being able to suspend and jolt and spam abilities throughout was amazing. Shield Throw was amazing too for that quick overshield. Pulse grenades was awesome. Also running the fragment that gives CURE on grenade final blows was so good. It is absolutely my end game loadout.
Just curious but isn't og inmost light not just still better than inmost class item combos? Like sure with synthos there might be some builds where its better to use the class item but like the dmg buff from inmost light feels better than most of the secon choices you can get on the class item especially because how synergistc inmost is with prismatic already.
Spirit of Bear and Star-eater is a great combo. Been playing with it tonnes. Pair it with dealers' choice weapons, tesselation, grenade mods, and max intellect. Get twilight arsenal back in less than a minute, then overcharge the super. Underrated combo.
Pro tip for hoil. The consecration initial slam and second slam count as two abilities so timing it right can give you a longer regen timer and one full melee charge gives you 2x ability recharge.
A pretty underrated one is severance contact, clears rooms in gms with ease but inmost contact is my fav overall, crazy add clear with ability spam and inmost works with trancendance making both melees and grenades jolt enemies
Both Hunter and Warlock got a singular super charged aspect that most prismatic builds use (Stylish and Feed the Void). The equivalent on Titan is Knockout, which is good, but I think pales in comparison to the others. IMO the super OP aspect on Titan should have been into the Fray. Woven Mail increases Melee regen, and Woven mail from tangles. They could have then adjusted it such that any ability kills generated tangles kinda like Diamond lance. Boom. All the problems are solved IMO. You now have built in Woven Mail which is huge DR and melee Regen from the same Aspect (both things the Prismatic titan would love). Imagine this and Triple Consecration now… Busted
I think this list is very sliiiightly overvaluing abeyant leap, just because drengr's lash feels pretty rough to use on prismatic since it means forgoing knockout or consecration, and a suspend-focused prismatic feels worse than doing it on strand in every way, but that's sort of a minor quibble.
Abeyant should have given woven mail instead of the extra lashes. Getting access to 10 seconds of woven mail would have been infinitely more useful and would synergize with some of the fragments that prismatic offers.
Not really, it feels fine with Consecration, with the right setup you won't miss Knockout too much, but it depends on the situation. It's more of a end-game support build so you won't feel it's power in normal activities.
Imagine the banned HoiL meanwhile warlocks having like a 5 time faster ability regen now. Imagine they nerfed every melee build for titans + banner of war and hunters are not dealing way more melee damage than us. Imagine the nerfed hammer by putting a cool-down on it and lorely‘s and meanwhile hunters and warlocks have way better survivability than us. Imagine they would have given us banner of war for prismatic but no titans are not allowed to be strong
Eternal Warrior would allow you to run 3x surges on your legs for a secondary DPS swap weapon while still buffing Edge Transit for an entire mag dump in this scenario. With the confirmed upcoming buff to Twilight Arsenal it makes the Warrior / Star Eater / Edge combo even more appealing.
I came across your videos for the first time and I love your insights, they were all spot on. Hopefully someone at Bungie will notice and do something more for us Titans.
When I heard about prismatic I envisioned a roaring flames/BoW build using throwing hammer only to be disappointed by getting absolutely shafted as a titan main. Then I saw that we could of had a HoIL/Contact bonk Titan and almost cried
@@jancelpinales5228 yeah the biggest problem is that titans most underused aspects don’t synergize well and provide very little protection. Just having bastion, BoW, or sol invictus would make prismatic competitive with base subclasses. Even the cure from throwing hammer would help out.
@@gills10975 I agree, as a Titan main I totally understand why most of the alternative aspects for solar, void, and strand weren’t picked. I think adding throwing hammer might solve a decent amount of the issues with prismatic without making them broken. It’s just frustrating that it is God or nothing for most titan builds nowadays
@@jamesbarton4424 yeah, bungle seems to think that just because titan has a few builds that are insanely broken it makes it ok to have the rest of the class be terrible
Sad when they even hyped it up as being able to do that before release, and then they released it bugged so that it doesn’t work at all. Just shows how much thought and testing Bungie puts into Titan: aka none.
My first and only drop on my Titan was Synthos and HOIL. I am finished. I am like 15 deep on my hunter and 6 on my lock and haven't gotten a good one yet though. Such is life.
My new favorite combo is glacier grenade combined with consecrate. Toss the glacier grenade, then run up on it and consecrate so you essentially kool-aid man through the stasis crystals. You get shatter damage + ignition damage, with that one fragment that boosts both damage types, it makes for a nice boom.
The reason for Assassins Cowl is that the transition between groups of adds can kill you, especially in GMs. I use it because it also gives me time for my health to regen if I don’t kill a pack of adds.
Stareaters, doesn't it work on the basis you're able to collect some orbs immediately before using the super? Doesn't sound practical more like best case scenario
Eternal Warrior & Star Eater is very great for boss damage after using your axe super you can switch to a grenade launcher and go nuts especially with bait and switch or something
Eternal warrior also buffs the melee axe damage afterwards. Works excllent with envious assassin/explosive light regnant. Super, chop with axes, dump mag with regnant. Big damage
I would like to believe that when I get in a raid team, they would happily say, "Oh damn you got EW+SE? we needed that, but sadly, they would say," Don't you have a hunter or a warlock? "
I would have liked to see warden mixed in with these its new but really under used and would pair well with some of these, throwing your barricade with abbyant or alpha lupi as a heal nade or send as a huge statsis nade with hoarfrost. I am sure this is the first pass and they will do more exotic class mixes later once they work out the balance.
Assassins cowl is honestly one of the most useful exotics for prismatic titan since he’s so squishy in higher difficulty content. 15 seconds of invis on a finisher is nuts.
Inmost contact is the most entertaining thing in the game. I beat the GM running that with frenzied consecration spam and I basically just farmed res tokens the whole freaking time while my squad did the mechanics. That is top S tier, and it isn’t even remotely close.
HoIL+Contact has been on my prismatic Titan since I've gotten it (I haven't gotten HoIL+Synthos yet), and it's pretty damn solid. Unstobbable champ? Consecration Ignition stuns it. Overload champ? Consecration jolt stuns it. Barrier champ? Suspend with grenade, Consecration kills it. Still would be nice to have some more options aside from Consecration, but it works.
It’s rough being a titan main I use prismatic for add clear or if I just can’t use thunder crash but even then solar and strand still out do it in end game content
I know that this is a class item tier list, but some of the class items have made me test the new aspect. Here's what I found: Unbreakable is actually pretty interesting. I thought I'd try it since my first roll was Bear + Armamentarium and I recently got something similar with Bear + Synthoceps. Facet of Dominance DOES work with Unbreakable as you do weaken targets. I assume the other grenade related Facets do as well, so there are some good options there. However, I think I'd still take Knockout for that extra melee damage. Just interesting to note. Also the shield can take a lot, I saw it take a golden gun shot in PvP.
In this season I’m actually liking syntho hoarfrost, with the dodge class ability, it seems to do the same as the stasis artefact and leaves two small crystals
When I cleared the campaign on legend solo I noticed the prismatic sub class was pretty weak and lacked diversity. This was especially the case when I saw the exotic sub class options. Titans we're down boys. I'm mostly upset that we lack the exotic synergy like hunters i.e. celestial nighthawk and hunt sniper, and warlock exotic helmet with the raid weapon, microcosm. As a extra slap in the face bungee didn't even give us burning maul so we can't use pyrogale gauntlet with prismatic or with the exotic class items SMH wtf
I will say this though: For as crappy as Titans are right now, i couldn't picture my group completing GM Excision without Abeyant Leap and BoW Titans. I felt like I helped carried the entire team, especially when it came to CCing and deleting large groups of champs to farm revive tokens.
As many other people have said in many ways, this just highlights a problem; many Titan exotics just suck. Some were always bad, some fell behind as the game evolved and the bar was raised for new exotics, or the expectations for exotic performance changed in the eyes of the players with flashy and powerful synergies(Osteo & Necrotics, etc). The exotic class items for Titan aren't so much an example of the devs selectively picking poor choices, as they are an example that you'd be hard pressed to pick any random 8-10 Titan exotics and not have most of them be duds.
i mean.... off the top of my head we can go HOIL,Synthos,Abeyant, I think with ergo stronghold would be a good pick, I think its a shame arbor warden is not on here, having it as a 1st column slot would allow you to run it with khepris or drengr's. Lancecap could be one to do, ashen wake that works with any grenade would do so much more for grenade builds on titan, ACD/0's are fun, I think bungie should have put both the new exotics on all the class items like propulsion and wishful ignorance. and yeah i'm hard pressed for a ninth. This took me an hour to make.
Hoarfrost and khepr can be paired with dregs lash so that you make a stasis wall suspend the enemies in front of you so they can’t move and then get ignited with the flame coming back while also blowing up the stasis wall to deal two different elemental type damages. Add in say knockout or conscreation and you can get really good stuff out of it
I have that roll. That's not how it works. The flame wall stops right before the ice crystals on the way back. It doesn't shatter them. Nothing really synergizes in titan prismatic. It just looks cool. None of it actually works how you wish it does.
Honestly if they gave us pyro gala or cruias with star eaters it might save prismatic titan then give the warlocks some op dmg combo too and just leave hunters alone might be balanced thoughts ?
Got lucky pulling HOIL and Stareaters and it felt amazing with prismatic titan. Im focusing into void so its nice to have quick grenade up time from HOIL to spam volitile rounds and running buried blood line gives you devour, weaken, and overshield due to the seasonal artifact. Concecration + Knockout and frenzied blade basically giving you 3x melee nukes is great too along with them basically being infinite when in transcendence.
Ok, so I've just done a little testing myself as I got a class item with spirit of the bear spirit of verity. And it would seem that yes, verity DOES boost the damage of the unbreakable aspect. (Tested using both a void grenade with void weapon with 0 stacks then 4 stacks of death throes, and a strand grenade with strand weapon, both at 0 and 4 stacks) It doesn't seem to care what grenade you are using as long as your weapon matches it to trigger death throes, unbreakable will get a damage boost regardless.
I love how titan has only 2 builds that can be used in difficult content. Banner with synthos, and knockout slam with synthos. After experimenting for a couple weeks, I can now confidently say that Titan does not have a single other endgame build
Mactics: *Says Spirit of the Hoarfrost is bad because you're gonna plink at the crystals to break it* Me: No! Smash it with concentration! The Crystal wall still counts as a darkness debuff!
consecration is currently bugged so it doesn’t always break crystals not to mention are we really wasting a melee charge to break crystals considering how bad our cooldown times are
spirit of the bear and spirit of verity combined with void grenade weaken, grenade final blows cure, & grenade final blow gives void weapons volatile rounds is like the only really fun prismatic titan build ive used. you can parry with unbreakable and basically always get a kill and some super energy without using a lot of grenade energy or you can fully block a lot of damage and with x5 death throws you deal 250,000, definitely even more if the enemy is already weakened and you have the artifact perk that does more void damage to weakened targets.
Dawg that’s what I’ve been saying from the beginning about prismatic Titan. The only actual good/effective end game build that I’ve seen everywhere has been throw on synthos and use consecration with frenzied blade. Ggs go next. Shit is so boring to me now.
if you disagree with any of these picks you can debate with me (civilly) right here right now: twitch.tv/mactics
Base assassins cowl gives health idk why running knockout to make the spirit also grant health is so bad. Also knockouts health regen is still pitiful in actual gameplay. Good vid tho
as someone with the spirit of bear + armamentarium combo
when you end unbreakable, it uses an extra 50% of your grenade energy. so if you were to have unbreakable up for like 5 seconds and let it use like 80% of your grenade energy, ending it would use another 50% and cause it to use 130% of your grenade energy in total
you can't use unbreakable for 5 seconds without wasting a grenade and a half
Thank you for acknowledging the pain of the crayon eaters.
you forgot that star eaters is hot swappable because titan raid teams are you and 5 celestial hunters, the orbs gonna be there lol , nah but really im happy hazardous propulsion is fun to use because bungie did me dirty otherwise.
"Inmost/Synthoceps. At least you guys got that one." (it's available for all classes lol)
And it's the only 2 good exotic that titan have. They neft it just to give it to everyone. Titan is just a side character now....
Inmost and star-eater for me 😊
Inmost/Contact > Inmost/Syntho; jolt on power melee hit is very strong and works on the Consecration uppercut alone at only 50% of a melee charge, so you technically have up to 6 charges of on demand jolt. Strategy being uppercut only on minors and let jolt get the kills, and then save combo slam for majors/champ/boss as needed. Syntho offers more single target damage but also requires 3 close enemies, so not always taking advantage of it. Close offer more value and utility plus that same roll is great in PVP as well, and easily S tier with Inmost.
i got hoil/synth for my first ever exotic class item lol. im so lucky
It does show how good those exotics are but I definitely feel you 😂
It’s crazy how our only 2 s tiers are the ones all the other classes get ….
Oh shit, you right. I didn't even notice that at first.
Imagine that. The good stuff that Titan gets, the other classes get it as well.
@@mriguy7989 I was pissssssed when I saw other classes get synthos
The formula for the past few years has really been:
Does Titan have a busted solo raids melee build?
Yes? Then Titans are broken.
No? Then titans are mid and struggle to find an identity in the game.
I think Bungie really needs to reassess the Titan identity and let them be more than “Your guy’s holding the fists on the cover of the game.”
Great take sir! 🫡
Exactly bro I just wish bungee would do something about it
It’s funny it’s also the melee class but it’s melee is weak without an exotic. Base melee damage should be high.
“That one horse drawing,” is now my most favorite way to describe things
Prismatic titan feels like it was designed with only the one build in mind, and then they forgot they had to add other stuff and just threw in a bunch of random shit. Honestly never felt so bad to be a Titan, and everything other than prismatic feels boring in comparison.
Bro this is real I’ve been feeling the same, although i mainly play hunter, I am in love with anything that involves titan and with the latest that they’ve added to the subclass I can literally only play that one build, that or I get cooked
This is how I see it too. Like one really good build, they forgot and went "oh shit!" And panic through a bunch of random shit into the pot.
You guys hit the nail on the head. I thought I was the only Titan main thinking this.
I've been tinkering with Prismatic for a while now and, as a Titan main and someone who's pretty good at buildcrafting (coming from MMOs and such) I've found a few -decent- builds with prismatic, I can get a lot done crutching on the "3 charges of consecration" bit because who can't, that's braindead easy, but really I just keep asking myself with every new build, "Why am I not just playing Strand Titan?"
Which is why I laughed my ass off when I saw that "S-tier" was labeled as it was, because holy crap if that ain't the truth lol.
Titan can feel very nice to play, that's why I'm still playing,
I just find myself switching more now a days which is kind of sad since I've been a titan since D1 with ward of dawn.
I don’t know why they chose Hoarfrost instead of Cadmus Ridge Lancecap for a stasis exotic armor perk when they literally gave us diamond lance
tit an was clearly an afterthought
When you realize that Bungie just treats Titans as an afterthought, it starts to make sense.
Then it would have actual synergy, can't have that
Their thought should be something like throw glacial grenade, pop hoarfrost, everything is frozen so now you can charge a thunderclap and make the whole room explode.
But we got this useless thing that i only use because its the new shiny thing.
seriously. hoarfrost doesnt make much sense to me when it could have been lancecap.
The Titan Prismatic class item really just highlights how few good exotics Titans have access to. Outside of an obvious missed opportunity like putting Skullfort on there, the options were pretty barren in the first place. The good titan exotics are every good, but they're also extremely few and far between.

I went back to strand with the new exotic gloves. A much better time than prismatic honestly.
100% agree . HP is better than a strong subclass . They really gave us an S tier exotic with that one.
Also titans are always meta WHEN an exotic is busted:
PVP:
- one eyed mask with overshield and tracking
- loreleys with huge healing and shield
- citans when the whole sandbox broke down to pieces and ranged primaries were meta while breaking the shield was hard
- dunemarches were bugged and caused more chain lighting from dead bodies or between the same targets
- anteus lasting a damn long time
- void titan overshield spam, gutted and never retuned again
- shoulder charge one shot but in a sandbox full of special ammo and shotgun meta.
- bubble in pvp control/trials, but so did well. both nerfed but still strong.
- HoiL + storm grenade. Lasted what? a patch?
PVE:
we have no "busted" exotic in pve. We actually have only 2-3 options and they all come with conditions.
- synthos need adds
- warmgods need setup with kills before dps
- pyrogales needs the boss to not be afar
- cuirass and i explain below why it sucks
- Note: only pyrogales change the gameplay loop here turning a roaming super into an one off.
Did i mention that for any titan super to do damage you either need:
- synthos + adds alive
- cuirass + tcrash to do less damage than needlestorm with nothing.

There’s been a long running meme/rumor that no one at Bungie mains Titan. Pretty sure it’s an obvious fact at this point.

Titan main here, and honestly my opinion of TFS has vastly shifted in the weeks following release. We got shafted HARD. Prismatic Titan bad, because Titan is bad
Strand Titan is the only Titan that functionally has a cohesive kit, and gameplay loop
Knockout is pathetic
Sol Invictus is good but limited
Offensive Bulwark and Controlled Demo work against each other, and Bulwark is just cringe unless you manage to consistently have Repulsor Brace uptime
Stasis??? Its fine, Diamond Lance is cool, but you then have a terrible melee so.
Twilight Arsenal is the only good Super all the time, and even then its below Nova Bomb or 3 Hunter Supers, the rest are bad or situational/nerfed
And then they picked trash for Prismatic
I actually think their best Aspect is Diamond Lance and thats not even a joke, and even then its just a freeze projectile
Nothing else works together, minus Consecration + Knockout which is braindead and Bungie inevitably gonna nerf it probably, because why not
Exotics are almost all terrible or dont scale to higher tier content, Bungie doesnt seem to understand we take Synthoceps and HOIL because theyre the only exotics THAT MAKE TITANS GAMEPLAY LOOP WORK, not because its "overpowered"
Class item is pathetic
And of course, Titans DPS rotations dont exist, and they actually gave Hunter and Warlock MORE with The Final Shape
Just terrible
Diamond Lance will be improved considerably when they fix the bug with not being able to shatter crystals.
“Prismatic sucking”, you’re delusional. Prismatic titan is great, idk what build you threw together but you don’t seem to know how good it really is
I have the Drengrs+ synthos combo.

How does it work?
Prismatic Titan is Bungie's revenge for BoW
Idk what you mean when prismatic titan is very good
@@Freebie6 lmao BoW Strand, Abeyant Strand, Stasis, Solar all outclass Prismatic and its not even close
Buddy, I’m sorry but you’re just wrong
Stasis, not even close, pure survivability, solar has it, strand is still extremely strong, but prismatic titan, just for transcendence alone, is absolutely nuts. If you’re saying stasis is better than pris Titan, you haven’t made the right build for it
@@Freebie6Word. I build some builds around the class item combos and i just melt everything with it. Even on gm and higher stuff.
Assassin's cowl is under rated for it's ability to help close gaps safely with more spread out enemies
Eternal warrior and star eaters on boss damage: twilight arsenal + leviathan’s breath on witness is nuts
8:41
I have that same issue with Assassin on Warlock as well. You already get Devour from Lightning Surge Feed the Void Arcane Needle build, do why would I either stack that with Invis or trade it for Invis? What, I'm gonna get rid of FtV for Hellion? XD
And devour is anti synergy with invisibility.
I've been a Titan main since D1. I've switched to Hunter for endgame content and not sure I'll ever use Titan outside basic seasonal content.
same here homie, hope our class gets the love it deserves but I doubt it
X3 Dealers choice weapons or khvostov or bad juju and shooting during transcendence = instant supers, then rolls like enteral warrior/ star eaters make sense.
Even easier on hunter with celestial night hawk cause it was buffed to get extra super energy just for headshots… 😏
i love my hoil and contact roll more after using hoil and syntho, still decent damage from ignition and jolt, stunning 2 champ with one ability
Stunning champs doesn't matter when syntho's one shots them, here's an example
ruclips.net/video/OFrcq1Vkh9s/видео.htmlsi=MyFYUN0Q5fpylpTV
Innermost/arma got me through the Warden of Nothing GM at 22 below. Being able to suspend and jolt and spam abilities throughout was amazing. Shield Throw was amazing too for that quick overshield. Pulse grenades was awesome. Also running the fragment that gives CURE on grenade final blows was so good. It is absolutely my end game loadout.
Question, do class items boost Transcendent abilities? Titans have really good trans grenades so is it worth building into that?
Just curious but isn't og inmost light not just still better than inmost class item combos? Like sure with synthos there might be some builds where its better to use the class item but like the dmg buff from inmost light feels better than most of the secon choices you can get on the class item especially because how synergistc inmost is with prismatic already.
Fun fact spirit of horns fire wave stops short of hiting your barricade so it doesnt shatter hoarfrost crystals
Thoughts about this combo Spirit of severance + spirit of alpha lupi. Keep or keep farming.
Spirit of Bear and Star-eater is a great combo. Been playing with it tonnes. Pair it with dealers' choice weapons, tesselation, grenade mods, and max intellect. Get twilight arsenal back in less than a minute, then overcharge the super. Underrated combo.
I just got the roll last night. I'll check it out.
Ehh, that sounds mid at best. Focusing an entire build on just popping your super isn’t exactly the definition of amazing gameplay for most people.
Pro tip for hoil. The consecration initial slam and second slam count as two abilities so timing it right can give you a longer regen timer and one full melee charge gives you 2x ability recharge.
I’m hoping that either over the course of the episodes or during frontiers prismatic opens up even more
A pretty underrated one is severance contact, clears rooms in gms with ease but inmost contact is my fav overall, crazy add clear with ability spam and inmost works with trancendance making both melees and grenades jolt enemies
Would have been too much fun and made too much sense, therefore Bungie didn’t do it.
Prismatic Titan would have benefited far more from Into the Fray, but Titans aren’t allowed to be good.
They just dont want us to have star eater synthos
Titan needs some of the HOIL power returned, a plethora of reworks, and something like controlled demolition on prismatic.
When I heard about prismatic I envisioned a roaring flames/BoW build using throwing hammer only to be disappointed by getting absolutely shafted as a titan main. Then I saw that we could of had a HoIL/Contact bonk Titan and almost cried
Tbf they did say prismatic would start with some more underused abilities, but like...what tha hell am i supposed to do aside from consecration lol
@@jancelpinales5228 yeah the biggest problem is that titans most underused aspects don’t synergize well and provide very little protection. Just having bastion, BoW, or sol invictus would make prismatic competitive with base subclasses. Even the cure from throwing hammer would help out.
Prism titan would be the most broken thing this game has ever seen if it had banner of war
Im pretty sure concentration slam is supposed to destroy ice crystals, but it's just bugged right now.
I thought it was such a cool and fun combo until it didn't work lol lame
diamond lances too. kinda unreal
Sad when they even hyped it up as being able to do that before release, and then they released it bugged so that it doesn’t work at all. Just shows how much thought and testing Bungie puts into Titan: aka none.
Titans really got shafted with prismatic
Armamentarium and Abeyant is what I've been running in GM, I just love having multiple ways of deploying suspend especially from a distance.
I got lucky and got inmost light and syntho on my first ever run of dual. Fun but i would hope for some more diverse options on titan.
Question: if I’m running Inmost + Star Eater, overcharge my super with orbs, and then swap to Eternal Warrior + Star Eater, do I lose my orb stacks?
Ive gotten probably 20 stoicisms none of them were viable for anything but glimmer from dismantling
Always use some jolt in Gambit it slaps harder than the other perks as it chains better
Inmost contact is the most entertaining thing in the game. I beat the GM running that with frenzied consecration spam and I basically just farmed res tokens the whole freaking time while my squad did the mechanics. That is top S tier, and it isn’t even remotely close.
When I saw the potential combinations I knew I wanted Abeyant+Synthos. Finally got it on like my tenth roll and it’s so fire🔥
at least there’s like eternal warrior and star eaters for dps i guess lol
HoIL+Contact has been on my prismatic Titan since I've gotten it (I haven't gotten HoIL+Synthos yet), and it's pretty damn solid. Unstobbable champ? Consecration Ignition stuns it. Overload champ? Consecration jolt stuns it. Barrier champ? Suspend with grenade, Consecration kills it. Still would be nice to have some more options aside from Consecration, but it works.
hoarfrost makes even less sense when ridecap is an exotic that exists and couldve taken that spot AND synergized with diamond lance
Can someone explain why they’re paired up if you can only equip one at a time??
Has a list been produced from this grid?
@@Huskers1028 just tested it again can confirm you are sadly right it doesn’t work guess i had someone break those crystals first time around :(
Honestly if they gave us pyro gala or cruias with star eaters it might save prismatic titan then give the warlocks some op dmg combo too and just leave hunters alone might be balanced thoughts ?
Got lucky pulling HOIL and Stareaters and it felt amazing with prismatic titan. Im focusing into void so its nice to have quick grenade up time from HOIL to spam volitile rounds and running buried blood line gives you devour, weaken, and overshield due to the seasonal artifact. Concecration + Knockout and frenzied blade basically giving you 3x melee nukes is great too along with them basically being infinite when in transcendence.
The severance and contact one is reasonable. Makes it a good thing to hit the target. You know you aren't going to die with one or two melees
Ima take my Severance/Contact roll and keep causing fireworks
That's what I'm using right now. There's really no fun pris builds for us. Very let down.
This is mine as well, it is so much fun
I'm having a great time using that one. Light em up!
Mactics: *Says Spirit of the Hoarfrost is bad because you're gonna plink at the crystals to break it*
Me: No! Smash it with concentration! The Crystal wall still counts as a darkness debuff!
Consecration doesn't smash the wall.
consecration is currently bugged so it doesn’t always break crystals not to mention are we really wasting a melee charge to break crystals considering how bad our cooldown times are
@@luisreyeskc1560 Even when it's bugged, you can still use it to shatter. It's not really any different than throwing a glacier grenade.
spirit of the bear and spirit of verity combined with void grenade weaken, grenade final blows cure, & grenade final blow gives void weapons volatile rounds is like the only really fun prismatic titan build ive used. you can parry with unbreakable and basically always get a kill and some super energy without using a lot of grenade energy or you can fully block a lot of damage and with x5 death throws you deal 250,000, definitely even more if the enemy is already weakened and you have the artifact perk that does more void damage to weakened targets.
I got lucky to get HOIL/Star-Eaters on my first one, but I've been needing a proper build to make it shine
Dawg that’s what I’ve been saying from the beginning about prismatic Titan. The only actual good/effective end game build that I’ve seen everywhere has been throw on synthos and use consecration with frenzied blade. Ggs go next. Shit is so boring to me now.
It’s been out for 3 weeks 😭
I feel/hope Bungie will add more aspects/fragments as more episodes come out. We just need more variety across all classes
Devs saw what Titans had and just gave it their favorite classes. Then just gave Titan's breadcrumbs.
At least there’s hazardous propulsion
