I would argue the top 2 worst levels in the game are actually 'sub-levels'. Specifically Sheila's mission in Spyro 3 where you have to escort two mole guys so they can drop off some bombs and release the eggs trapped behind them. You have to stomp on mushrooms or kick stuff out of the way to make it so they can pass through just fine but like Fracture Hills they constantly fake you out and if you don't have a far enough lead on them they'll run into a mushroom before you can knock it down and if you're TOO fast the mushrooms will pop back up. And the second one would be Agent 9 in Firework Factory in Spyro 3 again. You have to use his First Person perspective to travel through a somewhat linear path of ninja's that hide behind doors, walls, and on the ceiling. There's no health (from what I remember until the end) and if you die you have to do it all over again. Your only saving grace is that once you make it to the egg at the end you get a save spot, but I'd argue that it's a double edge sword. Once you rescue the egg you need to go back AGAIN in reverse and kill even MORE ninjas the second time around and since you grabbed the egg you're now softlocked in that spot until you beat the mission or force quit the level. If you force quit the level you have to go back and do it all over again both phase 1 and 2 to get the second egg. Just a nightmarish level IMO. It was easier to no-hit PS2 Spike then do that level in Fireworks Factory.
Those are not levels but part of a larger level. I agreed about the Sheila mission being annoying but the agent 9 mission in fireworks factory was fun in my opinion.
I would have probably all the top 5 best spots for spyro 1 levels. Maybe not really for the level design but rather the enviroment and music and the general feel of the level. Thats why Spyro 1 is my favorite game. The game is the most timeless and most rememberable out of all the trilogy, probably out of the whole spyro franchise, if only I wouldnt just play the spyro trilogy only.
I think for me the best level will remain Wizard Peak. Phenomenal level design and the very definition of what a Spyro level should be, really fun to explore all around. Your list is good too tho, I agree for most of the worst levels and your best levels are pretty solid too, really love Ice Cavern (and Tree Tops is one of my favorites casually, but not as much as someone who tries to speedrun).
I beat spyro one and 2, the rip fight I was bored in, I don't know if it is me, but I am starting year of the dragon, I did the first shield level, the first home world, and the first level on the path and after hearing the worst list, it looks like spyro 3 isn't gonna be as good but still fun, also I disagree with number 1 on best, I don't know what I would pick, but that level kind of made me bored, that's my opinion tho
Spyro 3 is probably my least favorite of the trilogy, but is still a great game and definitely worth playing if you enjoyed the first 2! Can totally see Mystic Marsh not being everyone's favorite too. I think one of the best things about the Spyro games is that there are so many great levels that everyone is probably gonna have a completely different top 5 list! Thanks for watching!
Finally! I finally found a video where someone else didn't like lost fleet. Out of all 3 games it was my least favorite level I found it incredibly boring. Hated swimming through the acid, hated shooting those dang vultures for the achievement and I especially hated that cursed skateboard level!
@@JawdyJordy I agree they could've made it wayyy cooler. I think having pirates as the enemies would've been cool. And seagulls instead of vultures. They could've had normal water instead of acid and put like sirens to fight in there. Like why have a pirate themed map with nothing else relating to pirates regarding enemies.
Mine would be something like: 5) Tree Tops - finally someone who isn't tasteless xD this is a level we love to hate but once you grow up you see it really had the right to be that challenging and fun at the same time, also they made it so pretty in Reignited! 4) Lofty Castle - always loved this one, everyting about it is just so lovely 3) Charmed Ridge - the forbidden romance subplot in this is what made me start writing fanfiction when I was a kid, that's how invested I was in it lmao 2) Mystic Marsh - I hear every point you made, it may be the most fun level in the whole trilogy for me! The exploration level is insane, recovering the Professor's pencil is the best orb challenge in the game, it's so full of interesting life, there's Basil, the thieves, the ducks...you just want to run around and spend time in it 1) Dark Passage - the absolute prettiest one of them ALL, I'm in love with the magical pink crystal hue, with the light/dark theme, with how much you explore both horizontally and vertically, I always play it slowly because I don't want to leave it! Rest of the top 10 could include: Enchanted Towers, Misty Bog, Zephyr&Breeze Harbor (always loved that we get to play on both sides of the war lol) and Dark Hollow which looks absolutely INCREDIBLE in Reignited, the library theme was a stroke of genius Best skybox goes to Doctor Shemp hands down, because that eclipse is drop-dead GORGEOUS Agree with Lost Fleet and Robotica Farms being some of my least favourite ones!
It's kinda crazy how Spyro 3 has so many bad levels, yet it's still a fantastic game by all metrics. Its not as consistent as the first two, but it offers more challenge and variety than either of them and it has more of everything we loved from those games

Copeland's soundtrack is so great! I love the original music. Really nice video! :)
The remastered soundtrack, much like N. Sane Trilogy has more to be desired

The boss fights let spyro 1 down. You can't even tell a couple of them are bosses
How are you gonna talk about Mystic Marsh and NOT mention the awesome professor scavenger hunt mission??? Seriously the best orb mission in the game
That mission was my favorite part of the entire game when I was 7 years old, so nostalgic
I personally was never a fan of that one because all the steps seemed unrelated and I ended up having to use a guide to figure it out

I will always defend fracture hills no matter what. In my opinion the alchemist wasn't hard or annoying at all even as a kid.
Fracture Hills is my favorite level in spyro
I love it for how cute the fauns and satyrs are, and the scary-looking trees are really funny
In my personal opinion I believe that Fireworks Factory from the original and reignited trilogy is the best. I love the design and the music.
Seeing Robotica farms near the beginning, I knew instantly that you started the video off with the 5 worst

It's disappointing too because the theme of haunted shipyard seems like it has a lot of potential for a really cool level!

@David Camero the level was just bland to me. I'm glad you enjoyed it though. I can't believe you actually enjoyed the skateboard level though??
Most of them are too short
Ohh I absolutely hated Mystic Marsh, Tree Tops and Lost Fleet- consdiering starting over again but not when I remember those exists
How do you make the head of spyro dansing ? 😂
More or less agreeable list. Except for Mystic Marsh. I'd never put any RR level in my top 5 best, except MAYBE Hurricos

How is mystic marsh better than tree tops..not even top 10 best level
Treetops is awesome
