Watching this series makes me miss the interactions between splitsie and w4sted in the wrong way event.

Love at the end when they are talking about what they are going to do next etc, Splitsie starts up the hill then gently hangs a gentle slow right turn to head back down the hill back towards the base lol
You would be far better off with an arrangement like:
Drill => container => item conveyor => crusher => container
than your current set up of
Drill => crusher => container
you can then pulse the conveyor and crusher periodically. A crusher will process all available rocks instantly so you are basically putting a massively higher load on the batteries than is necessary to process the ore.
This is like - watching splitsie and w4sted play space engineers durring the very start of early access. i SO hope this game pans out - i can't tell you the last time i was checking youtube to see when a video dropped. Here's to hoping this game keeps being exciting and fun! - cause it sure is pretty amazing to watch!
For Titanium, the fastest way to get some is to jetpack up the tallest mountain and build a temporary drilling rig with a grinder.

I love that Splitsie just made a large rightward turn and looped around on his own tracks loop at the end of stream.
I suppose you could also "hide" the wires by placing them on the bottom exterior of the rover. You wouldn't usually see them that way, and it might be easier to manipulate them later.

In North America, up is typically on, although we also commonly have multiple switches for some light sets like the kitchen and living room, so it's not a rule, more of a guideline.
Re: Light switches
It's _usually_ up for on, and such toggle switches tend to be labeled or embossed with ON/OFF to make it clear whether the switch is closed or open. But I've seen some places where the switch is installed upside down in a probable electrical code violation. More modern switches are toggled by pushing on them, making them easier for those with special needs.
North America up for on, down for off. Also the power converter could be a transformer for the technical term.
When you plugged in the data cables for the scanner, you accidently connected to 9 and 10 for pivot and scanner instead of 8 and 9 as it was originally configured.
I was watching the archean dev mess about with a 3 seat quadcopter, he mentioned that ground effect is a real thing in game, so building an ekranoplan could be possible too. So a submersible ekranoplan with a mining rig?
Just so you know Splitsie, "Batteries Not Included", is a family Sci/Fi Comedy from 1987. As a kid, I found it to be a laugh riot. As an adult, I found it to be deeper than expected.

make you a portable block drill setup then you can drop and anchor it whetever you want. have a separate 2nd battery for light/beacon that switches on when the battery for the drill runs out. theres simple logic for that. of course add solar/rtg.

You should put a solar panel canopy just in case you need to recharge in the field.

I can’t wait until the point in the video when splitse realizes that when he was reconnecting things to the minicomputer he forgot to connect the red power wire so currently the ore scanner is useless without the computer getting powered unless he did connect the power and I didn’t see
I definitely powered it up, but I messed something else up somewhere to not let the rotor spin 😕
@@Flipsie you also moved 8 and 9 down 1 to 9 and 10 also the panel i think is the one thats in your inventory wonder if its a optional thing you can connect to modify the scanner without editing code
I, too, prefer a sensitive mouse. They are twitchy for fine work (like Archean wiring), but give better control on the macro scale. Rats are also fine creatures, but they tend to eat insulation.
Can't wait for this to be playable with AMD graphics cards.

Kinda wierd that noone in chat saw it, or maybe they just wanted you and others to suffer, but still, nice stream, very fun to watch and be annoyed by this kind of erros, ...
It was really hard to see the attachment points the way it was set up, but I stupidly should have just pressed V on the screen to see if everything was connected properly or not since it shows it there
If you run the wire to the light within the pivot it should look OK and even make some sense.
You may have worked out by now that you waste cables if you don't manually pick them up before dismantling an item.
Yeah, I keep forgetting to pick them up though and each time I get a little angry at myself :P

Drill than cargo than rock crusher to storage so u can add stuff to get crushed
if you rebuild the rover. might I suggest putting the scanner where it can be seen from the driver seat in first person (even if it needs to be controlled via the passenger seat)

Do you get your power cable back if you disconnect it, because when you are picking up things that are wired up, it doesn't look like the cable in your inventory is changing.

Honestly though, it really isn't that way in Aus or the UK unless you've got lazy switches in which case it's completely random if you use more than the one switch

The scanner looks for a specific element, not the ore that contains it, so searching for aluminium makes the most sense
Maybe if you can get bigger wheels, how about build wheel configuration, like wasted old tank trend layout.

I'm not sure I can stand the tedium of wiring Every. Single. Thing. Mainly because that was a rather large part of my previous job. I could maybe live with something like Ethernet (PoE) cabling or conduit networks.
I'm hopeful I'll get better and better at working out how to do the cabling faster while still keeping it neat. I think one of the tricks I should start using is to wire in the open, then cover it with blocks AFTER it's all done. This should make it a lot faster, but also needs to have a design that is setup to be done this way from the beginning
@@Flipsie If the game allows for the player to lay down unconnected wires so you can place them in parallel, or if it has a way to combine a bunch of wires into bigger cables or harnesses, that's more in line with how it's done in the industry (some concept cars had... extremely sloppy spaghetti harnesses that we had to clean up to make sense of). We don't hook up lights or sensors one wire at a time because that can easily go south fast even if they're terminated with connectors and labels.

I'm going to guess that the British commonwealth countries mostly follow what the UK has, so Aus/UK/NZ plus maybe India, but not Canada since it keeps things like this aligned with the US.

Watching you struggle with placing the scanner made me laugh. You were tunneled vision bad. Just make it a left hand drive and you would have had it done easy. Does not matter what side you drive from other then your bias to right drive.
That wasn't tunnel vision at all, that was commitment to trying to make a small modification to an existing thing in the hopes that it would help me learn and also, commitment to the bit 😜
Lots of silence puts me to sleep. Then the next thing I know, my phone alarm goes off and it is time for work. The stream is more than half over. You need to work on your definition of interesting content.
You do realize this stream is essentially two guys trying to figure out the game, right? And your comment suggests you're the one trying to watch a stream 3 hours before they have to get up for work. Go to bed earlier and stop blaming the creators for your joke of a sleep schedule.
Sounds more like you need to know what _you_ find to be interesting content and let other people enjoy what _they_ find to be interesting content. It's good that not everyone are the same.
@@TNH91 Let me give some perspective, with an example. I actually don't mind too much when people unsubscribe from my channel, because a lot of times they just get bored, from not being entertained. The way I play is to explore and discover new things while I stream, to me and many that watch, that is a big part of the fun and why they subscribed in the first place.
