Exactly. I would of ran my butt in there and saved those children. At least tried too. Probably would of died. But TRIED. Not stand at the door at let children get shot down
@Stacey Love Beauty 💖 you have no clue what you would do in that situation the cops were cowards that day and that cost many lives. They should be charged but you literally have no idea what you would do fear takes over in that type of situation so stop saying "I would've went in there" you probably wouldn't like any human that's not trained law enforcement enforcement
I’m astonished that the officers didn’t know each other. They worked so seamlessly that I thought they all trained together. These guys have set the bar.
@@RSProduxx in my other life I'm in this line of work (corp. security for me) and what really stuck out to me was the need for basic, standardized terminology: where to go, when, and in what order.
The fact that they didnt know each other and were able to pull off such a smooth operation shows how well trained this dept is. Kind of like playing a live show with 3 band members you have never met.
Almost the most impressive part was his ability to vocalize what he needed before entering the school. Calling personnel to his side, reiterating urgency, you could tell he was a leader the second he hit the scene. The dude with the shotgun is a badass too. No hesitation. Well oiled machine right there.
@@KMT15 well it's not like they got to pick their ideal loadout like you do in cod. Time was of the essence and they acted fast. And people underestimate the effectiveness of a shotgun. You could easily put a lethal spread on someone at the end of that hallway with a shot gun. Again, this ain't cod, shotguns are effective past 10 ft in real life...
I am so very proud of those men. THOSE are the men that kids look at and say "I want to be a cop when I grow up." What a fine example these men set. Hopefully they have put everyone on notice.... NO MORE UVALDE. It truly is astonishing that these men presented as such an amazing team when they didn't normally work together. WOW.
lol u act like not a single person was killed... 6 people died... 3 children ... this is not a victory... stop pretending like the police did their job when 6 people died ... thx sped
These men are incredibly humble for what they did. They're heroes. But please keep them in your thoughts, because having to take someone's life is not an easy thing to do. I'm sure they both have PTSD from the event. May they find the peace they need in the aftermath, and their families also find the same in their losses. My heart is with these people. Not easy for anyone involved, for certain.
I think there will ptsd for sure, thinking of" How could I have gotten there faster, saved them etc." The officer that talks about stepping over victims rather than stopping to check vitals etc. One thing I hope helps them deal with taking that life is, they saved others by doing so. The fact he was there killing small children... They should feel no remorse for taking him out. In prison he would have got worse so they really just did him a favor. Ofc i Know non of that changes how it may affect them long term.
@@oynlengeymer2434that’s still something you battle and especially as an officer who is used to seeing everyone in a situation live and move forward… sadly this was no longer the regular situation those officers see on a day to day.
Thats because celebrating that you killed someone isnt normal. It would be a very strange look if they started talking as if they were heroes, expecting praise and recognition.

@@BananaRama1312 I believe they are saying it makes sense she would put others before herself due to her faith and the Christian household she was likely brought up in. I was raised catholic and I believe serving others and loving them is one of the foundational teachings of Christianity.
I got chills watching this video, they could not be more humble. These men are real heroes, who knows how this would've ended without their courage and tenacity.
I’m so impressed with the work these officers did. But, what stood out to me was when one of the officers said “I’m with you.” and squeezed the shoulder of the officer in front of him. It was like he was reminding him, “hey, I know this is scary, but I’ve got you.” I was even more amazed to learn that these guys hadn’t worked together as a team before. Even in such a terrifying situation, they came together and pulled this off so well. You can tell that officer Engelbert is a great leader. From the moment he stepped out of that car, he knew exactly what he needed to do, vocalized what he needed, and followed through with his plan. So much respect for all the officers involved.
He’s pushing the officer in front of him forward with that “hand on the shoulder”. Notice that everyone with a body cam was putting bodies between them and the shooter.
The hand on the shoulder is a non-verbal signal used by law enforcement and military personnel to say "I'm with you, let's move" Entering a room or going through a doorway alone, while you have backup is a no-no in both professions.
@@The0nlyy It's common in situations like this to remain in whatever communication you can. You can't always speak, or may be issuing other orders, so the hand on the shoulder lets the person in front know that the person behind has their back, and what their location is. The person in front now knows that they are covered from behind, and not alone
"I know my role." One of the single most important things that stick out in my mind that one of the police officers said. Same here bro, same here. Stay strong
Watching Engelbert arrive gives me chills each time. His feet hit the ground before the cruiser rolled into Park. After grabbing his rifle he makes his way toward the entry, as a staff member is updating him on the situation and what she knows, handing him the key, without ever slowing his stride. The entire time watching him, he remains unfazed by what he could be walking into only focused on why he has to get in there. You're a hero, Sir. Each and every one of you men and women there that day.
The on-the-fly room clearing and grouping, that is incredibly impressive. The fact that they don’t regularly work together, yet performed flawlessly in action, amazing job officers!
Really great communication skills on display in the full bodycam videos, especially the callouts by Officer Collazo. He uses equipment to refer to the other officers without knowing their names - "blue" for the guy with the blue shirt, "LPVO" for Engelbert since his rifle was the only one equipped with a Low-Power Variable Optic. True professionals, and actual Heroes(not something I too often say about law enforcement).
@@garretth.middleton9479 Collazo knew he was the less equipped between the riffle and the shotgun teammates. However, he could move faster, better mobility and visibility since he was carrying only a pistol. This was key to give the instructions and intelligence to the other members, and of course, he has 9 years experience in the corporation. What really strike me was the shotgun cop just jumping in ahead of everyone, he didn’t discharged his weapon but was key in clearing the room and moving very fast. Also, a shotgun for corridors operations are not the best option to neutralize the target if it’s a long distance. But he was fearless and ready to engage knowing he could just injury the target and receive counter fire. Noble commanders, noble men, nothing but respect and admiration.
@@paulohero Shotguns aren't really inaccurate until you go out many yards. The spread isn't as extreme as the movies. For the lengths they were looking at a shotgun is perfectly capable of staying within 3-4 inches of spread. The problem with them in reality is the low capacity, long reload time, time in between shots, and recoil.
The shooter wasn't interested in body count, that is why they shot at the police from the second floor foyer instead of going classroom to classroom. If the shooter wanted more victims they could have had them, sadly. But these officers are heroes and did an amazing job.
I went to school in high school with Michael Collazo… and knowing his military training and hearing him say “I’m with you” is truly genuine. Such a good moment, thank you for protecting our kids ❤
This is so tragic. Those poor men are going to have PTSD over having to walk over victims and yet they're some of the most courageous officers I've seen. They did everything right, and I just hope they know that :(
You can tell officer Rex is just broken.. I can’t imagine how many times these men have replayed this scenario in their minds 💔 this is so horrifying to watch as a young mother of 2 babies. I can not understand.
As a Texan I’m proud to see how these officers reacted. What we saw in uvalde from the officers from Texas was a disgrace!! These men did exactly what they were supposed to do.
The hurt in the man’s voice as he expressed how he had to step over a victim, I hope and pray he manages to get over that pain and come to realise the hero he is and how many lives he saved.
@CandPeanuts I'm not being disrespectful. I think the American politicians and gun lobbies who continually promote the use of high powered automatic weapons over the top of the cries for change by the parents of victims are being disrespectful though.
My father was a Miami Dade Sheriff Deputy I have nothing but respect for the law and these guys showed how it was supposed to be done they made entrance and showed incredible fortitude and balls of steel yes everyone of them are heroes and professionals thank you guys God bless

I'm not even from the US, but the way these officers have conducted themselves was nothing short of professional and heroic. I thank people like these, who have the courage to confront evil daily. And I pray that the light of the lives they've saved will lift the darkness of the life they had to take, which will no doubt weigh heavily on their souls, especially the man who had to take the shot. Even if the person was evil and deserved it. Bravo, gentlemen.
@Dougal Douglas there's no denying she/he had mil-type training prior to this/knowledge of the layout of school, like others. I know the other shooters were also trained. I'd also wondered about the responders and thought the same. These are exercises to push the ever so obvious agenda to disarm.
@Dougal Douglas yes I most certainly have. Unfortunately, this is due to people not doing the inner/self/shadow work we're all being called to do. We've all been submerged deep in materialism and the ego rules this. Spiritualism is what's missing and it's ruled by the heart. We require a balance of ego and heart yet most of us are unaware there's work to be done outside of the job titles and positions we hold. Most are unaware they are not merely their body alone. I've also found that most believe they know everything there is to know and don't want to be told differently. This is the unbalanced ego's way of surviving. Only the ego benefits from our ignorance about it and lack of self work, keeping ego in the driver's seat, making our decisions by way of reaction rather than heart-filled response. If you observe people, you'll quickly find that ego is the driving force in their lives, unbeknownst to most. It must be said that our consciousness had not evolved in such profound ways until now. The hidden hand has willed society and our behaviors are a direct result of this. Hopefully we'll start to see these kinds of people addressing exactly what I'd mentioned (doing self work) and taking advantage of the opportunity we're all currently presented with for the transformation of our souls.
@Ryan Gosling I understand but it would still be considered a promotion. He already has 4 years with the department, seems quick on his feet and very bright. He may be chief of police one day.
The tactical outcome of that day is a partial result that the "gun industry" in general helps due to the training regimens that they have developed for civilian and law enforcement. Without a civilian market, it would be unlikely that you would see any police officer with "SURE FIRE" lights as they cleared a dark room. Those inventions are a result of the gun industry meeting the needs of law enforcement as well as ordinary people who would like to feel safe if they ever were in danger. The scope on his rifle was a bit old but we must note that his side-mounted iron sights, again a benefit of the civilian market. Many of those inventions weren't "A Government Invention or Request"... so as much as people blame the gun industry for whatever, it also serves good in more ways then you realize.
We need to offer whatever support we can to these brave officers---personally, locally, and through prayers. This was a VERY traumatic situation for them, and would effect ANY person for the rest of their life. Not just being forced to take a life in self-defense, but they also had to witness all the victims--three of whom were little children. These brave men will have those horrific visions burned into their memories forever. They need all the moral and spiritual support that they can get, to get through this...
@@IveSeenSomeStuff That's also why in many instances officers support an armed citizenry. Good cops don't want good folks getting hurt either. Most of them can quickly tell the difference between a good person and a scumbag.

The mentors might not even know that they are doing so, but in the end, it still results in problems like these and perpetuates the cycle of corruption. I'm not saying not to question the world and how it works, but you can't do that with children. A lot of kids (and sometime adults) don't have the mental fortitude or care to have deep social and philosophical conversations without losing interest and just agreeing with what points you're trying to make especially when peer pressure is involved (mob rule). These new age ideologies preach about personal value, but in actuality, remove the value of individuals and seed a path to emptiness.
Yeah, I work in the food industry, and we were getting robbed, and it took the cops 35 minutes to get here. And they just walked in at a leisurely pace like nothing happened.

They did what they were trained to do, cleared rooms, responded to the sounds and neutralized the shooter, thank you to all involved, you saved lives!
I watched the video without any commentary earlier. Now watching this again 12+ hours later with the police giving annotations... I can't believe that these guys hadn't worked together before, they moved flawlessly together. I hope all the police that were involved that day are taking the appropriate time off from work to make sure their mental health is OK, because you as well went through a traumatic experience that day.

@Dougal Douglas hopefully my comment addressed to you above wasn't shadowbanned.

Entirely justifies that "contrversial" training facility in Atlanta is the currently being besieged.
How those situations go. Most large cities have multiple police departments. Most don’t really know each other on critical calls like this. War is even more chaotic. In Ar Ramadi, my guys were Army but we would have to often work with Marines and Navy (NSW) and in most cases nobody knew each other either. Law enforcement and war are unusual professions. Sometimes you just have to react to the situation and adapt to different training styles.
When I first saw the bodycam footage I remember thinking that responding to a school shooting would be a lot less stressful when you're working with officers you know well, so it's particularly amazing that the officers were so fearless even working with people they had never met.

Entitlement. You grow up thinking you're entitled to great things for no effort, then when life doesn't go your way and you aren't allowed to play with your toys you throw a fit and take your anger out on a bunch of vulnerable people.
This is a demonic spell being cast on our young people. “Entitlement” doesn’t even begin to explain this kind of satanic behavior. Are we awake yet, that this is a war in the unseen realm?
Mental illness
Indoctrination of objectively bad ideologies. Corrupted at a young age by low self-esteem, unethical mentors twisting and breaking them down till they have a mental break and commit to horrible actions such as shooting up a school. These corrupted mentors always talk about wanting to give them both sides of the argument by having them question everything, but they always use that to guide them with leading questions and answers.
I'm 90% sure my police department would be 2 hours late to the call. These guys are the stuff.
