Best vocals I’ve ever heard . Fan for 30 plus years . A TRUE fan.
Me too. Takes me to another place. No other singer does that to me. Love him

The EXACT way I feel! Geoff''s vocals and charisma, coupled with the musicianship and songwriting talents of the entire band made you FEEL something that was nothing short of a lightning strike!
A fan since '83...40 yrs.
I'm just another one of those early fans. Having The Warning tape in my Walkman in a schoolbus on my way to a badminton competition. :o)
ALSO ENJOY, THE WHISPER, NEUE REGEL, I WILL REMEMBER.....
Ohhh Cassandra....perfection.
Can we be honest for a second???? I am 50 years old and I am a huge Queensrÿche fan… But can we please be honest?? AT THIS TIME Queensryche WAS A IRON MAIDEN WANNABE!!!! other than Geoff Tate….. there was really not that much that was truly special about them at this time… Geoff Tate is still in my eyes probably the best ROCK SINGER IN HISTORY…..not just metal but ROCK……but those of you dogging Dream Theater especially Images and Words era…..give me a break…..be some what objective…..if you LIKE Queensrÿche better, that’s your prerogative… But you somehow equating the two bands as if they are peers?…….Is ridiculous…… vocally absolutely…..Geoff Tate is a better singer than James LaBrie….But that doesn’t make James LaBrie a bad singer… He is now, lol… Does Queensrÿche write better….short less complex songs? absolutely……but from a technical standpoint, there’s no comparison… And Dream Theater is probably the most musically advanced/technical Prog rock/metal band that still can write SONGS that has ever existed.
The raw brilliance of this song and album are just unmentionable. These guys shifted thousands of EPs out of the back of metal magazines before they were even signed... All incredibly talented musicians.
EMI signed QR to a multi-year contract and almost destroyed them in 1997. Leading to Chris leaving the band
One of their best songs for sure.
Should have done the live version it blow your mine
Vocal and musical Masterpiece from The Warning. Try I Dream in Infrared and Screaming in Digital from Rage for Order.
1st release was an EP this is Queensryche's 1st full album release and their best in my opinion. Dark, mysterious and beautiful.
One of the best hard rock/metal hybrids to emerge in the 80s but these guys were one of the best bands of the decade and any genre. Great track that is under-heard, glad you took a shot at it. Try The live video for The Lady Wore Black, another banger. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Geoff is the man...balder, but still has pipes.
A truly great band.....Geoff Tate was opera trained........as we can all hear, probably the finest yet most underrated rock singer of all time.
Let me help you: The year is 1984 and I am 17 yeah 1967 Gen X is the origination, completely lost in my youth comes "Warning" . The first debut album Queensryche was both awesome and a head scratcher as Warning was just out of this world in fact after hearing Enforcer I picked up the album cover and sought if Rob Halford was somehow in the mix but nope all Geoff - Incredible.
As you glide past the words meaning nothing to you they were POWERFUL back then but you have to LISTEN.
Alot of people say Queensryche and Iron Maiden sound alike but I don't see it at all.
The guitars in "Child of Fire" sound pretty Maiden to me. I don't hear anything in this particular song (Roads To Madness) but definetly u can appreciate some Maiden influence in that album.
I could be wrong but I recall reading an interview many years ago where Geoff Tate said this song is about his insomnia.
You should check out their Scarborough fair cover, its amazing.
Once he found out the truth he uncovered a rabbit hole than eventually walk down the road to Madness
This is their 1st full length album after their EP. Yes Take Hold is on this same album. Not a bad song on it at all.
RAGE FOR ORDER ALBUM...Hey...Walk in the Shadows
If you want Geoff's best vocals but with less instrumental prowess (if that's the right word) you want to listen to stuff off of Geoff's and my favorite album RAGE FOR ORDER.... I like them all... in fact there DEMO preview album Queen of the Ryche was not my favorite, but caught my attention, it was WARNING that hooked me, and then I couldn't get enough after OPERATION MINDCRIME...and just because I could sing like Geoff, I'm guessing that's why I like Rage for Order the best? I'm not sure---but great album. What gets me is how he and Christ DeGarmo are almost Prophets when it comes to their lyrics...thought provoking and great on the sensory organ...lol.
NM 156 was my favorite from this album, then came Rage for Order, a great album beginning to end...
You need to listen to Rage for order the whole album on vinyl and then tell me what your favorite song is I love Queensryche until they betrayed Jeoff Tate is the ♥ of the band
Please don't forget Rage for Order album
Second album, and this is on the same album as Take hold of the flame.
I think you'd enjoy "Walk in the Shadows" (subtly about vampires). It's from their second album, "Rage for Order". It always makes me smile 'cos Geoff''s voice is just bursting with youthful energy. Great song.
Also, a rare love song (along with "Jet City Woman") from the "Empire" album: "Another Rainy Night".
And from the same album, "Anybody Listening".
One more: From MTV Unplugged 1992, "The Killing Words".
Oh, and "Real World". I think you'll find it surprising.
CUTE puppy by the way! He sure enjoyed chewing on Cassandra's ear bud wires. You know in a few more months this will be HIS channel, and HE'LL be running the show. Just saying. 🧐
London is about jack the ripper i did not realize for a long time
when Geoff sings the line too late it's Time! The way he song the word TIME was Godly 😎🤘
Great vocal performance by Geoff in this song. I think drummer Scott Rockenfield was using a Paiste 3000 Reflector 22" Power Ride Cymbal in studio around this time, & he used black Color Sound 2000's when playing live.
Invest in a record player and listen to the same song on vinyl and it has to be from the era not a reproduction not digitally remastered the original and you can do that with any of their albums up until they came out with Empire
This is from their FIRST album, The Warning. The last track. And yes the same album as Take Hold of the Flame.
Lyrically this song is pretty intriguing. The very last line will give you a huge clue as to what it's about. I, personally, think it's storyline is similar to the old movie: Flatliners. If you look up the movie's synopsis and keep that in mind while listening, it makes the most sense to me.
In this song, Geoff really doesn't hold back. His most expressive song, IMO. This is pretty epic for a first album. Love it!
Don't shush me! Haha. Good one.
Yeah, the muttering part isn't meant to be understood. But I'd sure like to know what's being said!
"Seeing light at the end of sight reminds me I've passed away!"
Great last line!
Love that you're exploring more QR!
Yes Cassandra, I too LOVE strings with metal!!! ❤️❤️
I always thought the lyrics were a nearly perfect fit with a part of the Black Company fantasy series by Glenn Cook. A character's obsession with a evil sorcerer ended with him trapped in a suspended state. and a bunch of other stuff that fits with parts of the lyrics
This is from 1984 The Warning again this whole album is badass 👌 🔥 👏 Try also the Lady wore Black from there debut EP album masterpiece also!!!!! Your difnately learning about Queensryche......
Not trying to overkill Queensryche but can please a listen to Queen Of The Reich. The song came from their 1st EP, I still have this on cassette tape🤣 Lady Wore Black is killer song on this EP released in 1983. Cheers from Washington State.
Guys You Should React To: Lorna Shore Pain Remains 1
The Best Song Of The Year 🔥
I can't see the puppy. What breed? This is in my top five of all Queensryche songs.🤘🤘
Queen of the Reich live in Japan 1984 🤘🏼 have you seen? Sometimes live versions are better than studio
nice reaction! btw you gotta check out orbit culture!!!! cant say that enough times ! check out Flight of the fireflies, open eye, north star of nijah, Mast of the world. . this band is gonna become the giants of metal!
You two are great!
Cassandra, you are gorgeous!
Make more videos please!
Title goes well with the music. Vocals good. Overall I wouldn't play it as often as some others.
You should check out their first release, which was an EP and a song called "The Lady Wore Black".
Then fast forward and listen to their latest release "Behind the Walls"
This may be their best song ever. That's saying quite a bit. The lyrics are insane on this one.
I'm gonna have to listen to it again, since it's a bit longer it's hard to capture everything in one go!
🤘
I am sad to say that song deserved a better reaction video than what it got. Hopefully somebody else will do it justice
Exactly he sung his lungs out on this one . That range is incredible.
This might have been a good video except those two were distracted through half the song
I saw them performance this song when they were supporting this newly released album. They opened for KISS many years ago.
Saw them that tour as well, was ridiculous how good they were
