    Looks good, but will it really swim usd????

    • @Coastfly
      @Coastfly  5 лет назад +1

      Marios Fliegendose if you place the weight there it Will.. also if you noticed i made shure to tie in the stem of the mallard feather on top as Well.. it holds some air and Will help the fly turn the right Way.. 😊

    • @mariosfliegendose1334
      @mariosfliegendose1334 5 лет назад +2

      Fast answer, great!
      Yes, you tie in some weight, but with the shield on the top and the heavy hook it maybe is not enough weight. i tried this type of fly very often and fished them often, and with a shield on the back i needed much more weight to turn the fly.

    • @Coastfly
      @Coastfly  5 лет назад +1

      Marios Fliegendose it really Depends on where you Tie in the weight.. it needs to be almost in the bend as shown.. otherwise it Will most likely not turn or flip over on the side.. you need to move the center of gravity so to speak.. ive read a great article i found by googling it.. cant remember the site though., 🤔 another trick you Can do is tie in some foam under the Shellback or use bucktail wich also holds a lot of air.. 💯

      @@mariosfliegendose1334 Agree to you both! For me this is a very nice fly, but a "problemchild" realy never shure how it will swim. I have noticed the air lift, and the fly is go the right way, but after some cast it lay to the side, when the air is gone. Very nice work Morten by the way! Mouthparts?😂😂 Agree to that to, probably some relic thing!😂

    Prøvde å binde denne idag, men reka snur seg litt til siden i vannet, tips til hvordan man får den til å gå oppned med kroken?
    Mer bly?

    • @Coastfly
      @Coastfly  5 лет назад

      Et Par ting faktist.. Evt en krog med tyndere wire, eller placeringen af dit bly.. Mere bly kan også hjælpe men gør også fluen ret tung. Du kan også placere et tyndt stykke skum under rejeskjoldet som vil hjælpe med at dreje den.. håber mit svar hjælper! 😊

      @Maxtdinh 5 лет назад +1

      @@Coastfly takk! jeg vet ikke om du har testet på plasseringen av bly? men er det viktig at plassere bly mellom krokspiss og mothaka? slik du viser?
      Jeg brukte også UV lim som ryggskjold, det passer kanskje litt dårlig med balanse.
      Bra SBS video, nice edit and filming.

      Max T Dinh placeringen er ret vigtig ja.. du kan evt google placering af vægt på upside down shrimps.. der er mange fine artikler hvor de viser at vægten skal sidde over spids og mothaker for at vende tyngdepunktet på fluen.. uv limen har nok give lidt uballance der får den til at dreje om på siden.. 😅

    Sorry buddy, that's not super cool... it's MEGA super cool!!! ;o) I like these shrimp patterns, especially the upside down versions. They're inspiration for crayfish patterns. Thanks for the tutorial - your pattern must look awesome wet. Yes, please do one with craft fur.
