hey had no idea about the storage compartment ! Keep these VIDS coming !!!
Sitting in my JGC 2018 enjoying your vid. Thanks for posting
2011-2022 WK2 are some of the best SUVs out there; smooth and capable. I had a 2014 Limited with 20" wheels with that confusing & scary shifter and now I drive a 2016 Limited 75th anniversary with 96K miles. The 20" wheels and HID headlights make the GC to really stand out! I like the size, the feel, and its smooth & quiet drive on highway. it has an excellent left leg room for long drives. The seats are supportive. Fit & finish AND material are very good. WK2 platform was based on Mercedes ML platform.
I have a '14 EcoDiesel Limited. 160k mi and zero major issues. In fact, I'm on original brakes and rotors (I bought it new in '14). Used to get 42mpg before a d%#&%# ecm update chopped 18mpg off of that :( still get 28-30 highway, 21-24 city).
Its amazing how little the WK2 has changed from 2011-2021. Not a huge fan of the new body style. I've got 132,000 on my 2013 and love the hell out of it. I've owned nothing but grand cherokees in the last 20 years
I hear ya., I am not a fan of the newer bodies either. However, my 2001 at 168,000 finally bit the dust in 2020. Bought a new 2020 JGC and I have to say, I miss my old Jeep. I don't like all the bells and whistles (even though I bought the one with the least). I like simple. The only real difference that I like over my old Jeep is the fact that there is climate control in the back seat. When daughter is riding in the back she is always too hot or too cold. Now she can control it herself. I also didn't realize how much bigger this one was from my 2001 (we also had a 2002 which recently died too at almost 175,000). I literally fell out of it the first time I got out. I also have to really lift my leg up higher to get in. I am not short and I do have long legs so I was surprised at the difference. Plus it seems much heavier than the old one. When I open the door in the driveway, the door snaps back at me as I can't seem to open it all the way from my seat and the driveway is on an incline. Never had that problem before. I also noticed that when you put it in park & take my foot off the brake, the entire Jeep lurches back a bit. These are not deal breakers and it's only my personal observations and little annoyances for me. I would still continue buying Jeeps as I love the ride. It's easy handling. I had a Chevy Blazer in 1992 and hated it. It was very truck like. These Jeeps handle like a car. Easy to drive & smooth, not bouncy. BTW we've had Jeep GC's since we got rid of that Blazer in 1996.. Now my older sister is hooked. She has been leasing hers and is on the third one. She is short so she loves the Renegade.
I've got a 2013 Laredo with 197,000 miles. Lucky for me I bought the MOPAR Lifetime Warranty (Bumper to Bumper) for about $3,000 back in the day. I've probably saved at least $5,000 in repair costs so far.
I don't mind the new 2023 M.Y body style, but I prefer the WK2 body style. Though the 2023 Grand Cherokee X trim is basically the new Grand Cherokee, but with the WK2 body style. Like what Ram did with the 1500 Classic.
I have a 2014 Limited, and it's the best upgrade I could have made. I love my Jeep to pieces. Got about 149-ish thousand kilometers on it, and I bought it used with a little 121,00kms.
Same here, I have 3, ZJ, WK and WK2
1- lock button in rear hatch handle
2- compartment underneath drivers seat accessed through rear
3- proximity sensor in key fob used to turn on car
4- oem funnel for use with jerry cans and the capless fuel system
5- dealer mode.
The compartment is one thing but dealer mode (which is cool to toggle but will never use) and everything else isn’t something only “hardcore” owners find. The point of the funnel is explained in the owners manual and its also shown on the inside of the fuel door.
Thanks
Realizes the 5th hidden feature doesn't exist .. proceeds to naming this video "TOP 5 HIDDEN FEATURES..."😎👍
It does work, he just just didn’t press the permafrost button.
The 5th feature works on my 2015 overland
Top 4 sounds dumb🤣
Hidden? And let me know what dealership you bought from so I never go. 60-70k you got hosed.
Great vid as usual! Perfect interview style vid . Do you have the dual exhaust! Doing the cold air intake? Great choice of suv ! The JGC is awesome 😎! Keep up the great work!
Thanks!! No dual exhaust or anything... all stock
My first time to own a jeep. This video was excellent. I knew of none of these features.
I looked for the compartment. Was afraid to pull hard enough to get it to release. Felt like something was going to break. The reason why the nozzle is there is because regular jerry can nozzles simply miss the hole by design and will dump gas all down the wheel well onto the ground. Capless fuel tanks are built to be almost impossible to siphon from.
Haha same
I always put my weed in the compartment under the seat and the police never find it the few times I’ve been searched. 2012 just hit 200,000 miles, runs great
I just purchased a 2021 grand cherokee laredo e. thanks, these were cool features. I just went out to my vehicle and checked all these features out. Love the push button lock on the lift gate. that is too cool!
you can also hit the power lock button on the driver's door before closing the door as the liftgate will lock automatically if its the only door open. Or you can just hit the little button on the driver or passenger door handle to easily lock all doors...can be done with your elbow. this is a triple redundancy.
Cannot hit door exterior button with elbow to lock unless it's direct skin to button contact.
3:47 A credit card or valet parking ticket holder in that flush black clip on sun visor just above his head. Very, very handy as your going through the Drive-thru, etc.
Thank you sir!!
Nice video. I'd love to know if the rear cargo glass opens. I have a 2020 Grand Cherokee and I've not been able to open the flipper glass. If it does open, please give instructions.
It does not open on any models!
Cars looking good! Have you put any mods on your Volkswagen yet?
Just a tune & exhaust
Hold the up and down on the left plus rear heated button
But why would I want to get into "dealer mode"? What would I find there? Dunno....
I have a couch to move but the couch sticks out past the trunk It will not close by about 12 inches. Is there any way to disable the trunk from automatically got not going down? I don't want to mess with the hydraulic system.
does any of these work with 2014 LAREDO?
What about the gas tank door default in the trunk
mine can access dealer mode by holding drvr temp up + dn + front defrost
keyfob feature is industry standard, and gas funnel is needed due to capless design...
I have the secret compartment under the seat. I have the key fob situation so far I got everything in my 2014.
My wife thought that the nozzle @3:31 was a device for women to be able to pee standing.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂
i have a 2014 summit with the 5.7 hemi... all the tricks worked on mine except for touching the key fob to the start button
I think the battery has to be low to do that.
Hi .
I have grand cherokee 2020 and I can't change the temp from F to C° . I can't found the "Unit" icon in the display.
From the screen on your center console, press the picture of the vehicle. On the left side of the menu, press Display, scroll down using the down arrow on the right side of the display until you see Units, once there you can choose between F or C, MPH or km, etc. 😊
i have a 2014 and most of them 5 hidden things work also i can go into the dealer mode i beleve u hold three bottons down at once i dont remember tho but it worked on a 2014
My 2013 trailhawk has a built in flashlight in the back . Thought that was pretty cool.
My old 2012 town and country had one too. Same exact fitment as my 2017 gc.
Ya So does mine and it's the 2014 overland 5.7 V8 version
if every time you said "Jeep grand Cherokee" were a drinking game, the entire cyber world would have to check into an intense supervised institution for alcoholics . but over all though it was. good video and thank you for the lesson
Key fob tip: if the battery dies or you get that 'key fob battery low' on your display, don't spend pots of money at the dealer to have it replaced. #2032 battery, as cheap as 3/$ 1.50 at Dollarama. Remove the actual key from the fob, insert in the middle slot and wiggle the two halves of the fob apart to replace. Make sure you put the new battery in the right way, numbers down.
I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee I just bought it when ever I start it up the heated seats automatically come on I have to manually turn it off not sure if it’s from the previous owners is there a way to have them stay off until I turn them on?
the heated seats will automatically start if the outside temp is below 4 degrees C.
you can turn the feature off ,its in main settings menu .read the manual to get step by step
Dealer mode does work. I have a 2021 jgc limited
Do your mirrors fold in automatically?
I have the 2013 jeep grand Cherokee overland it comes with a flashlight in the back
Here in America - we call it a funnel.
Don’t hide illegal items, translates to, look, you can totally hide illegal stuff here!!!
your second feature of this video isnt just for jeep. i own a 2008 land rover freelander2 that has a fob you plug into the console (just beside the steering wheel). now here is the neat thing about the land rover key fobs, they dont need a battery to start the car. you simply plug the fob into its slot, put your foot on the clutch and it starts first time, no battery! it has to do with the chip in the fob, just like the chip in your key (if you have one).
#3 That's a feature in most cars with push button start....just not well known. My 2015 Escape could do that. Also....it may not work if there's a dead battery in it....or if the battery is installed the wrong way. If the battery is dead, take it out and just hold the shell up to thw sensor.
How do i stop my seat from automatically backing up when i turn my car off. 2017 cherokee by the way
On the servings screen it has the option to turn off.
We love our jgc. But they do have to be kept cool. The 5.7 is very hard to keep it at 170 even with a big radiator. If I did it again I'd get the 3.6 I'm confident I can keep it cool.
Get a 180 thermostat. Runs great
I tried a 180 on a previous Durango we had. I like the 160 better. Runs stronger and the oil stays cleaner longer with the 160. No cels with tuner.
@@j.d.mcginn6946 what year? I have a 2018. Haven't got it tuned yet due to having to get an unlock pcm
Yes indeed ours is a 2015 we had to buy an unlocked computer. But it was worth it to me turns on the stock fan at 160 F just as I wanted. My 0-60 went from 6.5 stock to 6.1. Extrapolated to hp means it went from 360 stock to 400hp. This was done in the winter engine temp was 160 tranny temp 160.
@@j.d.mcginn6946 nice. Yeah that's definitely worth the money and time. Being able to adjust the cooling fans is worth it alone. Thank you
cool video
The key fob "feature" only works if your battery in your fob is DEAD. It does not work the same if your battery is operable. The under seat "compartments" are for the BATTERY (Passenger side) and the COMPUTER (Drivers side) DEALER MODE: Hold the bottom left and bottom right corners of your system touch-screen at the same time (all the way at the edges avoiding pressing any actual buttons) for about 10 seconds. The 'Dealer Mode' screen should appear.
This is a heavy vehicle and it is the best...
This is the second video on not so hidden features i have watched.
the last one you have to click the defrost button with it
These are not "hidden features" they're all in owners manual.
how can i update the system?
"Nothing illegal" ahhahaha true
Where did you get the rubber mat for the trunk?
Mine comes out of the dealer with the rubber mat, but you can get it on Amazon
Or, WeatherTech directly
The 5th feature works on my 2015 overland
Does it work by how he instructed right then?
My 2014 the key fob trick doesn’t work
My 2015 has a flashlight in the back
All push button start vehicle have that just different spots
Thanks for showing me at 2:48 how I can hide my bricks Homie! ✊️💪🙌
As if the people don’t know about that one?? You aren’t the only one watching
heat up down + defrost
No you got to hold them all i did it on mine
Hidden, if you don't read the manual.
Bruh what forearm gains
ur key fob was not dead lol how would we know it actually works withoutu pulling the key fob battery out
4 features that are highlighted in the manual lol 😂
u really should unwrap that nozzle before using it
I guess you could call these "hidden features" if you have never looked in the owners manual.
So I've seen this comment in here about 10 times now some of us bought our Jeeps used and came with no paperwork and no manual.
@@BuddyRHS1965 Do a online search and download a manual.
The key fob feature to start the engine do not work on the 2018 model
My 2018 GC Altitude let me do that...in fact one day after gassing up, it wouldn't start and the instrument cluster actually told me to "push start button with key fob" and it started right up.
Seems like one of those kids who’s daddy owns a car dealership or something…
Handsome
60k on a mid suv is not bang for your buck, its highway robbery.
You're over selling it... All of these features are in older models and really not work $60k. I have a 2020 HA and my biggest issue is the damn buttons... Is it off or on...?? Like eco mode... It's not making any difference in gas mileage and the button notifications is confusing
Right.. my 2017 has all these features.. and it comes with an hidden flashlight in the truck
so wait, FOUR hidden features then? and that funnel you are holding is for women to pee standing up, not to fill your tank
Repeated content in your channel😏
you dont need to use the fob to turn the car on…. you can just press it with your fingers!!! cause i do loo
You do it that way if your battery happens to go dead. So you can still start it.
If you read your manual and spend time with your vehicle you would know all of these. These are not hidden features my guy.
I'll point out a "hidden" feature to you that is also in the manual, but not many know about this one. If your fuel door is not opening with the button, you go to the trunk and to the left you have that little triangle storage thing. You can see it in this video around 3:26 mark. Remove that and if you dig your hand in there there's an emergency release that you pull and it'll open your fuel door.
(I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited)
Read your manual before trying to learn things from a video. Cool video though!
Hilarious video. Wasting your time guy
70k lmao
Sun lights and shaking camera makes it very bad video
It's not worth the money at all...hahahah rip for ur buck .....but the gc is the best vehicle #JEEPLIFE
Damn, you must really like hearing yourself talk.
Haven't seen you in a while , hello old friend. Do you have a grand Cherokee too ??? I have always had jeeps . I had the Wrangler X ,but the warranty ran out so I moved up in style , and got the grand . She is so much nicer . Rides like a dream. Peace.
@@thebigfellar7178 ... Yeah, but did you find all the Easter Eggs in it?
@@cletusspucklerstablejeaniu1059 I doubt it , I couldn't find my ass with both hands and a flashlight, lol. I can camp in mine though . The front passenger seat folds flat , and I'm 6'5 to 6'3 depending on the nurse's height. After a couple run ins with ole Bigfoot. I'm never tent camping again , ever. At least in the jeep I'll have time to grab a hogleg . Great to see you again. I hope you are well. Peace.
Compartment for drug smuggling
Don't have to use your hands that much to make a video!
Wow this was bullshit 😂
Stop fxcking saying keep grand Cherokee
Kid non of these are secrets.
Top 5 hidden features of this car:
#1 this is a door handle. When you pull it, the door opens. 🧙♂️🪄
