Enchanted Towers has the most fun and exciting skateboard park in the entire game, and I never get tired of going to it! Spooky Swamp was an interesting level - not only in terms of the atmosphere (which I liked a lot), but because of how the characters spoke. This level introduced me to haiku, and I thank it for it that. Great list Rebel!
Icy Peak was possibly my favourite level in the original YOTD. I just loved the colours of the sky and the reflections in the ice. Reignited totally missed the mark in terms of capturing the aesthetic. It still looks nice but so grey compared to the original.
I know there is always one guy, unfortunately that is me today. Not a fan of Fireworks Factory at all. I find it boring, the side challenges ALL suck, the theme is decent. Bottom 5 for me! Desert Ruins and Crystal Islands are my top 2 :)
I absolutely adore Fireworks Factory it’s so pretty and the soundtrack is soooo good! Lost Fleet however I don’t really look forward to playing cause of the birds that you have to shoot and that skateboard section. Really good list looking forward to the next video!
Fireworks factory would have been one of my favorite levels too if I didn't suck at first person shooter (and only FIRST person shooters) and if the dragon mini-boss wasn't my least favorite section in the entire trilogy. Take out those dragons the ability to heal themselves, and they are infinitely better.
Fireworks factory is deffenetly up there for most people i belive! Btw i belive you are able to charge the beavers in a Crystal Island too, but they are hard to catch. This would be mine 16 Frozen Alters (Funny how we agree with this is the weakest, since this is a popular level!) 15 Molten Crater 14 Dino Mines 13 Sunny Villa 12 Bamboo Terrace 11 Crystal Island 10 Spooky Swamp 9 Cloud Spires 8 Lost Fleet 7 Enchanted Towers 6 Icy Peak 5 Haunted Tomb 4 Fireworks Factory 3 Seashell Shores 2 Desert Ruins 1 Charmed Ridge
Have you played The Jak & Daxter Trilogy I'd love to see you do a review or retrospective of them I think you'd like them if you haven't played them and they've been remade on the PS3 & PS4 Btw love your Spyro Video's
Interesting choices! I also love Fireworks Factory and Dino Mines, although Icy Peak might be my favorite level in the game. Bit surprising Seashell Shore was so low on the list, it was always one of my favorites - though maybe more for the atmosphere than the gameplay. I have a love/hate relationship with Enchanted Towers, I love the section where you can finally use Sgt. Byrd's flight to actually explore a wide open area with towers, really cool.
I have only played Years of the dragon one time. But I remember Firework Factory was one of the better levels. Loved the Ninjas animations. But is it the best im not sure perhaps I should reviset it again soon to find out
I managed to create a brand new challenge for Bamboo Terrace. A little something that spices up the level and gives a whole new twist to the gameplay. Which is: instead of killing the enemies normally, via Spyro's direct attacks, try to have at least 13 of those enemies killed by either friendly fire or the environment. The most optimal strategy is using those firework-launching enemies (at 4:08) as your personal sentry gun - making them launch rockets into other enemies. Other strategies include baiting buffalos to charge-kill other enemies, or baiting them down cliffs. It take a whole new mindset and skillset to play through the level this way. Lining up between enemies properly and making them accurately shoot towards the desired direction takes a bit of practice. It's really satisfying to pull off a kill like that though! Even the egg thief can be used as a target:) If you ever feel like re-playing this game, and you would like to move this particular level away from the laid-back spectrum, I recommend you to try it out. I've actually been successfully challenging hundreds of Spyro streamers through the years. Most of them completed it fairly quickly, and they throughly enjoyed it! =)
What? Dino Mines is trash. There were save points where a T-Rex would start shooting you the second you spawn. That FPS with the monkey was beyond infuriating
Most of these are on point. Fireworks factory is just amazing! Also love icy peak and desert ruins. Someone pointed out that my least favorite, Frozen Alters, is actually a popular level, and idk why I just don’t like that stage at all 😂 enchanted towers and molten crater do belong towards the bottom for sure! I still think they’re pretty good, but Spyro 3 does have what I’d consider the best levels overall. Dino mines makes sense at 7, but I think the challenging enemies make it better.
@@ScummyRebel For the longest time I hated Fireworks Factory but now that I’m grown up I like it better because of the music and I actually like the dragon boss fight. Agent 9’s minigame is ok but I’ve been a huge fan of it but the level makes up for it. Also took me ages to find that secret gun skill point as a kid.
Of course! I was pretty young so I didn’t own any of them for ps1, so I had to play them at friends houses that had older brothers that owned the game 😅 awesome games tho!
Every time I head to frozen altars I always get excited to play cat hockey.😺

love this list! personally i would just swap bamboo terrace and haunted tomb, move fireworks factory lower down and put desert ruins as my number 1 :)
