Thank you so much!!! I just ordered and received my order but took a risk not having an original fob anymore. Comments said I didn't but I wasn't sure. Much appreciated!
Great video but the title might be misleading. Everything I look up even on the back of the package says 2001-2004 Grand cherokee. I have a 99. Gonna try it anyway. Mine quit working. If I this will work AND reprogram my original I'll be thrilled.
Question: my key fob went missing - assuming I dropped it and someone picked it up. Once I use this kit to reprpgram the new fob will the old fob still work? I dont want someone else having access to my truck.
@@DaddyJeepGarage okay. I lost my fob, do you know of any way to unpair it? What if I paired 4 new fobs to take up the 4 slots? Idk I have to remove my battery cable every night so whoever has it can't unlock my truck bc I have lots of work tools in it.
@@bryanr1159I think you have to use a higher end scan tool and use the lost all keys function. But you’ll have to reprogram all your skim keys and remotes. Also have to have a PIN number to access those functions.
Awesome thanks so much 👍🏼👍🏼

You bet. Glad it helped
Hi what’s the lift set up you have on the Jeep? It looks great!
@@armandjeangeorges6206 thanks. It's a 4" lift with 33's on 17" JK wheels
Do this programming will work on my jeep grand cherokee 4.0 1999 ???
Hola 👋 desde colombia 🇨🇴 ! Tengo perdido el control de mi xj 97. ! Este programador Dorman 13778 le sirve a mi Jeep xj 97. ?
@@javierlalinde7019 I'm not so good with Spanish, but if I'm understanding what you are asking....no. I don't think it will work with your 97 xj

Interesting.... Maybe it is not correct. I'll have to look into it and update my title if necessary. Thanks for the heads up
@DaddyJeepGarage I reached out to Doorman and they said the 99 has different software which is not compatible. That's a Bummer!
I've got a '99 JGC and despite the description on Amazon it worked for me.
@3865ron Good to know. Heck I'll just get one and if it don't work I'll return it. Thanks for the info.
@johngaston308 Once you program it it might take a couple of minutes for it to respond. Give it at least 2 minutes.

Yes. This doesn't change the programming in the Jeep. It programs the fob to match the Jeep.

Just received mine (Dorman off Amazon) and it won't work. Tried programming it several times now and it does nothing.
@@pwigzell it could be a failed computer inside the driver's door I suppose
@@DaddyJeepGarage The old factory fob works but when I attempt to reprogram that nothing happens.
Do this programming sistem will work on my Jeep grand cherokee 4.0 1999???
@@oscaragredano I have heard that it is not supposed to work for a 99, but someone else commented that it worked fine. I'm not positive
@DaddyJeepGarage thanks so much I will try
