EQ How-To 004 - Kia EV6 & Ioniq 5 Utility/Camping Mode

How do you activate Camping Mode, or Utility Mode as it is called in the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5? This video shows you how. When at the drive-in theatre or when camping, if you require heat or air conditioning or if you want to use the radio for prolonged periods of time, Utility Mode is the feature to use to avoid draining your 12V battery.

Love the final tip of turning off the lights. In my eNiro they take 100-150W

While I like the Utility Mode, I wish one could turn off ALL of the interior/dash lights. Even with the headlights out, and the dash dimmed, there are still lamps lit that would need to be covered if actually using the car for camping. I'll probably have my wife sew up a dash cover to block out all of the light, but being able to shut off and, of course, turn back on the dash lamps would be really nice.

That is a good point. You can disable the ambient lights and turn off the center touchscreen, but the instrument cluster will remain lit. A cluster cover would be a good idea to solve the issue.

Salut André, question comme ça en passant : comment trouve tu cela pas d'essuie glace sur la kunette arrière de ta EV6 ?

L'arrière de la EV6 est fait plus comme une berline, avec la vitre inclinée, un rebord plat et un aileron (bec de canard), comme le design de la Tesla Model 3, la Jaguar i-Pace, et plusieurs autres. Donc aucun problème, pas de saleté ou de troubles de vision. Ce n’est pas comme l’arrière coupé droit de la Ioniq 5.
