    GOOD MORNING, I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS: LIVEU SOLO 1) DOES IT TRANSMIT ONLY TO ONE SOCIAL NETWORK OR TWO SIMULTANEOUSLY? 2) DON'T TRANSMIT TO INSTAGRAM?? 3) EVERY TIME YOU GO DO LIVE DO YOU HAVE TO CONFIGURE URL CODES AND KEYS ON THE PC?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  Год назад

      The LiveU Solo by itself can only live stream to one platform at a time. It streams to multiple platforms you will need to use one of the LiveU Solo's integrated partners like Restream.io or Switchboard Live.
      At this time there is no information that says the LiveU Solo can live stream to Instagram. I will mostly not be able to.
      To go live you do a one-time setup when you first get the LiveU Solo. You create an account with them and that is where you connect all the platforms you want to live stream to. Check out this information page from LiveU Solo on how to get started with your first live stream: bhpho.to/43nDA09

      You can use just the wifi. The bonding service is for using all point of internet at the same time, so if one fails there's a back up so your livestream won't dropout.

    Thank you for this video! This is probably a silly question but lets say I get the Live U Solo and two modems, do I need to purchase two seperate Data plans from for example T mobile or Verizon? If I use the sim card that is in my phone, would that mean I need to purchase another data plan in order to use my phone for the browser set up?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  Год назад +1

      yes, you will need two separate data plans for each modems. That way if one of the two becomes unstable you have the second data plan as a back up so your stream doesn't fail.

    • @BandH
      @BandH  Год назад +1

      The modems are required if you want to connect the LiveU Solo using cellular data. If you are planning to use this outside the US, all you need are sim cards that are used in the country you are trying to stream from. Just put the sim card in each modem and you'll be able to connect it with cellular data.

    Is there anything out there that just does the network bonding? (exactly like the LiveU)
    I'm planning on using the built-in encoder of my Atem mini to stream, all I need is a reliable connection that can bond multiple connections (ideally something cheaper than the LiveU as I don't require the encoding feature).

    • @garyhawkins7773
      @garyhawkins7773 2 года назад

      There's not really any cheap internet bonding hardware solutions that can give you a normal internet connection out there from my knowledge, I have the Teradek link pro, but that costs quite a bit. The atem's can switch between networks in a drop out, so if you have your mobile connected via usb-c it can use your phones net just incase your LAN drops out. So that's one solution as a back up
      There is a software bonding solution called Speedify, but I'm not sure if it would work if you're trying to stream directly from the atem. You'd have to do some research or test it out. But if it works, that would be the best solution

      Set up a custom RTMP ingest server then use OBS on a computer to grab the RTMP do the overlays then send it out from the computer. So you're doing 2 streams effectively. 1 raw stream from the liveu with whatever camera input it has. Your computer with OBS grabs that as a media input then you can add any overlays or whatever you want in there before hitting stream in OBS and sending out your final broadcast package.

    y not just use a laptop?

    • @BandH
      @BandH  3 года назад +1

      When your live stream requires a robust, bonded connection that must not fail you want something better than just a laptop WBF.
      The plug-and-play functionality, combined with the power of LiveU's Reliable Transport protocol (LRT), enables a simple setup for high-quality streaming video with versatile distribution options as well as stable transmission, even when operating in remote locations. If operating remotely, use the internal battery to power the Solo for approximately three hours. Plus, the compact form factor won't bog down your production by weighing down your camera. >Mark
