Assassin’s/Liar frees up an aspect slot so you can run threaded specter for an extra source of damage while still having invisibility on powered melee kills, or every other kill
You said ascension is bad no, YOU are wrong i love my helicopter move Tbh it feels like Mac is so married to the combination blow prismatic that it completely skews his perspective on other possible builds Don't get be wrong, its good, but it is also a snoozefest, you are basically playing an arc hunter all over again. Also as strong as it is, i would not bring a full melee build into a GM Threaded spike is cool with caliban too, ye know but if I get a HOIL i'd run it with stasis melee to deal with 2 different champs at will
Verity buffs Grapple I was able to get double damage with Cali/Verity class item tested on Carl, radiant also buffs this. I hit five red bars with The Call sidearm and one hit grapple attack triggering Caliban's
Foe tracer + gyrfalcon is actually an insanely good combo. Ive been running grapple melee + smoke bomb with the call, graviton lance, edge transit but depending on the situation other void guns can be swapped in. Basically you look around for an orange bar (or higher), throw your smoke bomb and then kill all the other ads with graviton. The multiple ticks from smoke bomb reproc foetracer enough for those 10 seconds to feel like forever. For champs you just stun, throw smoke bomb, spam edge transit to kill before the stun ends. I use threader specter + stylish since i pretty much have all my abilities up whenever I want. Mix in some grapples to help get your dodge back even faster (i pretty much always have my dodge up anyway) and then youre set. (Fragments are balance, mending, protection, purpose, and the last one can be whatever so I use solitude to make tormentors less annoying)
Fellow hunters, anyone else notice a change to fan of knives trajectory that dropped with the expansion? I used that melee non-stop last season so my muscle memory is pretty good with it and as soon as I played the first campaign mission I realized something must’ve changed. It now sends your middle knife above your crosshair, kinda where the very top of your handcannon hip fire reticle circle is. I am almost certain the middle knife went dead center last season. I feel like I might be crazy so if anyone else has noticed this let me know lol
Fair enough, but what combination of perks do you think would be good for threaded spike, and withering blades? (Fan knives are kinda….there, but don’t really have as much utility as the other three melees. Same for grenades, he mentions dark grenades have a lot more utility than light grenades, with duskfield providing frost armor stacks when paired with renewal, and grapple melee literally being the best damage strategy in the game when paired with the navigator exotic trace rifle and synthoceps (has the highest damage in the game, search warlords ruin titan speedrun for context) comparing the dark grenades to swarm grenade and magnetic grenade…neither are really strong, and the arc grenade isn’t strong either, when compared to the utility of the dark grenades.) radiant dodge is something he didn’t bring up, since we don’t really need radiant dodge, as we have facet of dawn and radiant orbs of power this episode. Now, dragon’s shadow plus sixth coyote plus facet of command with withering blades/gambler’s dodge and a chill clip weapon is slept on, as the highest damage set up in the game before final shape dropped was a dragon’s shadow whisper of impetus build on stasis hunter with the fourth Housman, mountaintop and edge transit, and that was without the enhanced perks, and that build was the highest dps in the game to a boss (dps testing was done on Templar from Vault of Glass). That combination (class item of sixth coyote plus dragons shadow) plus facet of command(reload all weapons upon freezing a target) plus golden gun super plus withering blades, a chill clip special GL, fourth horseman and edge transit, is probably very strong for boss damage on enemies like war priest, Templar and others. Celestial still hunt prismatic marksman vs whisper of the worm on Taken King is still up for debate as far as I know in terms of what’s better for damage. Mactics does say at the end of his video that this ranking is based on first impressions, so that’s the most obviously strong stuff, and I can understand why he picked syntho call an and liar caliban. For low tier to high tier end game content, if a hunter wants to run in and punch, those are the best combinations, and he’s been remaking the same assassins cowl/liars handshake build for almost two years. He’s got that run in and melee style for Hunter down really well. The hang back and wait for dps style isn’t as popular, but means you’re more useful to your team for dps. Hunter’s main role in Destiny at the moment, is ad clear and dps. It is possible to make a support hunter with tether but it’s not how Hunter is built to play. Warlocks are much more the support/ad clear style, given their only option for good dps is strand or solar. Then you’ve got Titan whose play style leans more into ad clear and defense and less into everything else. Problem is, there isn’t much reason for good defense, so most titans re utilize their kit for ad clear and crowd control and survivability, their damage? They’ve got thundercrash and strand titan grapple melee with syntho for damage. There’s a reason Titan meta was strand titan for a whole year and a half, they didn’t have much else after the bonk hammer nerf. Now idk about prismatic Titan, or prismatic warlock, or if they’re super useful, I have a feeling that yes they are, and titans actually have a good dps option with the throwing axes, since that’s a dps super (cast it, can use instant, and switch to weapons for damage phase.) Titan utility is probably really strong, which leaves warlocks…and idk about warlocks, but the strand super is their best for dps last I remembered, but song of flame seems to have options.
Dragon's Coyote is so damn fun. Being able to constantly use Ascension, which reloads all your guns and gives you a massive handling boost, is just awesome. Plus, you'll never fail a jumping puzzle since you have FIVE JUMPS, as well as a Grapple if you so choose.
Hes def tripping, like if ur doing a dmg rotation with no autoloading weapons what you gonna do then lmaoo Its genuinely really strong and I'm surprised he doesn't understand that
@@gyrozeppeli8303yeah but you’re using a whole exotic slot JUST to reload and even still you lose time cause you have to activate ascension where as simply grinding for weapons you can very easily obtain auto loading weapons
When you're talking about gyrfalcon for the first time and mention Facet of Bravery, that was a fragment on void before gyrfalcon was an exotic, called Echo of Instability. People just didn't use it when void 3.0 came out because we had artifact mods that gave volitile rounds even easier.
Not to mention hunters didn't have any exotics that buffed void grenades back then. You pretty much needed collective obligation in order to mimic what you can do on hunter today.
Yeah, that's what i'm thinking. Getting volatile rounds on grenade kill vs getting volatile rounds every time you proc stylish exectuioner. One of those has WAY more uptime than the other.
Youre tripping on Caliban/Coyote is best used for Threaded Spike or Withering Blade. Multi leveled ignitions, and Overload/Unstoppable stun on dodges is nice
@@alexanderspassov4759 I mean it's his opinion. I think there are sleeper picks here for sure. I think inmostlight/gyrfalcon and caliban/arachne are pretty good, for example. I disagree with a lot of the list, but I don't think he means to say it's objective
yeah I was just using this today. there are probably better ones but the grenade recharge rate while you’re doing the melee dodge combo is ridiculous. and the double dodge to Instantly freeze a big group is fun
I think you're underestimating how good Gyrfalcons is with volatile rounds honestly. We already have the same fragment to get volatile rounds on grenade kills on void itself but NOBODY uses that instead of Gyrfalcons if they want volatile rounds on Hunter. On Prismatic it's even worse because as you mentioned the grenade options are generally awful at getting kills. Galanor + Gyrfalcons in particular is one of my god-rolls due to the fact that it gives you both of the best void builds at once. You have tether spam via Galanor filling in for Orpheus Rigs AND you have volatile spam via Gyrfalcons. Absolutely amazing build and Buried Bloodline in particular makes it even better as it grants you a source of devour too which is the only thing prismatic hunter is really missing from void. Void weapons aren't even really a downside this season in particular with expanding abyss. Volatile rounds are ALSO anti-barrier which is important to remember, while volatile is a debuff to trigger stylish executioner. Might not be a huge deal this season with radiant orbs but anti-barrier will be much harder to come by when that's no longer a perk if you can't have constant uptime on your melee ability, particularly as Radiant only lasts 5 seconds on prismatic compared to 15 on most Solar builds. I also HIGHLY suspect that the combination blow build on Prismatic Hunter is going to get nerfed to hell with how insanely broken it is, which is going to make other options much more important compared to only focusing on those builds with Calibans + Synthos or Liar's. Not to mention the other "best" build being Nighthawk GG with Still Hunt which similarly will likely get nerfed significantly.
Volatile is the worst of the 3 light elemental damage spreaders, volt shot(jolt) and incan(scorch) is way better and require no investment in your exotic, aspect, fragment, or artifact. Building around volatile was good when it 1st came out but it's dead.
You have no idea how to build. Void and Prismatic are not the same thing. You can have perma uptime in prismatic with volatile and better exotic choices.
Something that might be worth considering and might be a sleeper build is having the foetracer/lair or foetracer/synthoceps class exotic with the Legend of Acrius shotgun since it is an arc power weapon it will receive a damage buff from foetracer when using combination blow along with the buff from trench barrel. Might be a good alternate in place of sword dps
Caliban Cyrt for fun, Inmost Cert for hard content. I run a The Call and Graviton Lance with the Unravel/volatile rounds. Threaded Spike, Grapple, Gunpowder and Stylish. The ignitions on threaded are hilarious in at level content, but the ability Gen is great for 100% woven in endgame. Keep in mind, Cyrt works with Gunpowder too so Woven is up all the time.
I’ll be honest…it feels like there is a severe lack of creativity. You are relying so much on Combination blow that you generally aren’t looking at anything else as an option. It’s strong I won’t pretend it isn’t, but there is more to the game than just that.
By and large agree, but in defense of foetracer not having to run 3 surges is super nice for mod flexibility. Really helps uptime on a lot of abilities while not losing out on the damage :)
Verity/inmost light with gunpowder gamble basically gives hunter pocket nukes on demand. Especially if you’re running the call/graviton lance with facet of command, giving you infinite volitile and unraveling rounds which in turn gives you infinite gunpowder gambles
I’m glad someone else said the same thing about tangle seasonal perk. I was saying this the second I started using the new Strand Titan arms. Combined with Final Warning and a 1-2 punch shotty is nuts.
Just watched each of these tier lists in reverse order from release and I gotta say: I love that the only tier that's consistent throughout is "That One Horse Drawing" tier lmao
I have caliban liars, and assassin cowl + lairs. My question is…. Why is assassin cowl + liars no good? If you use the strand fragment you get 6 slots instead of 5.. you get a decoy which takes 100% agro for your whole team as well as multiple hatchlings that seek out and destroy targets. Is having an extra fragment slot + decoys somehow not better than fire that spreads on targets that die instantly anyway? Thats what I don’t get…. I have both and assassin lets me not have to use stylish executioner…. Someone explain what makes caliban better than an extra fragment slot, decoys clones, hatchlings, etc?
i have both caliban+ liar and assassin + liar and i use more assassin + liar. Caliban + liar with stylish executioneer have a lot more one shot capability for champion, but i find assassint + liar more useful for the team, the decoy is insane and the explosio+ threadling does really good damage. plus you can 1-2p
Just a heads up with the spreadsheet, the exotic Cyrtarachne is mispelled under both the function tab and the tracker column making them unable to be tracked lol. might want to fix that bit
My personal favorite thing is that a lot of bosses are floating and/or can't be melee'd. Which makes all these melee builds very niche. Fun, but niche.
I have all the best hunter class items and my favorite build at this point is synthos + heart of inmost light. I run grapple + threaded spike. Basically 1-2p grapple melee is so potent on this subclass that I hate handicapping it with combination blow, which causes synthos to do 30% instead of 165%, even for grapple melee. With inmost light, you can grapple to a tangle to constantly maintain x2 HOIL regen. Then melee and gamblers dodge can be spammed quite a bit too, and get your grapple back in under 10 seconds if you lose it. It’s very easy to make tangles with the threaded spike, which is also snytho-boosted 165%. Liars + Caliban is best in slot for many activities and players. But I am addicted to the 500k-1.6m grapple melee.
Grapple melee benefits from both melee damage increases and grenade damage increases. Warlocks were able to run potent navigator builds last season because verity buffed grapple melee.
@@TheRockemsockm Does transcendence grenade benefit from Verity as Hunter nade does loads of damage? And gunpowder benefits from verity as well which is nice
@@kommanderkermit4874the transcendent grenades are just super stunning nades basically they don’t do a lot of damage i’ve noticed, just gives them a bunch of debuffs that gotta be used with weapons that match debuff to do damage that’s used for those nades a lot of the time
Since syntho is possibly generally the stacking nature of the spirit makes it less desirable. However, it is still worth holding onto that cause A: it's a good subsitution. B: Hunters def causing syntho to get nerfed
Gunpowder Gamble gives free ignitions, is great for crowd clears or burning down heavier enemies, and (when they finally fix it) will be an easy way to proc Facet of Mending Ascension turning your dodge into a jolting move while also proccing amplify, which scales twice this season for resistance Winter's Shroud is something you're probably already running with Stylish so no need for me to sing the praises of it's additional effect And Threaded Spectre practically forcing enemies to target something other than you is no joke one of the best aspects to me now that I've been forced to play with it. There is not one bad aspect on Prismatic Hunter, they all have their uses and abilities and can work into a ton of builds.
I feel like there is a good argument for Assassins/Liars to be placed higher. I have both Assassins/Liars and Calibans/Liars, but haven't done any endgame content yet in which the difference between these combinations could be more significant. While I don't think the prior is ultimately as good as the latter, the ability to freeze and shatter an enemy after dodging near them twice which can detonate both Threaded Specters if they are close enough to the shatter has a pretty similar effect to an ignition. On top of that you have a decent amount of light and dark damage from just using your melee ability and dodge so you charge Transcendent much faster than I think you can with Calibans/Liars (I almost prefer Assassins/Liars just for this). With the extra facet slot from Threaded Specter you can run what I consider the core Facets (Ruin, Courage, Protection, and Purpose) along with Sacrifice and Devotion to further enhance your ability to recharge Transcendent, or even swap one of those out for Generosity (for more team support as you can activate Transcendent frequently), or Balance (so you can have your grenade up essentially all the time which allows you to use the combination of combination blows + grapple to easily get rapid arc kills for amplified as well as making you more mobile). Threaded Specter also provides more team support as it pulls agro not just off of you (like invisibility does), but also off of your team. Additionally if you are in a position where you are unable to turn invisible but need an escape it can provide that.
IMO you didn't gave enough credit to inmost light / coyote. It's very good at generating melee and grenade energy + it synergize with winter's shroud giving you more uptime for the DR. It's still inferior to syntho I think but that's not that horse drawing.
My biggest problem with these rankings is; Spirit of Inmost Light and Spirit of The Liar should be above Caliban Liars because of the fact that with Tessellation you can get a very high damage shot over and over again after using the Combo Blow and Gamblers Dodge rotation, mostly for enemies you can't punch and deal massive amounts of damage but also to include into the rotations every now and again. Not to mention with the Duskfield Grenades you can stun 2/3 champion types intrinsically just by using Tessellation. It's better for solo endgame content but an insanely good build nonetheless.
I think this is slept on it’s the reason I farmed for that role. I have the two he calls god tier and I don’t use them anymore when I got the inmost+liars roll.
My first and only item rn is caliban's and verity. Didn't even know what verity did, but the synergy with gunpowder gamble + grapple melee + crafted the call is insane. This combo with threaded spike to proc ignitions on EVERY ENEMY hit with the spike, is one of the most insane crowd control builds I can image. Not to mention is extremely fun and satisfying. Maybe I'm coping bc it's my only one, but I think it's great and fits in very good easily
I personally think that inmost light and verity’s is legit s tier. Inmost light is amazing on hunter due to the already quick dodge cooldown and having a natural very good double melee in withering blade. Magnetic grenade while not being the best is still really good single target. While prismatic though death throes goes hard on the frostyfirey spike nade. I think its the combo that bets takes advantage of being transcendent which is the coolest part of prismatic. That and Im honestly already bored of prismatic punchy hunter
I got fotracer and falcon and I'm using it with wavesplitter and I have melt stuff and I suppress everything. Once it's level 3 is chunks adds and champion like butter
Thank you Mac for the opinion on the Renewal/Syntho roll as I just got one the other day and was looking into it for the "Dodge-Punchy" build I've been using.
I have this roll and I feel like it'll be good in gms. Once those roll around we'll probably see a bunch of youtubers saying stuff like "You need this op build NOW!" Just like with combination blow builds. Right now people aren't really experimenting bc combination blow is so strong on prismatic it makes every other build look bad in 90% of content
@@woomyboy98 Combination blow is good if you're running activities solo or if there is enough ad density for you to keep going invisible and keeping the loop
One thing to mention about grapple melees and liars handshake + combination blow combo, liars buffs the first punch after the grapple melee, hitting g for huge damage if you already have combination blow stacks, very quick burst dps, especially with a 1-2 punch shotty.
The main one I’ve tested and actually disagree with the most is Liars + inmost light. Honestly, it doesn’t sound like it makes a big difference, but like instant cooldown on grapple and not needing to worry if you mess up combination / roll combo is so nice in practice. I got the liars + calibans roll, but actually find it difficult to stack combination blow for elite damage because every melee kill wipes the entire group of adds. Great if there’s 100 enemies like in the exotic mission, but in normal activities with rooms of 10 enemies, it’s actually hard to get to x3 combination with calibans. Funny how killing stuff too fast makes the build more difficult to play around, but yea! Don’t sleep on Liars / inmost. It stays in my inventory for less convuluted fights
Caliban/ arachne is really good, pairing with stylish & gunpowder you have 3 sources of grenades (inc prismatic) to get woven mail, its super easy to pull off gunpowder using threaded spike + caliban and the grapple melee just does its own thing to set it up. Running it i had gunpowder gamble up every time as soon as it was off cooldown as the grenade itself counts towards its own count, plus constant woven mail and invisibility. The fragments do give it some buff as well but you are required to run a specific weapon loadout to make the most out of it
Yeah I run this with coyote instead of cyrt and it’s insane. Honestly feels every bit as strong as the liars builds but you actually get to do something other than punch. Plus in harder content you don’t have to risk getting close.
Verity/HOIL on hunter is really fun. I always have every ability whenever I want it to be available and I get juiced magnetic nades to chunk when I need them to lol. Also Caliban/Syntho 😩 Edit: I did some testing with my Verity/HOIL, there was no difference in shatter damage with or without max death throes. Without any other investment, both sources ended up with a max of about 17k damage on a shatter.
Which? Also combo blow is unironically the best melee: if it wasn't for it being bugged and stealing stats away from grapple then it would be the best melee period with caliban syntho. Though, a swap off for damage phase is clearly needed since bug
Hmm I think you have. Strange editing issue going on on this video it cuts kinda weird around the 18:50 mark. I was hoping to see your thoughts on shards and synthos review but it seems to be cut out
The only thing about using Gunpowder, Gamble and Grapple is that you need to be incredibly conscious of the Gunpowder Gamble cooldown. It will come up the instant it comes off cooldown. A Gamble when you want to Grapple, Grapple when you want to Gamble will be lethal. SUPER fun build tho.
Syntho beats out liars with perfect setup: navigator grapple point, one two punch shotgun, and tether allows you to chain grapple melees while becoming invis off shared damage from hitting a tethered boss with shotgun to become invis before grapple melee hits boss. Insane numbers!
Thought the Caliban/Synthoceps CI I have wasnt that great so I'm trying it now because of this video and oh man is this thing crazy! The damage and explosions are top tier
That was always a fragment in void as well. Gyrfalcons is so good because it makes volatile and invisibility infinitely chainable with Trappers Ambush.
Inmost light/coyote is missed placed. Run it with withering blade and gunpowder gamble…… 2 dodges, 2 melee, and 2 grenades. It should be in the very good tier.
I gotta be honest tho, Liar + assasin + threaded specter are like the exodia in a team, they are modt definitely help with team survival. Do you think there should be a tier list based on the team utilities for hunters?
So dumb question here but if I’m running a combination blow build with synthoceps or liars am I supposed to punch the boss? I know it’s great for add clear but I don’t think I’ll be able to just keep punching a boss rather than evading and fire with my weapons instead.
Do you think you could make a strong setup for Doomfang pauldrons using the Prismatic Subclass? Being able to regen so much super energy from shield throw melee with any of the prismatic titan supers seems pretty strong, I just have not unlocked everything on my titan yet for me to test myself. So far I am enjoying launching thundercrashes every minute in casual content.
I'm going to argue that threaded specter with the combination blow loop is nuts. You have a sea of spectres distracting enemies while you are going full tyson
Forgive me if I’m incorrect, but didn’t bungie say Combination blow is no longer considered a “Powered Melee” unless the ability icon is fully charged? Would that affect calibans liability?
I thought you used to glaze gyrfalcon being one of void hunters best options, and when paired with galanor it's essentially orpheus rig+. What made you change your mind with volatile rounds not being good anymore? Personally I think the pairing powercreeps void as a whole besides wanting to use omni which puts it in at least very good
Just infinitely better options. Prismatic is some unfathomable power creep. Theres a reason you dont see anyone running non-prismatic anymore, its *THAT* much better than everything else.
Am I using combination blow wrong? I don't have a good class item yet but when I use combination blow with the liars handshake gloves it takes like four or five punches to kill a red bar in salvation's edge
Does caliban proc from the strand melee? Like throw it and every enemy that does before it returns explodes? Edit: tried it when I got a roll with caliban. Only on the first one it looks like. Shame. Would have loved to see multiple explosions from the thread haha. This one also came with synthos
I had to work ik the garden but when i saw this pop up i asked if i could watch it but i the time i watched i had to work that double SO YOU BETTER LIKE THIS👹
I got verities and foe tracer and was super hyped to do a gunpowder gamble build but verities wasn’t buffing the gunpowder gamble and I wasn’t getting extra damage when I got kills with the gunpowder gamble. Sad fr.
Thank you for moving inmost cyrtarachnes, I have this roll, I use it with ascension, withering, and swarm nade, it’s actually gas, loving the constant abilities and woven, as well as constant ignitions, jolt, and shatters
Weird question...Isn't the idea of Caliban/Synthoceps counter productive? You need to be surrounded for the damage increase from Synth, and the moment you do a melee Caliban explodes it all away.
wait why should you not dismantle the 4fun and horse drawing class items? would it not be way better to just run the basic exotic (good part of the horse) and get additional profits?
Ophidian + Star Eater for DPS Rotations imo belongs at least in Not Trolling, if base supers get buffed or changed in the future for prismatic hunter it could be very viable over something like Celestial swapping
I actually like the synergy between coyote and dragon because you essentially get both gambler's and marksman dodge in one and with coyote you don't need a melee kill to fully freeze. Where I find I enjoy this pairing the most is either with a wave frame grenade launcher because I can dodge all I want while keeping gl loaded the whole loop. dodge, waveframe, melee dodge. and if I some how mess up the loop I have the spare dodge just to reload and get that melee back. I agree that it wouldn't be top tier but I would put it slightly higher. My favorite use for the pair though is with ergo sum. when I'm running ES I don't rely on melee as much but having the coyote spirit lets me get 2 quick dodges off to freeze enemies quickly then hit them with the waveframe sword shot. I would like to have something else with coyote in these cases instead of dragon but its sort of helpful to have my other weapons reload. Not optimized by any means though. Obviously the melee builds are the meta but I like getting away from the obvious meta to see how far other builds will take me.

Fair enough, but what combination of perks do you think would be good for threaded spike, and withering blades? That combination (class item of sixth coyote plus dragons shadow) plus facet of command(reload all weapons upon freezing a target) plus golden gun super plus withering blades, a chill clip special GL, fourth horseman and edge transit, is probably very strong for boss damage on enemies like war priest, Templar and others. Now idk about prismatic Titan, or prismatic warlock, or if they’re super useful, I have a feeling that yes they are, and titans actually have a good dps option with the throwing axes, since that’s a dps super (cast it, can use instant, and switch to weapons for damage phase.) Titan utility is probably really strong, which leaves warlocks…and idk about warlocks, but the strand super is their best for dps last I remembered, but song of flame seems to have options.
problem is that that's kinda where prismatic hunter ends. There's not a lot of other decently viable things you can do with it.
Is combination blow a hunter melee? There's your answer
Because if you’re not using it rn you’re kinda throwing
Dude you are tripping about assassins cowl + liars. Throw on threaded spector over stylish executioner and the build slaps.
Thank you
Stylish gives a 150% melee damage bonus if you’re invisible and leave invis by punching, so you really don’t want to take it off.
@@smartyunoexactly
@@smartyunoHonestly that sounds like something that should be innate to coming out of stealth and not to do with the aspect itself.
@@smartyuno if it was needed, liars build just doesnt need that 150% for where it excels
Just got that cloak and love it
Hes def tripping, like if ur doing a dmg rotation with no autoloading weapons what you gonna do then lmaoo
Its genuinely really strong and I'm surprised he doesn't understand that
@@gyrozeppeli8303yeah but you’re using a whole exotic slot JUST to reload and even still you lose time cause you have to activate ascension where as simply grinding for weapons you can very easily obtain auto loading weapons
Lowkey vortex grenades are so good
Verity does actually work with grapple melee since it counts as both a nade and melee on hit

Inmost + coyote is A tier imo , got mine and can’t take it off. Double melee double dodge, you always have abilities up with right build.
yeah I was just using this today. there are probably better ones but the grenade recharge rate while you’re doing the melee dodge combo is ridiculous. and the double dodge to Instantly freeze a big group is fun
I love this combo too. It's constant ability spamming.
I've using a hoil + gyrfalcons cloak with a repulser brace recluse and have been loving it, combination blow build is super boring imo
@@TheRockemsockmhow
@@Arth0n how do you get different roles on the recluse? Or you just lucky and got it a while back 😅
Something that might be worth considering and might be a sleeper build is having the foetracer/lair or foetracer/synthoceps class exotic with the Legend of Acrius shotgun since it is an arc power weapon it will receive a damage buff from foetracer when using combination blow along with the buff from trench barrel.
Gyrfalcons with galanor is actually crazy
In content like Onslaught or the new duo mission they go crazy. I would even say it goes to "you win"
That constant overshield with repulsor brace weapons saves me every time. Love the new duality mission
I’ll be honest…it feels like there is a severe lack of creativity. You are relying so much on Combination blow that you generally aren’t looking at anything else as an option.
It’s strong I won’t pretend it isn’t, but there is more to the game than just that.
I knew what drawing you were talking about before you even showed it 😂
cultured
By and large agree, but in defense of foetracer not having to run 3 surges is super nice for mod flexibility. Really helps uptime on a lot of abilities while not losing out on the damage :)
Verity’s DOES buff grapple melee 10:44. Grapple melee is coded as both a grenade and a melee so mods for either one work with it.
I have a Gallanor + Gyrfalcon, on a prismatic void build + destabilizing rounds weapon, it is really good
Syntho also works with glaives like wintersbite which slows on hit so it synergizes with stylish.
Just watched each of these tier lists in reverse order from release and I gotta say:
I love that the only tier that's consistent throughout is "That One Horse Drawing" tier lmao
Caliban's with threaded spike just makes my brain feel good, i haven't even tried to get a different cloak
Ive been so Combo Blow locked that I never considered Calibans would work like that
Grapple melee benefits from both melee damage increases and grenade damage increases. Warlocks were able to run potent navigator builds last season because verity buffed grapple melee.
Verity is trash on Hunter because we have zero grenade builds. It will remain trash because Melee also boosts grappler.
verity is literally only good on warlock
Gunpowder Gamble gives free ignitions, is great for crowd clears or burning down heavier enemies, and (when they finally fix it) will be an easy way to proc Facet of Mending
Ascension turning your dodge into a jolting move while also proccing amplify, which scales twice this season for resistance
Winter's Shroud is something you're probably already running with Stylish so no need for me to sing the praises of it's additional effect
And Threaded Spectre practically forcing enemies to target something other than you is no joke one of the best aspects to me now that I've been forced to play with it.
There is not one bad aspect on Prismatic Hunter, they all have their uses and abilities and can work into a ton of builds.
Cytarachne and Caliban paired with threaded spike, gunpowder gamble and grapple grenade is great, infinite woven mail
Caliban + Verity absolutely cooks ads with treaded spike and gunpowder
I wanted to wait till the end(I'm at Mac's review of Spirit of Foetracer, at around 16:00), but wouldn't Transcendent grenades also proc the effect?
Is there a spreadsheet with this tier list? Identifying the exotics based on the picture is a bit rough.
Keep one of each. Doing the math 64 X 3 = 192 That uses the 100 extra vault space and then almost doubles it.
Foetracer/stareater has been doing great in dps for me
I feel like there is a good argument for Assassins/Liars to be placed higher.
Gurfalcon foetracer is wild cause volatile counts as ability damage for whatever reason
I would really like a build on the cyrtyrachne and renewal class item. I've been messing around with it, but I stink at this.
im curious about this roll and then getting amplified with the artifact, i wonder how much damage reduction we can stack
Crazy with the shade on Foe Liars. Combination blow and Dead Weight 1-2 punch.
Inmost light gets the x2 buff from grapple. 1x from the grapple cast and the 2x when u grapple melee someone
Got my renewal/liars.. which is perfect for my duskfield/combo priz build
I got renewal and synthoceps
Renewal liars plus woven mail from strand super and fragment, plus galvanic artifact, plus resistance mods + resistance fragment = never die.
I got this roll earlier, looking forward to giving it a run out
Does verity's buff grapple damage? Just curious because the grapple melee can proc the orb on grenade kill but also can proc the orb on melee kill mod
Also Caliban/Syntho 😩
Edit: I did some testing with my Verity/HOIL, there was no difference in shatter damage with or without max death throes. Without any other investment, both sources ended up with a max of about 17k damage on a shatter.
For the Foetracer with combination blow, this realistically only applyies for like crota but what about Legend of Acrius
foetracer with liars and an arc shotgun with trench barrel would work great for running and gunning, basically onslaught
do you think nighthawk is still better for gm nightfalls over calibans/liars?
Star Eaters and Storms Edge actually does some pretty good damage. You should test it out if you get the chance.
Bro shitting on one of if not the best hunter build right off the rip, and still stands by combination blow
I was hoping to see your thoughts on shards and synthos review but it seems to be cut out
Liked and described for rizzing me up in the intro as promised
I’m so glad you’re doing this, thank you, can’t wait for the Titan video
Agreed, currently what I’m using and it’s insane you literally never run out of abilities to use. Spam as much as you want lmao I love it
I gotta be honest tho, Liar + assasin + threaded specter are like the exodia in a team, they are modt definitely help with team survival.
Would that affect calibans liability?
no, bungie hasn't nerfed combination blow

Weird question...Isn't the idea of Caliban/Synthoceps counter productive? You need to be surrounded for the damage increase from Synth, and the moment you do a melee Caliban explodes it all away.

Theoretically, you could run Assassins Cowl to replace Stylish with Decoys and get an extra fragment.
Engram . Blue can make tracking multiples of Class items / Ergo Sum Swords (and much more) alot easier also. for those whom have not tried it yet.
Make sure you make one of these tier list for titans, thank
is dragon and coyote for PVP not the best for hunters?
Depends what weapons you use if you’re using handcannons slideshot makes dragon pretty much useless
Galanor and Synthos would actually go crazy with a grapple melee build.
I feel like galanor + star eater scales would be nasty
