These guys hadn't worked as a team before but you wouldn't know it. They handled it like a SWAT team, systematically clearing rooms one by one and going in without hesitation.
Give some qualified teachers guns in every school! These teachers would give up their lives for their students at least give them a fighting chance. At the very least there must be an armed guard always on stand by whenever there are students at the school.

No parent should ever have to wish that their kid comes back from school safely, or kids hoping that they will not be the next victim of a school shooting. So sad that these monsters choose to target vulnerable kids.

As a parent I’m thankful for how fast they worked , they didn’t think about themselves nor did the hesitated to go in . Thank you and the the fact the teacher did a good job not having children in classrooms so fast was incredible. My condolences to the families that lost their child 💔

I completely see why they chose this officer’s body cam to release. He showed no hesitation and continually pressed the more hesitant officers forward. Very heroic.
props to the teachers who got these kids to a place that the officers weren't treading through hundreds of kids to find the shooter. unfortunately all of them couldnt be saved but the teachers had a big role in reducing this body count. everyone involved here are heroes
If they shut the doors everyone would have been saved... Then as a layer of redundancy we can lock the classrooms!
Why is it we lock our house at night, have massive vaults that lock to protect money, and we lock the doors to as vehicle we aren't even in on a daily basis
BUT cram 1000 kids into small boxes with one exit and the concept of a lock becomes instantly foreign? You can't even get into the VA without seeing cops and every patient in that building was trained to defend themselves. Stop giving us the "it's the gun" garbage. If you wanted to stop this you'd use the tools ALREADY IN HAND rather than a dramatic news article about throwing books as self defense... Try a chain and dead bolt first. I'll gladly pony up the $100 it would cost(before city workers padded it) to put locks on doors. I'll even teach the staff how to use the locks they seem to not understand

2nd time watching noticed cop not only put his hand on the guys shoulder telling him keep pushing but he actually pushed him out of his way and PASSED him!!! hats off to you sir!!!
it's a communication tactic. the hand goes on the shoulder pushed forward to let the officer in front know he is going to pass him. they leap frog through doorways and around corners this way. It tells the one in front to be ready to move in behind. And yes once there are no doors or corners the one in the lead stays in the lead

Interesting tactics. My observation is in the country I know the men are very silent and hand signal one another. Americans believe in very loud vocal communication. Even on the American TV shows. Not that's wrong, just different. With the silent method the shooter does not know anyone is approaching until the first bullet is fired from someone other than the transgressor.

They’re not even wearing full body armour, it’s clear they rushed in as fast as possible.
This is so terrifying and disheartening...my heart goes out to the victims and parents in the community. No child should have to go through this, truly breaks my heart seeing this type of stuff. I was watching the news during the recent Uvalde shooting and my siblings looked at me and said " what if we go to school and this happens?" And I just wanted to tear up and cry my eyes out after hearing them say that, school should be a safe space not a threat or danger to children.
Keep allowing the left to push dangerous and mind altering chemicals, hormone therapy and depression on kids.. We will see even more of this happen.

No and they shouldn't.. Red flag laws are used as political hit measures against gun owners. I live in MD and we have them here, and the 2 or 3 we've had have all resulted in the deaths of gun owners who didn't commit any violent crimes.
RFL wouldn't have done anything to prevent this occurrence, this person had no history of mental illness or violence and so far, no friends or family have said they thought she would be violent. So all arguments for or against RFL aside, they wouldn't have done anything here.

I remember when we had the drills, they were so scary. Just thinking about that gives me chills I can’t imagine what the kids in that school felt

You saw the sheer fear, desperation and panic as they loaded them on buses and had them running across the roads to safety. Thankfully the community helped with the kids along with the teachers when they had to run across a busy road. To think all our kids are growing up where they have to train for this is God awful and if we wanted to stop it we could, but we don’t… because 💰

As a private Christian school student 20 minutes from Calvary, this freaked us out. I mourn for the babies that Audrey killed. My sister is the age of those kids that were killed. I will never understand why or how a person can be that evil. I’m tearing up typing this.
As a former christian (greek orthodox) who's currently atheist (maybe thinking of eastern beliefs like Budhhism or Taoism).

Imagine being this terrified as a student when the alarm goes off, and your teachers are racing you out of the building , trying to get you to safety
Unfortunately some of the kids didn't make it out, along with two of the staff.
Speaking as a retired security officer/supervisor, my hat definitely goes off to the response team that handled this situation, decisive, professional, not so concerned about their own safety that they're not doing the job, checking the building and running toward the gunfire.

I think it was 3 of the staff- the brave headteacher ran towards the active shooter to try and protect the children, one of the children who was killed just after she pulled the fire alarm to distract the shooter and protect her classmates. Such a despicable excuse for a human to take their lives
