Worked on my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Same part number he shows in description. Dorman 13778-Key Fob and Programmer. Went to Autozone and picked it up for 87$ worked in seconds after install.

The Dorman package with key fob and programmer works 100%. I’m about to replace a key fob which I replaced 2 key fobs like 8 years ago and now one of them will lock, but not open, but being smart🤣I had purchased a third one a long time ago and I saved the programmer and the new key fob and now 8 years later wham, I’ll program my third one and key one of the old fob in the drawer just in case? Just for any reason! 👏👏👏👏

The doorman programmer on works with a Doorman remote it’s basically slides the remote access in through a backdoor , you generally have to have a true programmer to hook up and set the keyfob up the doorman programmer basically does a lot of it for you but only with the doorman remote because they are designed that way, on a side note it only costed like $45 to get a aftermarket remote and have it programmed at my local locksmith plus because we have automatic seats he was able to set it up in position 2 so the seat moves to position 1 if I unlock but if the wife unlocks it moves to position 2 automatically
The position 1 and 2 is only on certain models of this jeep. Not everyone will have this feature. Just a friendly FYI. 😋

I wonder if after you program that remote you can reprogram a second one that’s not dorman. I tried programming a remote for my WJ that didn’t have one; but only found “find do it yourself” directions to program one if you already had one programmed.
FYI. I have a JDM RHD 04 WJ Limited and it seems this product does not work.
Probably different frequencies. I would only buy this if you have a vehicle from the North American market.

I can almost garentee The remote from Amazon did not work because the FCC is different. If you go back to your order history it should tell you FCC info for the remote. See if it matches your doorman remote.
This was also a year ago so I'm sure this info is of no use but maybe If someone else runs into this problem it could help. 😅

Need some help here. Just checked the remotes. Both original, they work but car doesn't respond. Where do I check.
The guy from the key shop says need to check the car. Remote are ok emitting signal.
I bought a Dorman key fob, and it just didn't work. I called Dorman. They said bad Fob. I ordered a 2nd. Same thing. Would lock, but only within 2 ft of the car, and wouldn't unlock, even sitting inside. The dealer will charge more, but I bet they work.
So the programmer from Amazon but the fob from doorman? Or just the whole thing from Amazon? 13778 using the link you posted says it does not work for my Jeep it’s 99

Hey is your Dorman remote still working? I got one for mom's WJ like a year ago and it was all funky. The button felt cheap, the signal was weak, and then it quit working.
I work at an auto parts store. I can just exchange it. I was just wondering if yours is still working well.
@@AlecDaStar with my 2001 jeep you have to unlock the door with key more than once or it sets the alarm off after using lock button on he door. And I have the flashing red light on the dash also has keyless entry options in the digital screen on the roof by the map lights
