- In this video I make some progress with the goals of getting a good water/o2 supply, fuel, and general resources. I finally got a base attack near the end of the video and well, I think I screwed up. :( No real harm done. Just and slight set back. I wasn't ready for the attack when it happened and I did some stupid. lol

Don't forget to change the view on your ship by pressing left alt and then scrolling the mousewheel back so you can see around your ship better in 3rd person. Thanks for making content.

One of the things i ended up figururing out, is that early game, put a portable conctructor and a work light in side the hole for every resource i am using. Not only does it allow me to process ore as i mine, but it also helps you find the hole you dug into, especially at night.
When you hover over the item in the tech tree (F3), it will tell you what fuel or ammunition an item uses. I'm having to refer to this a lot with RE2 changing the ammo for everything. Loving the play through!
Try for head shots, they usually are 2x damage. Abandon POI’s is where you will find all the good loot and resources to salvage. In radiation areas you will find colbalt ore rocks.
if you get a mini turret on your HV you got some protection when mining,. great for killing predators and a good urly warning system.
@jrandall You want Cobalt, you need to find a Radiated Zone Biome, there are surface cobalt resources there, but also hazards of all types... good luck...
Don't forget to use your drone to mine if you don't want to waste oxygen bc you run instinctively! ;) EDIT: nvm you address this later in video. This one was also enjoyable, thanks. Looking forward to another.

Cool looking starter base. I just started. I am still in the HV I built. I forgot about drones doing base attacks. I started on the same start as you. I had to have wood to make biofuel. I think the Talon are upset with me for cutting a few trees down in their area. I use three constructors now two portable and one on the HV. I use three oxygen condensers now. I am looking for a better spot for the base. I think I want my base closer to a water source for a water generator. I finished the Talon stuff and they pointed me to a Polaris settlement several miles away. My character has 11 health left now. The fight at the monument included several Xerax, a Talon and two raptors that surprised me from behind while I was taking cover.
Jay glad your playing the game miss your dual plays with xcalibur but new chapter is welcomed and I’m excited to see where you go from here…. Good to play game and build at the same time .. also play your game how you need to, the comments people make are helpful for your gameplay but dont be a monkey jumping through there hoops so much… we are all here becuase we like just the way you are and play.

Also, you make a disposable bike when you get stranded far away.
Dig out your camp cave a little bit and place down a tent to respawn in. Also, it may be boring to you to skip the dialog concerning quests but it's not nearly as boring or frustrating to watch you "play through" quests while making mistakes that can be easily avoided by not skimming text or trying to speed read. To be fair, there really should be voice acting to allow the player to continue to play while information is being conveyed. Unfortunately, the devs don't realize they don't need professional readers to smooth out game play by simply reading for the player. Anyway, keep on playing. I'm still entertained!
p.s. the hunter for the quest is in the talon vilage nir one of the entrance
2 water extractors are usually more than sufficient.. Beware inventory/weight.. water is heavy, so a wifi equipped SV is usually required to collect.. and there is an oxygen version as well, which is a more efficient way of getting the large O2 bottles. Also turn the constructor off (and the food processor) when you're not using it to help conserve fuel. The chainsaw will give you more logs, but it does require biofuel to run.
Most people don't find themselves until they're stuck, alone in a hole.
Yeah, it's a completely different game in single player (not on a server where everything regenerates). It's a lot harder, you can't be as fast, and loose with resources. They don't come nearly as easily, especially late game ones.
Yeah the ending was a boat ton of bad luck... even more so because it looked like the second vessel was a troop transport.
If so, you will be in for a lovely surprise and you'd best gather some resources on the way home to make a new core
in SP you can sleep in a tetnt or bewd to ast 8h foward :) just make shure your food dont spoil
Typically I will hand mine deposits to max level. It's a really fast way to get your points for unlocks. Especially for higher tier ores loads of experience if you hand mine
the o2 didnot run out you took it with the o2 station .... sory i will keep my mouth shoot way to many coments xD p.s. reed the tool tips they explain many things :P
