Here is a quick and easy tutorial video on how to swap out your dead battery in your Jeep Cherokee. You will need a small flat tip screwdriver and two of your new 2016 batteries. Pry the two halves apart as I've shown and remove the two batteries. Place the new coin cell 2016 batteries in + side facing upward and snap the two halves together. No need to reprogram the fob. Look I got a new skim and ignition switch so my question is and I believe this is why the jeep isn’t running as it’s not detecting the key and I have the original and a new one but if I get a new fob will I need to program the old key I mean it won’t work on the ignition switch the old key is just to unlock the door please help
I knew it was 2016 battery. I have 2032 and they look thicker and I don't think they'll fit. Now I got to find someone to pawn off a 2032 batteries.
