Jeep Grand Cherokee key fob programming Dorman

To Purchase Google "Key Fob Dorman 13778" there are various sellers online

Note: I was able to program the second remote by doing the process over.

You don't hold it in for all the doors. The first press of unlock unlocks just the driver door (by default) then the second press unlocks the rest of the doors. Also, if you want to program more than just one fob, you have to do them quickly. You waited too long to try the second fob.

@3:27 if you want all of the doors to unlock, you can program that using your overhead console. You press MENU, and then look for the option that says UNLOCK DRIVERS DOOR 1ST? on the screen. Press STEP so N (NO) is selected, and that will then unlock all the doors when the unlock button is pressed once on the keyfob. The process is described in the owners' manual, but not everyone has access to it, and it's not available online.

Mine wouldn't work either put my husband's key in an did it now both fobs work you have to have the main key with chip

I just bought this same product for a new 2003 Jeep I just bought. This product doesn’t work funny thing though I have another Jeep same year and model and it works just fine? I’m lost

Tommy Talbot someone else contacted and said they were having problems as well. The only thing I could come up with is there is a problem with the key fob, as if the jeep wasn't excepting that particular one. When I first did the programming I got the factory key fob (bought from ebay) to work before the one that was provided. Only other thing I can think of is disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes, reconnect and try it again. No clue if that will work but it's probably something I might try in the same situation. Hope you get it to work.

sn0m0ns I actually figured out the problem today the previous owner changed out the passenger door panel from a earlier year the receiver for the remote is inside the passenger side window and lock switch. The switch that was in the replaced door panel was a different part number than what a 2003 GC actually calls for I took the correct switch out my other 2003 GC that the remote works on put it in the Jeep that never worked and the remotes worked like a charm hope this helps anyone that is having a problem with this product

You can just Google Key Fob Dorman 13778 for this particular model if you want to try and find a better price ;)
