Maybe you lost a key or it took a dip in the water and isn't working and are down to one key. If you have one working key left you can get a simple key from a number of retailer and online retailers. This allows you to use your one key to program another key and if you buy replacements you can do a few more. Your car only stores a certain amount of keys, but it's nice to have an extra spare. This also works on a variety of dodge vehicles including the Challenger, Charger, Durango, Journey, and Magnum

2012 jeep Grand Cherokee loredo, the dial for mine does not go on exact numbers so I had to put mine between "1" and "8" then followed the instructions and it worked. Took trial and error but it definitely worked.

I only have one key. Just like in the video, it will start my Jeep and lock it but not unlock it. So am I to assume that this system will not work for me to program a new key?
